Milan Metro Ride - Centrale FS to Turati | Italy | 21/11/23
Centrale FS is a station on Lines 2 and 3 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The Line 2 station was opened on 27 April 1970 as a one-station extension from Caiazzo. On 21 July 1971, the line was extended to Garibaldi FS. The Line 3 station was opened on 1 May 1990 as part of the inaugural section of the line between Duomo and Centrale. Initially, Duomo was connected with Centrale by shuttle service, and on 16 December 1990, with the extension of the line to Porta Romana, full-scale service started. The station remained the terminus of Line 3 until 12 May 1991, when Sondrio was opened.
The station is located just under the Milano Centrale railway station. The station is underground with two tracks in a single tunnel both for Line 3 and Line 2, Line 2 running deeper than Line 3. The station also serves the Pirelli Tower.
Turati is a station on Line 3 of the Milan Metro which opened on 1 May 1990, as part of the inaugural section of the line between Duomo and Centrale. Initially, Duomo was connected with Centrale by shuttle service, and on 16 December 1990, with the extension of the line to Porta Romana, full-scale service started.
The station is located on Via Filippo Turati, near Piazza Cavour, in the city centre of Milan. It is near the public gardens of Porta Venezia.
The station is underground, like all the other stations of the line and, like the other one in the city centre, it is built in two different overlapped tunnels, with the lower one sometimes being flooded.
Line 3 (Linea Tre in Italian, also known as M3) is a subway line serving Milan, Italy. The line is part of the Milan Metro and is operated by ATM. Construction began in 1981 in order to be ready for the 1990 Football World Cup. It is also called the Yellow Line (Linea Gialla) as it is identified by yellow signage.
The line connects the south-eastern suburb of San Donato Milanese to the north-western area of the city passing through the city centre. It is 17.1 km long with 21 stations.
History
The proposal for a third metro line was approved by Milan municipality in 1977. The route was chosen based on a study of main traffic routes in previous years. The final project was presented in early 1981 and works on the new line began on 8 September of the same year. The first section, from Centrale to Duomo was opened on 3 May 1990, just before the beginning of the World Cup. However, only a shuttle service was active between the two terminus. The line was extended to Porta Romana at the end of the year.
New extensions to Sondrio on the north and to San Donato on the south opened on 12 May 1991.
Works on the new line slowed during the following years. Zara station was inaugurated only on 16 December 1995 and Maciachini on 8 December 2003. The last extension (Maciachini-Comasina) opened in early 2011.
Route
The line, 16.6-kilometre long with 21 stations, runs from Comasina to San Donato, entirely underground.
Rolling stock
Trains use an overhead contact system providing a voltage of 1,500 V DC. The track gauge is the 1,435 mm (4 ft 8+1⁄2 in) standard gauge.
As of 2020, there are two types of trains running on the line:
The 8000 Series, built between 1989 and 2003 and the 900 Series Meneghino, introduced in 2011 for the line's extension to Comasina.
The 8000 Series has three subseries:
- standard 8000 Series, built by a consortium of Breda, Fiat Ferroviaria and OMS, with GTO–VVVF inverters made by ABB.
- 8080 Series, built by Socimi, with GTO–VVVF inverters made by Hitachi.
- 8100 Series, air-conditioned, walk-through version of the older 8000s introduced in 2003 for the line's extension to Machiachini.
Planned extension
A south extension of the line is planned. The new section will run from San Donato through the municipalities of San Donato Milanese, Peschiera Borromeo, Mediglia, Pantigliate, Settala and Paullo. The extension will be 14.8 km (9.2 mi) long with 6 stations and will be mostly underground (60%).
Although the project was approved in 2010, it was put on hold at the beginning of 2011 due to lack of funds. Works were planned to start in a future year.

Inizia da qui la nostra esplorazione che ci porterà ad altri gioielli Italiani. Oggi però ci siamo concessi un bando in questo Acquapark abbandonato (o quasi). Infatti ci sono EVIDENTI segni di vita quotidiana all'interno. Da mie informazioni, ci dovrebbe vivere un barbone non presente al momento della nostra visita. Abbiamo però incontrato una persona poco distante in un bar, che sembrerebbe essere l'uomo che vive dentro questo Parco Acquatico abbandonato.
In ogni caso noi volevamo volarci dentro e lo abbiamo fatto con DJI Mini 2 e vari droni FPV.

First a bankruptcy with a related budget hole of almost 60 million euros and then a change of ownership that saw the entry of Song Zhicai, a Chinese businessman sentenced to death in his country who tried to transform part of the property into a Greater China Market. His goal was to attract part of Paolo Sarpi's traders. It sold 170 commercial plates of 30 square meters to as many Chinese traders for 35 thousand euros each. However, he had never obtained the authorization from the Municipality which, obviously, when he realized what was happening, closed the business. As a reaction, the enraged traders kidnapped Zhicai for 24 hours, keeping him locked in the bathrooms of the Magic Movie, from where he was freed (so to speak) by the carabinieri, who immediately afterwards arrested him for fraud.
As we say, that of the Magic Movie is a story of decay and abandonment, but it is also a criminal story. In 2008 Francesco Forgione, at the time president of the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission, wrote about the business that moved around the Magic Movie Park as follows: An activity is underway in which an operational synergy in illicit investments between elements emerges for the first time. of Italian organized crime and foreign groups. To carry out the purchase of the property, worth 40 million euros, contacts were made with representatives of the Mancuso clan of Limbadi operating in the area, clan interested in the possibility of realizing the recycling of its liquidity through this initiative . And linked to the Magic Movie would also be the murder of Rocco Cristello, shot dead in Verano Brianza on 27 March 2008, considered by investigators to be one of the leading exponents of the 'Ndrangheta Brianza.Today, however, the Magic Movie is only of interest to those who have some annoying waste to be disposed of illegally or to vandals with a bit of anger in their bodies to vent. The interior is devastated and full of writing. Getting in, despite the nets and security cameras, is child's play, but it's just as easy to get hurt. On youtube alone there are about thirty videos documenting excursions by improvised explorers. The corridors are full of waste and broken glass, the cinemas are destroyed, the screens torn, mannequins dangle from the ceiling and here and there you can still see the flyers of the inauguration day. For at least five years the municipal administration has been trying to recover the structure, but no entrepreneur seems willing to take over the property, not even at a price ten times lower than his (the property is worth about 40 million euros). Three auctions, three holes in the water: the Magic Movie of Muggiò, the former cinema paradise on the outskirts of Milan, no longer seems to interest anyone.

Viaggerò 100 giorni, con la speranza di arrivare il più in là possibile, col miraggio dell'Iran che molto probabilmente rimarrà un miraggio. Rispetto alla prima bozza dell'itinerario fuori cose a cui non sono interessato tipo Medjugorje e dentro, ancora più concreta, la voglia di capire a distanza di 20 anni cosa sia cambiato e cosa sia rimasto immutato dalle guerre jugoslave.
E allora un altro inverno pieno di video sconclusionati ma che tanto piacciono a quei pochi che li guardano e via di nuovo con la bandiera della pace che girerà zone martoriate a causa di contrasti e differenze.
