A true world wonder, Iguazu Falls sits on the border between Brazil and Argentina and is known as the biggest waterfalls in the world because of the sheer number of falls (275) and also because they stretch for 3km (longer than any other waterfall system). It is definitely a jaw dropping attraction and I would highly recommend visiting both sides in you are able to. Maringá is a municipality in southern Brazil founded on 10 May 1947 as a planned urban area. It is the third-largest city in the state of Paraná, with 385,753 inhabitants in the city proper, and 764,906 in the metropolitan area (IBGE 2013). Travel Plans South America - We will spend 7 weeks in Brazil, Argentina and Chile
Duke and I love to travel. We are getting ready to leave on a 7 and a half week trip to South America. In this video we talk about our plans.
We will fly to Sāo Paulo, Brazil and then spend 8 days driving to Iguazu Falls. Along the way we will stay in Icapara, Curitiba, Joinville, Florianopolis, Urubici , Treze Tilias, Pato Branco and Dois Vizinhos. From Iguazu, Argentina we fly to Salta and spend a week exploring in the Argentine wine region. We will stay in Cachi, Molinos and Cafayate.
Then we go to Buenos Aires for a few days. From Buenos Aires we will fly to Ushuaia at the Southern tip of Argentina. We plan to take a 4 day Australis Cruise from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas, Chile. From there we will spend 6 days exploring the Patagonian mountains and lakes. In that region we will stay in Torres del Paine, Chile and El Calafate and El Chalten, Argentina.
Then we will fly from Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt and explore the Chilean Lake District. We plan to stay in Ensenada, Futurno, Pucon, Panguipulli and Frutillar. Finally we will spend a few days in Santiago and then fly home.
