On my birthday we took a nice relaxing ride in the countryside near Rome. Use it to decongest your eyes ... The place is located not far from Colleferro and Paliano. If you use it while doing fitness you will feel like running outdoors. Write me if you liked it in the comments.

EATING ITALIAN FOOD in Bologna. 5 Must Try Dishes in Italy (Canadians try Italian Food)
We spent a day eating loads of delicious Italian food in Bologna, Italy. Bologna, the capital of Emilia-Romagna is known to be the food capital of Italy (and maybe even the world). We tried to stick to dishes primarily from this region.
We started our day eating one of the most delicious sandwiches we’ve ever had, a piadina! Filled with cured pork, soft cheese, and rocket (arugula), all in flat bread, it was amazing!
Next up we headed to Mercato Delle Erbe (a local food market) to get a glass of locally made white wine and tagliere (a meat and cheese board)- filled with mortadella, salami, prosciutto, and parmigiano reggiano.
Lastly we headed to dinner where we shared a bottle of locally made sangiovese. To start we tried a vegetable pie, primarily made of spinach and covered in a light cheese sauce. Trevor had tagliatelle with ragu sauce (in the rest of the world we refer to this as bolognese but they don’t call it that in Bologna), and Anna had tortellini in brodo (pork tortellini in broth).
Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We’d highly encourage you to eat your way through Bologna!

Piada or Piadina Romagnola and “Piada alla Riminese” are the names used to describe this tasteful Italian product, made with simple and natural ingredients, following the traditional recipes of the rural inhabitants from Emilia Romagna.
Tortellini in brodo:
Tortellini en brodo (in broth) is a traditional first course for Christmas feasts in northern Italy. Because it calls for only a few ingredients, make sure they are of the highest quality, especially the chicken stock

It was started as a herb market at the beginning of the century, first renovated by Philip Buriani and Arturo Carpi in 1910 and rebuilt into the present market after the devastation of war. Besides, the noble Old Market that has been well known to all tourists, Mercato delle Erbe has been staying in the hearts of people from Bologna, of all the old and young, evoking memories, representing a habit and culture.

????The Colonna’s have been such an important family for the history of Rome. To give you an example:
✨Pope Martino V was a Colonna, and he was the Pope that brought back to Rome the Pope seat in the 1400s. The Pope seat in fact had been for almost 100 years in Avignon, France. This means that Rome returned being an important city and raised from its ashes thanks to that.
????What would Rome look like if Martino V wouldn’t have done that? Certainly very different!

Auf dem Agricampeggio Val della Pieve können 8 Wohnmobile stehen mit traumhaften Weitblick über die schöne Landschaft der Toskana. Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und sprechen ein bisschen englisch. Die Sanitäranlagen sind sauber und gepflegt. Zur historischen Altstadt von Anghiari sind es nur wenige hundert Meter. Beim Betreiber kann man Wein, Mehl und Olivenöl kaufen.
Auf dem Areal befinden sich mehrere Abwaschmöglichkeiten f. Geschirr/Wäsche, 1 Sanitärgebäude mit Duschen und Toiletten, Frischwasserversorgung, Stromsäulen, Pool.
Bei unserem Aufenthalt im März 2023 haben wir 20€/Tag inkl. Strom, V/E, WLAN, Hund bezahlt.
