Jedním z tipů na rodinný výlet po okrese Jihlava, je návštěva gotického hradu Roštejn.
Tak tohle je Peklo, rybník Peklo a na jednom z břehů stojí zámek Polná. Dnes v něm najdete expozice muzea. Do většího povědomí se město dostalo na počátku 20. století díky procesu s Leopoldem Hilsnerem. Na Sezimově náměstí bojují o přízeň dva kostely a na Husově náměstí si můžete nakoupit nebo zajít do banky. V budově fary sídlí informační centrum a místní oddělení policie.
Krajské město Jihlava, ležící na českomoravské hranici, nabízí nejen 51 tisícům obyvatel, ale i turistům různé smyslové zážitky. Zajímavé je nejen Masarykovo náměstí s kostelem svatého Ignáce z Loyoly nebo budovou magistrátu, ale Příjemně si můžete odpočinout například v parku Gustava Mahlera v blízkosti dochovaného městského opevnění.
A nelze zapomenout na ZOO Jihlava, která vám mimo jiné zprostředkuje návštěvu africké vesnice Matongo.
Říčka Brtnice protéká stejnojmenným městem. 200 let se na jeho podobě podíleli Valdštejnové a 300 let Collaltové. Na náměstí Svobody váš pohled určitě upoutá barokní most, budova radnice, valdštejnský dům a farní kostel. V horním městě stojí Paulánský klášter a o kus dál zámek. Zámek najdete na levém břehu řeky. Budovy prochází pozvolnou rekonstrukcí a součástí areálu je i anglický park z 19. století.
Asi 14 kilometrů jižně od Jihlavy leží Třešť. Počátky města lze vysledovat již ve 14. století. Na náměstí T. G. Masaryka ukazují čas netradiční sloupové sluneční hodiny. Vedle sochy pana Tau stojí kostel svaté Kateřiny Sienské. Z bývalé synagogy je kulturní centrum.
Za mostem je kostel svatého Martina a dvoupatrový renesanční zámek, který dnes slouží jako hotel.
Batelovské náměstí Míru je ohraničeno křižovatkou na straně jedné a kostelem svatého Petra a Pavla na straně druhé. V městysu jsou také dva bývalé zámky, zámecký park a rybník.
Zajímavý rodinný výlet můžete podniknout na hrad Roštejn. Gotický hrad stojí v lesích již od 14. století. K dispozici máte dvě prohlídkové trasy a také výstup na věž.
Historické centrum města Telč je zapsáno v seznamu světového kulturního dědictví. O oprávněnosti tohoto zápisu se můžete na náměstí Jana Zachariáše z Hradce přesvědčit sami. A když už zde budete, nezapomeňte navštívit i zámek. Nejstarší památkou je 49 metrů vysoká věž.

T 478.4 is a class of diesel locomotives designed, manufactured and used in the former Czechoslovakia and now used in the Czech republic (ČD Class 754) and Slovak republic (ŽSR Class 754). Their distinctive cab design has led to the nickname goggles.

České Dráhy (ČD) or Czech Railways is the main railway operator in the Czech Republic. In 2010 its consolidated revenues reached CZK 41.0 billion (€1.6bn, $2.1bn). Revenues from passenger transport amounted to CZK 18.7 billion (65% transfer payments from the government, 25% intra-state transport, 10% international transport), revenues from freight transport operated by subsidiary ČD Cargo amounted to CZK 11.8 billion, revenues from traffic control invoiced to state-owned railway infrastructure operator SŽDC amounted to CZK 5.2 billion. With thirty-eight thousand employees ČD Group is the largest Czech company by the number of employees.
The company was established in 1993, after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia as a successor of the Czechoslovak State Railways. It is a member of the International Railway Union (UIC Country Code for Czech Republic is 54), Community of European Railways and the Organization for Railways Cooperation (Asia and Europe).
Until 1 July 2008, České dráhy was the biggest employer in the Czech Republic. After experiencing regular losses and requiring government subsidies, the railway reported its first ever profit in 2007 although it receives government subsidies. Attempts to make it more efficient are currently ongoing and a recent plan to move passenger transport to an independent subsidiary was approved by the Czech government in January 2008.
ČD operates trains; fixed infrastructure (such as tracks) is managed by SŽDC. In December 2010, the Czech government proposed bringing SŽDC and ČD together in a single holding company. The government has also changed the subsidies available to ČD and SŽDC.
ČD Cargo, the cargo subsidiary, mainly transports raw materials, intermediate goods and containers. As of 2009, it is ranked in the top five largest railway cargo operators in Europe.

Železná Ruda (literally iron ore, German: Markt Eisenstein) is a town in the Pilsen Region of the Czech Republic. It is located in the Šumava Mountains, close to the border with Bavaria and the German town Bayerisch Eisenstein. It is one of the important sports and tourism centres of the Šumava Mountains. The German name of the town comes from The Middle Ages, when it was a market town. Its German population was expelled after 1945.
Železná Ruda, lying in a wild mountain terrain between 710 and 1,214 metres (2,329 and 3,983 ft) is surrounded with thick coniferous woods. Its climate is cool and wet humid continental hemiboreal (Dfb) with moderately cold, long winters and cool summers. Average July temperature is 15.1 °C (59.2 °F) and average January temperature is −4.2 °C (24.4 °F). All year average is 5.7 °C (42.3 °F) and there falls some 967 mm of precipitations.
The town is surrounded by forests and green mountains. There are many popular tourist sites, such as the lakes Černé jezero and Čertovo jezero and Špičák peak (1,202 m).
