In today’s video I’m taking a look at the most beautiful towns in Colorado and the prettiest places to visit. The vast Rocky Mountains draw in visitors looking for a laidback vacation with amazing culture and attractions.
Enjoy a jam-packed day in one of the national parks or ski at one of the largest resorts in the country. Whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed as each of these towns offers stunning views and one-of-a-kind scenery.
Some of the towns on this list are lesser known and include some hidden gems. As a local, I go off the tourist path to find some unique and scenic towns to visit and with little tourist crowds.
From skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking, and camping in the summer, outdoor activities are a way of life in Colorado. The Centennial State is an ideal travel destination and one of the best places to visit for outdoor pursuits in every season.

Colorado Treasure The great state of Colorado is blessed to have 11 national forest with in its boarders. Pike National Forest is located in the front range west of Denver. It is expansive encompassing over 1,106,604 acres. The forest has countless trails and is a treat to live next to. Michelle and I have only scratched the surface with in this giant. We love exploring this massive treasure. Rolling Creek Trail is located outside of Bailey, Colorado on a dirt road NW of Wellington Lake. The trailhead also runs next to the legendary Colorado Trail. As we entered the parking lot there were a lot of cars parked along the way. We continued on and after some unmaintained rough road we rolled into the trailhead parking lot. The parking lot was bare. We loading up and it was time for our adventure to begin. This trail started off in a thick ponderosa pine forest with speckles of aspens and wildflower thickets. The trail was well marked and maintained. After our first mile in the forest changed into a pole pine paradise. It was surprisingly healthy with limited beetle kill. It is extremely rare to see the phenomenon anymore but when you do!!! Wowsa. It was like walking trough our own private corridor. We took in the view for the next .75 miles and pulled off to a view point. We could see that the viewpoint was populator and drew in past explorers. We to were drawn to the ledge. After climbing over a few boulders, we looked up and there it was! The Castle, a towering rock formation that took the show. Steadfast, strong, and powerful gracing the valley with shade and protection from the western winds. The complexity of the jagged mountain was something to see. After hitting the trail again, we continued on to multiple creek crossings and back country camp sites. Our journey continued as we crossed over into the Lost Creek Wilderness. After a short time we decided to head back to the trail head due to a storm forming to our west. A great walk in the woods with impressive views!!!
