Bequia - St Vincent & The Grenadines - Paradise instead of Death in Paradise
Bequia really delivered that paradise tropical island experience we wanted from a Caribbean cruise.
Its a tender point and the tender drops you in Port Elizabeth. Most visitors will take the pretty walkway to Princess Margaret Beach. This is a glorious beach but does get busy. The town of Port Elizabeth is fun to explore with its many bars and cafes. There is also a pleasant walk up to Fort Hamilton which provides spectacular views across the bay.
Our day in the paradise place was topped off with an excursion sailing to more remote spots on the island aboard the Schooner Scaramouche. This was great fun and we were taken to remote spots for some snorkelling and swimming.
Couldnt get enough of this place - Truly beautiful.

Kingstown, St Vincent - Our Day in Port
8 hours in beautiful St Vincent. This place has soul and the botanical gardens are said to be the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. These gardens are a must see…simply spectacular and made fun with a guide.
Friendly locals seem to be everywhere. Our taxi guide even asked to us FaceTime his wife at home so she could ask us questions about UK universities where their son was looking to study.
This was a memorable day where we soaked up the Caribbean culture.

Caraïbes! Saint-Vincent-et-les-Grenadines! Ferry, suivi d'un tour en jeep de l'île de Bequia
Début février 2022, nous nous sommes envolés pour la République Dominicaine pour passer deux semaines de vacances sur le bateau de croisière Costa Deliziosa. C'était une croisière dans les Caraïbes au cours de laquelle nous avons visité les îles suivantes : Bonaire, Aruba, Curaçao, Catalina, Grenade, Saint Vincent et les Grenadines, Sainte Lucie et Antigua.
Cette vidéo montre la cinquième étape de notre croisière : Saint-Vincent-et-les Grenadines, située dans l'archipel des Caraïbes du sud.
Dès le matin, nous partons en excursion. Il pleuvait, mais cela n'a pas arrêté notre voyage. Nous avons d'abord pris un ferry de Kingstown à l'île de Bequia, où des jeeps nous attendaient pour visiter cette île paradisiaque. Pendant le voyage, nous avons admiré les panoramas pittoresques de cette île montagneuse, baignée par la mer des Caraïbes d'un côté et l'océan Atlantique de l'autre. La végétation y est très riche et contrastée.
A midi, nous avons été amenés sur une très belle plage, où les guides nous ont proposé de boire de la limonade produite localement, ce qui était délicieux car la journée était très chaude. Nous avons passé 3 heures heureuses à nager dans la mer turquoise et limpide avec une eau transparente, des vues extraordinaires entouraient notre plage.
En fin de journée, les jeeps nous ont ramenés à Port Elizabeth pour embarquer sur le ferry. Le retour fut spectaculaire, une heure passée dans la bonne humeur, avec dégustation de punch à bord. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la visite de l'île inoubliable de Bequia lors de cette excursion.
