Buzios is definitely a must if you come to Brazil. This beautiful and affluent beach town is just a 3hr drive from Rio de Janeiro and has been visited by celebrities from all over the world. The town sits on a peninsula with over 20 beaches, great restaurants and the best nightlife in the surrounding area. Florianopolis is in the south of Brazil and is the capital city of Santa Catarina state. THE BIGGEST WATERFALLS IN THE WORLD | Iguazu Falls, Brazil (275 waterfalls!)
Niagara Falls seems just a little smaller now! A true world wonder, Iguazu Falls sits on the border between Brazil and Argentina and is known as the biggest waterfalls in the world because of the sheer number of falls (275) and also because they stretch for 3km (longer than any other waterfall system). It is definitely a jaw dropping attraction and I would highly recommend visiting both sides in you are able to. But until then, join me for a virtual tour of the beautiful Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian side. Might even go for a little swim ;)

???????? The Brazilian Ukraine ???????? Prudentópolis City | Paraná, Brazil | 2023 【 4K UHD 】
At the end of the 19th century, the region was the land of Firmo Mendes de Queiroz, a descendant of São Paulo bandeirantes, who donated two pieces of land for the construction of a chapel in honor of Saint John the Baptist. In 1896, 1,500 Ukrainian families were attracted to the region, totaling eight thousand immigrants. The settlers were settled in different settlements, where they became small farmers, livestock farmers and industrialists. The municipality was formed in 1906, under the name Prudentópolis in honor of President Prudente de Morais. Immigration of Ukrainians to the region lasted until the mid-1920s and, currently, the municipality is considered the most Ukrainian in Brazil, with 80% of the population descending from immigrants.
The region where these Ukrainians came from is Galicina/Galicia, which was once autonomous and also belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Poland and Ukraine itself. The new geography, which places the territory predominantly in present-day Ukraine, was designed after the end of the First World War. The Poles from Prudentópolis, and the few Germans (Austrians) come from Galicia. This region was also populated by Jews, Poles, Germans and Austrians. Its capital is Lemberg (in German), also called Львів/Lviv (Ukrainian) or Lwów (Polish). Prudentópolis has a town called Nova Galícia, exactly in honor of this origin.
Prudentópolis is considered sister cities of UkraineTernopil, Ukraine.
Culture
The city has a characteristic architecture, with several buildings that refer to Slavic culture. On October 5, 2021, the city council unanimously approved Project Law no. 024/2021, which makes the Ukrainian language official in the municipality.

As terras das Cachoeiras e das Malhas: Prudentópolis e Imbituva, PR - Brasil - Ep. 47 (S04E05)
Prudentópolis:
A história do lugar começa no ano de 1896 quando em torno de 1500 famílias de imigrantes ucranianos chegaram à região que era de terras de Firmo Mendes de Queiroz. Com o tempo imigrantes de outras nacionalidades se juntaram como poloneses, alemães e italianos.
Atualmente, a grande maioria da população (cerca de 80%) tem descendência ucraniana fazendo com o o município seja considerado o mais ucraniano do Brasil.
Já seu nome atual, foi dado em homenagem ao presidente Prudente de Morais no ano de 1906.
Fato curioso sobre a cidade é que o empresário Junior Durski (Luiz Renato Durski Junior), proprietário da rede de restaurantes Madero, é natural dali. Ele é bisneto do primeiro prefeito (Coronel José Durski) e chegou a ser vereador no município aos 20 anos de idade.
O apelido Terra das Cachoeiras se deve à grande quantidade de queda d´água na região como o Salto São Francisco, com 196 metros de altura, e os Saltos Gêmeos, com pouco mais de 100 metros cada, por exemplo.

Sua história remonta ao ano de 1809 quando uma expedição rumo aos Campos de Guarapuava encontrou o território.
Sua fundação ocorreu somente em 1871 com o nome de Arraial do Cupim. O local era ponto de passagem e pouso dos tropeiros. Um bandeirante, Antonio Lourenço, inicio a construção da vila junto a alguns companheiros vindos de São Paulo. Imigrantes alemães, russos e italianos deram contribuições importantes para o crescimento do local.
O nome Imbituva veio somente em 1929. O nome da cidade deriva do nome de um rio que corta a região. E o significado é dos termos indígenas que se referem a uma terra com muito cipó, ou cipoal: imbé + tyba.
Atualmente a cidade é famosa pela sua produção de malhas tendo um festival muito importante no final do outono: a FEMALI (Feira de Malhas de Imbituva). Essa fama lhe garantiu um dos seus apelidos: Terra das Malhas.

Fanciest bus ride I've ever taken! If you are looking to travel around Brazil and are on a budget (plane tickets can sometimes be extremely expensive domestically), the double decker official buses are definitely the way to go. O Salto São Francisco é uma das maiores quedas d'água da região sul do Brasil, No ranking atual, 25° colocação (altura total). No ranking de saltos (queda livre), 9° lugar do Brasil.
A queda está localizada na Serra da Esperança, numa região de tríplice fronteira entre os municípios de Guarapuava, Prudentópolis e Turvo, no estado do Paraná, dentro da Área de Preservação Ambiental da Serra da Esperança.
