इस वीडियो में आप डीडीहाट का हृदय देखेंगे।पिथौरागढ़ जिले के डीडीहाट तहसील से मात्र डेढ़ किमी की दूरी पर स्थित हाटथर्प गाँव की सैर करेंगे।गाँव में पारंपरिक खेती धान, मंडुवा,जौ,भट्ट,गेँहू,काला भट्ट का उत्पादन किया जाता है।गाँव में वर्तमान में सौ परिवार निवास करते है।55 किमी की दूरी पर पिथौरागढ़ से दूरी पर बसा है।गाँव के नीचे चारमा(नेत्र धारा) बहती है।
हाटथर्प गाँव में बर्फ भी पड़ती है और मौसम हमेशा कूल रहता है।यहाँ रहने के लिए kmvn के गेस्ट हाउस और होटल रिजॉर्ट भी है।गाँव के ऊपर मलेनाथ स्वामी का है।
इस गाँव के लोगों ने अपने जंगल को बचाने का नायाब तरीका निकाला।हाटथर्प गाँव ने 8 साल पहले कोकिला माता को समर्पित किया है कोई भी जंगल से कच्ची लकड़ी नही कटेगा।ये जंगल 10 साल के लिए भगवती को चढ़ाया गया है।
हाट थर्प गाँव में लहलहाते खेत आपको मंत्र मुग्ध कर देंगे।गाँव में आज भी पुराने पारंपरिक मकान है जो देखने में काफी सुंदर दिखते है।

जौलजीबी का मेला , पिथौरागढ़
पिथौरागढ़ नगर से 68 kilometer की दूरी पर स्थित “जौलजीबी” एक प्रसिद्ध पर्यटन स्थल है। यह स्थान गोरी और काली नामक दो नदियों का संगम स्थल होने के कारण प्रसिद्ध है । इसके अलावा इसी संगम स्थल पर प्रतिवर्ष एक प्रसिद्ध मेला “जौलजीबी का मेला” आयोजित किया जाता है , जो पूरे भारत और नेपाल के लोगों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता है । जौलजीबी का मेला भारत नेपाल के साझी संस्कृति का एक ऐतिहासिक प्रतीक है | मेला मकर संक्रान्ति के शुभ अवसर पर आयोजित किया जाता है । जौलजीबी से 10 किमी की दूरी पर एक अन्य पर्यटक आकर्षण “कालापानी की पहाड़ी” है , जहाँ एक गर्म पानी का स्रोत है, जिसे औषधीय गुणों से युक्त माना जाता है ।
अभिलेखों के अनुसार, इस मेले का आयोजन पहली बार 1 नवंबर,1914 को हुआ था | प्रसिद्ध जौलजीबी के मेले को प्रतिवर्ष 14 नवम्बर”बाल दिवस” के अवसर पर आयोजन किया जाता है | जौलजीबी के मेले को प्रारंभ या आयोजित करने का सर्वप्रथम सारा श्रेय पाल ताल्लुकदार स्व. गजेंद्रबहादुर पाल को जाता है , जो कि अस्कोट के ताल्लुकदार थे | उन्होंने इस मेले को 1914 में आरम्भ किया था , हालांकि उस समय यह मेला धार्मिक रूप से आयोजित हुआ था लेकिन धीरे धीरे इस मेले का मुख्य रूप व्यवसायिक बन गया | जौलजीबी में काली-गोरी नदी का संगम स्थल और शिव का प्राचीन मंदिर स्थित है |
स्कन्दपुराण के अनुसार मानसरोवर जाने वाले यात्री को काली-गोरी नदी के संगम पर स्नानकर आगे बढ़ना चाहिए इसलिए मार्गशीर्ष महीने की संक्रान्ति को मेले का शुभारम्भ भी संगम पर स्नान से ही होता है | चीनी आक्रमण से पहले यह मेला उत्तरभारत का सबसे प्रसिद्ध मेला था | इस मेले में तिब्बत और नेपाल के व्यापारी बिलकुल सामान रूप से भागीदार होते थे | इस मेले में नेपाल से शहद और घी प्रमुख रूप से लाया जाता था। भारतीय क्षेत्र से धारचूला-मुनस्यारी तहसीलों के ‘भोटिया’ वर्ग के व्यापारी ऊनी वस्त्र जैसे- कालीन, चुटका, थुलमा, ऊनी पॅखी आदि बेचने हेतु मेले में लाते थे। तराई-भाबर से आने वाले व्यापारी वर्ग काष्ठ यन्त्र हल, जुआ, ठेकी आदि लाते थे | जौलजीबी का यह मेला चीनी आक्रमण के बाद सबसे अधिक प्रभावित हुआ जिसके कारण तिब्बत का सामान आना बंद हो गया और ऊनि व्यापार पर इसका उल्टा प्रभाव पड़ने लगा |
इस मेले से हमारी संस्कृति , रीति-रिवाज़ व परम्पराओ आदि से नयी पीढ़ी को ज्ञान प्राप्त होता है | जौलजीबी के मेले में सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम , लोक नृत्य एवम् कुमाउनी गीतों की प्रस्तुति मेले में समा बांध देती है.
