On our way home from a visit to Prescott, Arizona we made a quick stop at this @montezumanps established in 1908.
The 20 room high-rise apartment, nestled into a towering limestone cliff was built and used by the Sinagua people, a pre-Columbian culture closely related to the Hohokam and other indigenous peoples of the southwestern United States, between approximately AD 1100 and 1425.
It’s pretty impressive what good shape it seems to be in given its age and the harsh environment in which it stands.
As a bonus, we had visited the @museumofindigenouspeople in Prescott the day before and saw a cool model of the dwelling along with learning about various southwestern cultures.
