Hello everyone, today I will take you to visit a province in Cambodia, Prey Veng, before describing the activities in the resort, I would like to summarize the history of Prey Veng for you to know first.
Prey Veng Province has a total land area of about 4883 km2, which is equivalent to 2.70% of the total land area of Cambodia (181,035 km2), of which 445.18 km2 or 9.12% is People settled on 3100 km2 or 63.49% as agricultural land, 194.61 km2 or 3.99% as forest area, 1082.86 km2 or 22.18% as public land. Infrastructure and irrigation, and the remaining 60.35 km or 1.24% of the land is unused.
The total population is 1,025,331 or 7.64% of the total population of Cambodia 13,413,892 (2001, provincial data) with a population growth of 2.40%, of which 483,759 or 47 18% were men and 541,572 were men or 52.82% were women. Of these, 825,818 or 80.54% were farmers, 140,685 or 13.72% were fishermen, 44,561 or 4.35% were traders, 14,267 or 1.39 The average density of the province is 209.98 people per square kilometer.
Here is a brief history of Prey Veng province, then I will present this resort called Sokha Ravy village in Prey Veng province. This resort is organized in many traditional Khmer places.
The resort is designed as a thatched house to show the houses of the Cambodian people in the past because they chose to build a house from palm leaves, which can be used as a roof or wall. In this resort there have a boat made of wood, most Cambodian boats can also be made of palm trees, and very good quality, Cambodia in November has a program that is always celebrated in front of the Royal Palace, the Royal Water Festival. At that time, there were many boat races from various provinces in Cambodia. Along the road in the resort are some trees such as banana trees and palm trees. Oh, do you know what this's symbolizes? I'm sure you know it's an elephant, but why is it sleeping like this? In Cambodia, there is a saying that a dead elephant cannot be hidden, compared to people who make a mistake cannot be hidden. No, that's why they made a statue of an elephant lying dead and something came over the corpse. In this resort, there are many slogans that show visitors to read and understand all those slogans as well. There are a lots of traditional instruments like rice milling equipment of the Cambodian people, this is another new tool, the rice threshing instrument of the previous generation of the Cambodian people. It is also made of wood and it takes manpower to step on this device to hit the rice, it was a very popular tool of the Khmer people in the past. Modern Cambodians almost do not know what this device is because it is very old. Other landscape on the side of the resort with many palm trees, including a beautiful wooden bridge in the middle, it is a truly natural landscape. Cambodia is a country known to the world. Rich in palm trees and g palm trees are very important for the life of the Cambodian people. Because it provides a lot of fruit for processing.

Ba Phnom Resort is located in Chheur Kach commune, Ba Phnom district, about 78 kilometers east of Phnom Penh and 45 kilometers south of Prey Veng provincial town. Visitors traveling from Phnom Penh along National Road 1 should turn left at Kampong Sneung market and go about 7 kilometers. There are four mountains in Ba Phnom-Phnom Sampeou, Phnom Laang, Phnom Thom and Phnom Banhchor. Ba Phnom was once the ancient city Nokor Phnom, which was located near these mountains in Ba Phnom district. Few remnants of the city remain. Among those that can be seen are pieces of the ancient temple Prasat Chan, which was located in front of Wat Vihear Kuk, near the foot of Phnom Sampeou in Cheung Phnom commune. At one time, the city also had a palace and a hall, but both have been destroyed by years of war.
The view from the top of Ba Phnom is very picturesque. There is a big, rocky cave near the mountaintop that shelters wildlife. At the foot of mountain, there is a pagoda, Wat Phnom, also known as Wat Ba Phnom.Aroad circles the mountains, and a big pond lies the east of them. People live around the mountains. Ba Phnom has been eyed for tourism development east of the Mekong River, because the area attracts many people on weekends and during Cambodian festivals.
The resort of Ba Phnom has four mountains closed to each other, namely: Sam Por, Sa Ang, Thum and Bonh Chor mountain. Ba Phnom is the former old Capital named Nor Kor Phnom. Nowadays, it remains some evidence like an ancient temple called Pra Sat Chan located in front of Kuk pagoda closed to Sam Pov Mountain in Cheung Phnom Commune, halls and palace are completely damaged by war at that time. Ba Phnom has beautiful scenery when viewing from the above peak and big rocky caves, the hideout of wild life. At the mountain?s Valley, there is a pagoda named ?Ba Phnom? surrounded mountain rank and a big pond at the East of the pagoda. Around the mountain, there are residences of the local people.
Ba Phnom in Prey Veng was also the former old capital which was named as Nor Kor Phnom. You can also see some ancient temples like the Pra Sat Chan which is in front of the Kuk pagoda near the Sam Pov Mountain. The Ba Phnom Resort in Prey Veng has spectacular scenery from the mountain peaks. In the mountain valley is the Ba Phnom pagoda which is surrounded by mountains and there is a also a pond in the east. One of Prey Veng Tourist Attractions is its colorful festivals and holidays.

These attractive sites are the worshipping places for the people of Svay Rieng province who believe in mountain or Arak Neak Ta, and also the gathering places for local and international visitors from everywhere.

Svay Rieng (Khmer: ស្វាយរៀង, UNGEGN: Svay Riĕng [sʋaːj riəŋ], lit. 'The Mango's Range') is a province (khaet) in Cambodia. Located in the southeast, the province juts into Vietnam (Long An and Tây Ninh), which surrounds it to the north, east and south. The only other Cambodian province to border Svay Rieng is Prey Veng. The capital is Svay Rieng while the largest city is Bavet, which is the international border between Cambodia and Vietnam.

Boat Ride to The Bird Island | Poantaley Wildlife Sanctuary in Prey Veng
We're leaving Ba Phnum Mountain Tourism Site heading to Boeung Snaeh (Love Lake) to take a boat to the bird island (Poantaley bird nest island) or Poantaley Wildlife Sanctuary. The boat price is USD15 return trip. The boat can load up to 15 people. We spent 15min for the boat ride from departed point to the bird island of Poantaley Boeung Snae. It's a beautiful island and a safe home to many species living as home with families and relatives. This place is an island called Poantaley located, a small flooded forest island at Theay Commune, Ba Phnom District, Prey Veng Province in Cambodia.
