South Africa has all the features for a Dream travel destination; great weather, beautiful beaches, culture, friendly people, great cuisine.
Eastern Cape, South Africa prides itself with some of the most beautiful beaches and waterfalls in South Africa.
We drove from East London to Port Alfred, the scenic view is amazing- so green, full of mountains. Get to enjoy the beautiful scenery with crystal blue waters. They have a lovely restaurant and plenty of boat cruise companies by the Harbour.
We had lunch at a cute place that sells amazing amazing food in Port Alfred (opposite KFC);
Thee Braai House:
Their food was mouth watering, delicious & fresh, they were also so friendly (it's a family business- the mom & son), we even went again the same day to get dinner.
We then drove to Kenton-on-Sea which also has a beautiful beach, a mini sand bank, and just all the greenery and beautiful mountains.
The highlight for me was Shelley beach in Kenton-on-Sea! The beautiful dunes, the high mountain sand, the blue sea water, the amazing rocks and just all round stunning and beautiful views. A dream place to be, just dipping in the water, enjoying the sound of the birds and enjoying nature. To die for.

Refreshing, mesmerized and wonderful are some of the words to sum up our weekend away in Port Elizabeth.
For all the nature lovers out there, you will have plenty to see when visiting Port Elizabeth. For all the beach lovers out there, you will have so much fun in the sun with the beautiful beaches to chill, relax and read a book.
There are so much more to see and do in Port Elizabeth.
We only had a limited amount of time, so we found and listed the following few gems.
#1. We took a stroll down to Summerstrand. It is a central suburb of Port Elizabeth. It is situated near several golden beaches, shopping malls, golf courses and an oceanarium. Whichever way you choose to spend your time in this beautiful section of Port Elizabeth, you can expect a relaxing and rewarding holiday in Summerstrand.
#2. A quick drive to Sardinia Bay. This popular beach has picnic facilities and is regarded as one of the best walking beaches with miles of unspoilt coastline. You will find some of the best spots to enjoy the sunset.
#3. The Sacramento trail is a popular 8 km round trip coastal walk. Starting at the Sacramento cannon, the trail skirts the coastline, and returns slightly inland, through indigenous coastal dune bush and Fynbos. The area offers attractive seascapes and landscapes.
#4. Nature Reserve of Cape Recife Lighthouse is approximately 10 km from Port Elizabeth. The walking trail starts at the entrance gate of the Nature Reserve and offers beautiful unspoilt beaches, natural dune vegetation, rocky outcrops, a lighthouse built in 1849, an old military observation post, as well as a bird hide. #SouthAfrica #PortElizabeth #Summerstrand

I can't even begin to describe how amazing it was to visit Gqeberha / Port Elizabeth again after 10 years. We were both so excited to see this beautiful city again. One of the first things that struck us was the stunning walk on the pier. The views of the ocean were absolutely breathtaking and we were able to take some amazing pics while we were there. We also drove past the harbour, and were blown away by the beauty of all it. But for me, the real highlight of the trip was the buildings in the city centre itself. The old buildings were just gorgeous, and we loved the architecture. Fort Frederick was definitely another standout, with so much history to discover and explore. All-in-all, our trip to Gqeberha / Port Elizabeth was everything we could have hoped for and more. It was so incredible to revisit old memories and create new ones and I know we'll both treasure this experience for years to come! #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #southafricavlog #travelongravel #easterncape #gqeberha #portelizabeth

Two years ago I left the big city of Cape Town, towing my caravan and a speedboat with my lovely cat for company, never to return to the big city.
I'll be documenting my adventure and showing caravan parks that I spend time at in Southern Africa as well as some other subjects of interest to caravanners and adventurers in general.
This channel takes an in-depth look at smaller and off-grid living in Southern Africa.
The tiny house movement is small in Southern Africa, but is growing exponentially very quickly.
Southern Africa is vast and has areas of great beauty with weather that is unique and superb. These videos will interest adventurers of all ages. There are still ways to live in this world that allow one to wander the world, as John Wayne used to do in the old western movies.
As I get older I have the choice to sit in four walls, watch TV and get grumpy, or go off and have an adventure in my old age.
I've decided to choose the adventure and I'm surprised at what I've found. I'm seeing some great places and having some fantastic experiences.
Hopefully these videos will bring out your inner 'John Wayne'.

Camping in South Africa @ Port Alfred / with Acacia & Michael
Off to Port Alfred we go for the long weekend ! We woke up super early to get there as soon as possible, put the boards on the roof and hit the road with the sun rising. We set up camp right on the Kowie river at a place called Willows Caravan Park, directly across from the Marina with quick and easy access to the beach. After an unsuccessful surf mission on the first day we took a free Game drive which is a popular route as it borders some of the well-known Big Five game reserves in the area. We saw some interesting animals but unfortunately not the lion Michael was hoping for. The next day we woke up and headed straight for the beach where we enjoyed coffee then suited up for a surf. Spent the day on the beach and ended it off with a sunset paddle around the marina and under the big bridge.
