WE VISITED THE EQUATOR MONUMENT | Tugu Khatulistiwa Pontianak in West Borneo
One of the most popular things to do in Pontianak is to visit the Tugu Khatulistiwa - the Equator Monument. Nicknamed Kota Khatulistiwa (Equator City), Pontianak is one of the few spots on earth where you can find an Equator Monument.
Tugu Khatulistiwa Pontianak is located on the banks of Sungai Kapuas (Kapuas River). Here, the Taman Khatulistiwa was built around the original Pontianak Equator Monument that was completed in 1928.
For lunch, we stopped by Siti Nurbaya, a Padang Restaurant in Pontianak to have a proper Nasi Padang.
