Karen Brown's Manoir du Stang, La Forêt-Fouesnant, France
Manoir du Stang is a charming hotel in the town of La Forêt-Fouesnant, France. Set behind a moat and an arched gateway with a tower, this is certainly not an ordinary house, but rather a very dramatic home that affords regal accommodations. At the front of the handsome manor there are beautifully maintained, French-style gardens, while at the back you find a small lake and extensive woods.

Heute gehts auf hoch die Steilküste der Bretagne. Ab Paimpol ändert sich das Landschaftsbild, die Gegend wird steiniger und rauher, aber nicht minder beeindruckend. Mit einer gemütlichen Pause im Le p'tit bar in Bréhéc erreichte ich knapp vor Schließung den Campingplatz Bellevue in der Nähe von Trévéneuc, der mit einer wirklich tollen Aussicht punktet.

We were due to catch the Saint Malo Portsmouth overnight ferry on this day but our journey home became a nightmare due to the yellow vest protests. We missed our ferry but after about 12 hours we managed to get back to our French home. We started off very early the next day & after another ordeal caught the ferry at Caen.

Driving along the D2164 & N164 from 22570 Bon Repos sur Blavet through 22570 Gouarec & 22110 Plouguernével to 22110 Rostrenen, Côtes d'Armor, Brittany, France. At 22110 Rostrenen (Rond Point De Lann Ogee Intermarche roundabout) take the 2nd exit to the Intermarche supermarket store (Zone Artisanale Goasnel Prat). Next, back to the traffic roundabout onto the D790 Route de Saint-Brieuc & then left to 22110 Pempoul Éven & heading towards the D31.
