Famous for being home to one of the world's top football teams, the Rio de Janeiro Carnival and the remarkable Iguazu Falls, Brazil is an exciting world travel destination. As South America's largest country, Brazil covers a majority of the continent's northeastern region and borders all of its countries except for Chile and Ecuador. From the Amazon rainforest in the North to the tropical beaches along the Atlantic, to the Pantanal wetlands and the vibrant metropolises of the Southeast there are plenty of interesting places to visit in Brazil.
10_Sao Paulo
Not only is Sao Paulo the largest city in Brazil, but it is also one of the largest in the world according to population. Located in southeastern Brazil, Sao Paulo is known for its skyscrapers, gastronomy and robust culture scene. Although Sao Paulo is known for its concrete jungle, it is also home to a large number of public parks and even portions of the Atlantic rainforest.
9_Brasilia
Located in the Brazilian Highlands, Brasilia was installed in 1960 as Brazil's capital. Brazil's former President Juscelino Kubitschek ordered the city to be planned and developed into what some refer to as a utopia. Brasilia's modern day infrastructure is designed in the shape of an airplane in which each of its sections serve as different districts such as government, commercial, residential and cultural.

BONITO, BRAZIL: Travel Guide to Waterfalls, Parrots, BLUE CAVE & BEST JUNGLE
Bonito is a paradise in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul in southern Brazil, full of waterfalls, jungle walks and wildlife. The town itself is a great place for backpackers, adventurers and holidaymakers, with many nice restaurants and bars. From there, the natural world is at your feet. We make various tours to, among others, the Nascente Azul, Estancia Mimosa, Gruta do Lagoa Azul, Praia da Figueira and Ceita Corê. We travel there from the Amazon and then leave again in the direction of Sao Paolo. Bonito is a place that you cannot miss during a tour of Brazil!
We are visiting Brazil on a one year world tour and we may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, Bahamas, United States, Mexico, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Brazil is already our fourteenth destination. AMAZON, BRAZIL: Piranhas, monkeys and DOLPHINS in World's Best Jungle
The Amazon is a dream come true. We stay in the most beautiful lodge in the middle of the jungle, called Amazon Antonio's Lodge. We sail around all day among the monkeys, toucans, crocodiles and dolphins. Hundreds of birds fly around above our heads! We catch piranhas that we prepare on the barbecue ourselves, to have a feast under the stars. We also take walks through the tropical rainforest and our guide shows us how to catch animals and survive in nature. An AMAZING adventure and I'll take you all the way!

Brazil is the largest country in South America and the fifth largest nation in the world. It forms an enormous triangle on the eastern side of the continent with a 4,500-mile (7,400-kilometer) coastline along the Atlantic Ocean. It has borders with every South American country except Chile and Ecuador.
The Brazilian landscape is very varied. It is most well known for its dense forests, including the Amazon, the world's largest jungle, in the north. But there are also dry grasslands (called pampas), rugged hills, pine forests, sprawling wetlands, immense plateaus, and a long coastal plain.
Northern Brazil is dominated by the Amazon River and the jungles that surround it. The Amazon is not one river but a network of many hundreds of waterways. Its total length stretches 4,250 miles (6,840 kilometers). Thousands of species live in the river, including the infamous piranha and the boto, or pink river dolphin.

Would you believe we went fishing for piranhas on the Amazon River in Brazil! What an adventure and unique way to catch a fish. Most fish like calm still water, but not the red belly piranhas we caught! We went canoeing and also visited a local Amazon tribe.
