Vishwarupa Darshan: (Morning 6 o clock)
Vishwarupa darshan of the pooja that takes place early in the morning.
Dwara Ganesha Deeparathanai and Palliyarai Deeparathanai are performed. Devotees believe that seeing Lord Palani Murugas darshan is highly beneficial and fulfills their wishes if they have vishwarupa darshan. Devotees are given rakalasanthanam, govanatheertham, flowers offered to the lord during previous night after Irakala poojai etc. as Thiruvamudhu.

தமிழ் கடவுள் முருகனின் மூன்றாம் படை வீடாக பக்தர்களால் போற்றப்படுவது பழனி முருகன் கோவில். போகர் சித்தர் உருவாக்கிய நவபாஷான மூலவர் சிலையான தண்டாயுதபாணியை வணங்கினால் தீராத நோய்கள் தீரும் என்பது நம்பிக்கை. இதன் காரணமாகவே லட்சக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் பாதையாத்திரையாக வந்து தண்டாயுதபாணியை வணங்கிச் செல்கின்றனர்.
பழனியில் போகர் சித்தர், புலிப்பாணி சித்தர் ஜீவசமாதிகளும் உள்ளதால் ஏராளமானோர் முருகனை வழிபட்டதோடு ஜீவ சமாதிகளையும் வழிபட்டு செல்கின்றனர். தைப்பூச திருவிழா, பங்குனி உத்திரம் என பிரசித்தி பெற்ற விழாக்கள் பழனியில் நடைபெறும்.
உலகப் புகழ் பெற்ற இந்த ஆலயத்தில் கடந்த 2006 ஆம் ஆண்டு கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடைபெற்றது. இந்த நிலையில் அடுத்த கும்பாபிஷேகம் 12 ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து அதாவது 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற இருக்க வேண்டும். ஆனால் பல்வேறு காரணங்களால் கும்பாபிஷேகம் தள்ளிவைக்கப்பட்டது.
இதற்கிடையே பழனி முருகன் கோவிலில் கும்பாபிஷேகத்தை விரைந்து நடத்த வேண்டும் என்று பக்தர்கள் தொடர்ந்து கோரிக்கை விடுத்தனர். அதைத்தொடர்ந்து கடந்த 2019ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் மாதம் கும்பாபிஷேகத்துக்கான பாலாலய பூஜை தொடங்கியது.
ஆனால் கொரோனா அச்சுறுத்தலால் கும்பாபிஷேக பணிகளில் தொய்வு ஏற்பட்டது. கொரோனா பரவல் குறைந்ததையடுத்து பழனி முருகன் கோவிலில் கும்பாபிஷேக பணிகள் மீண்டும் தொடங்கியது. அதன்படி சிதிலமடைந்த மண்டபங்கள், தூண்கள் சீரமைக்கப்பட்டன.
இதற்கிடையே இந்து சமய அறநிலையத்துறை அமைச்சர் சேகர்பாபு கடந்த ஜனவரி மாதம் பழனி முருகன் கோவிலில் ஆய்வு செய்தார். அப்போது விரைவில் கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடத்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என்றார்.
இதனையடுத்து பழனியில் கும்பாபிஷேக பணிகள் முழுவீச்சில் நடைபெற்றது. அதன்படி ராஜகோபுரத்தில் வர்ணம் பூசும் பணி நிறைவுற்றது. மேலும் கடந்த சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு தங்ககோபுரம் சுத்தப்படுத்தும் பணி நடைபெற்றது.
ஜனவரி 27ஆம் தேதி வெள்ளிக்கிழமை காலை 8 மணி முதல் 9.30 மணிக்குள் கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடைபெறும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதனால் பழனி மலைக் கோவில் உள்ள பரிவார தெய்வங்களுக்கு ஜனவரி 26ம் தேதி கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடைபெறும் எனவும், கும்பாபிஷேகத்தை முன்னிட்டு வரும் 25ஆம் தேதி முகூர்த்தக் கால் நடப்பட்டு ஜனவரி 18 ஆம் தேதி முதல் யாகசாலை பூஜை நடைபெறும் எனவும் அறங்காவலர் குழுவால் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஜனவரி 18ஆம் தேதி காலை 9 மணிக்கு கணபதி பூஜையுடன் பூர்வாங்க பூஜைகள் நடைபெறுகிறது. 23ஆம்தேதி மாலையில் முதற்கால யாகம் தொடங்குகிறது. பின்னர் பழனி பாதவிநாயகர் கோவில் முதல் இரட்டை விநாயகர் கோவில் வரை உள்ள அனைத்து பரிவார சன்னதிகளிலும் 26ஆம்தேதி காலை 9.50 மணியில் இருந்து 11 மணிக்குள் கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடைபெறுகிறது. அதைத்தொடர்ந்து ஜனவரி 27ஆம் தேதி வெள்ளிக்கிழமை சஷ்டி திதி, ரேவதி நட்சத்திரம், அமிர்தயோகம் கூடிய காலை 8.30 மணியில் இருந்து 9.30 மணிக்குள் பழனி முருகன் கோவில் ராஜகோபுரம், தங்ககோபுரத்துக்கு புனித நீர் ஊற்றப்பட்டு கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடைபெறுகிறது.

About Palani:
Palani is a town and a taluk headquarters in Dindigul district of the western part of Tamil Nadu state in India. It is located about 106 kilometres (66 mi) south-east of Coimbatore and 122 kilometres (76 mi) north-west of Madurai, 67 kilometres (42 mi) from Kodaikanal. The Palani Murugan Temple or Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple (Thiru Avinankudi), dedicated to Lord Murugan is situated on a hill overlooking the town. The temple is visited by more than 7 million pilgrims each year. As of 2011, the town had a population of 70,467 which makes it the second largest town in the district after Dindigul.
