Fazenda Capoava - Porto Feliz
A Fazenda Capoava, fica próxima a Porto Feliz e que foi um grande polo colaborador do desenvolvimento da região pela indústria canavieira. Por volta do final do século XIX, o governo imperial brasileiro queria incentivar a criação de engenhos centrais de açúcar. Neste caminho, empresários franceses compraram usinas em Piracicaba, Porto Feliz, Villa de Raffard (Capivari), Lorena e Cupim (Campos, Estado do Rio).
As cidades de Capivari, Rafard, Porto Feliz e toda a região sofreram forte desenvolvimento pelo plantio da cana de açúcar. As histórias dessas cidades estão concretadas em engenhos e fazendas que agruparam diversas expedições fluviais (monções). Capoava tem uma população diretamente envolvida entorno de 400 pessoas, com aproximadamente 98 crianças de acordo com relatos da última contagem em 2014.
