1 - Parque da Independência
O Parque da Independência, inaugurado em 1989, no bairro do Ipiranga, faz parte do patrimônio histórico cultural brasileiro devido ao Grito da Independência do país, ali proclamada por D. Pedro I.
A área, de 161.300 m², abriga o Museu do Ipiranga, o Monumento à Independência e a Casa do Grito, além de um denso bosque e um grande trabalho de paisagismo no caminho entre o Monumento e o Museu.
2 - Museu do Ipiranga
O Museu do Ipiranga ou Museu Paulista, é o museu público mais antigo da cidade de São Paulo e faz parte do conjunto arquitetônico do Parque da Independência. É o mais importante museu da Universidade de São Paulo e um dos mais visitados da cidade. O museu foi inaugurado oficialmente em 7 de setembro de 1895 com o nome Museu de História Natural.
3 - Mercado Municipal de São Paulo
O Mercado Municipal de São Paulo é um ponto turístico obrigatório para todos os paulistanos e visitantes da cidade. Inaugurado em 1933, pelo escritório do arquiteto Francisco Ramos de Azevedo, possui 22.147 m² de área total e cerca de 260 permissionários, em boxes e restaurantes.
4 - Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo
Um dos museus de arte mais importantes do país, a Pinacoteca do Estado faz parte do conjunto que envolve a Estação da Luz, o Museu da Língua Portuguesa e o Memorial da Resistência. O museu é o mais antigo da cidade, por isso vale a pena não só conferir os obras que ele abriga como também a sua arquitetura.
5 - Teatro Municipal
Considerado um dos cartões postais da cidade, o teatro foi palco da Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922. Além disso, ele é sede da Orquestra Sinfônica Municipal de São Paulo, Orquestra Experimental de Repertório, Coral Lírico, o Coral Paulistano e o Ballet da cidade de São Paulo.
6 - Catedral da Sé
Além da sua beleza e da simbologia que a carrega, a Catedral da Sé é considerada um dos 5 maiores templos neogóticos do mundo. Ela é tida também como um símbolo contra a ditadura na época do regime e, nas manifestações de julho de 2013, foi o ponto de encontro de uma das maiores passeatas.
7 - Memorial da América Latina
O Memorial da América Latina é um centro cultural, político e de lazer, inaugurado em 18 de março de 1989 em São Paulo. O conjunto arquitetônico, projetado por Oscar Niemeyer, é um monumento à integração cultural, política, econômica e social da América Latina, localizado no bairro da Barra Funda.
O complexo é constituído por vários edifícios como: o Salão de Atos, a Biblioteca Latino-Americana, a Galeria Marta Traba, o Pavilhão da Criatividade, o Anexo dos Congressistas e o Auditório Simón Bolívar.
8 - MASP - Museu de Arte de São Paulo
Localizado na Av Paulista, o Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand é considerado uma das mais importantes instituições culturais brasileiras. O famoso vão livre de 70 metros que sustenta o museu, já recebeu obras de artistas como Picasso, Monet e Van Gogh.
9 - Estádio do Pacaembu
O Estádio Municipal Paulo Machado de Carvalho, mais conhecido por Estádio do Pacaembu, é um estádio desportivo localizado no bairro do Pacaembu, em São Paulo. Foi inaugurado na década de 1940 com capacidade para 70 mil espectadores e era considerado o mais moderno estádio da América do Sul.
Além do campo de futebol, o local também abriga o Complexo Esportivo do Pacaembu - que contém estruturas para atividades físicas variadas e o Museu do Futebol, construído embaixo das arquibancadas do estádio.
10 - Rua 25 de Março
Localizada no centro da cidade de São Paulo, a Rua 25 de Março é a mais famosa rua de comércio especializado da cidade e é conhecida em todo o país. Um movimentado centro de compras em atacado e varejo, a rua é repleta de comércio para todos os bolsos e necessidades, sendo a variedade de lojas famosa pela oferta de preços e diversidade.

This past January, on my parent's yearly trip to come to visit me, we decided to meet up in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Sao Paulo is Brazil is it's most populated city and a cultural haven for its residents.
We took a stroll through the popular Paulista Avenue and took the city sight-seeing bus the next day. The bus was able to take us through several neighborhoods like Ibirapuera Park, China Town in the Liberdade district/barrio, and the historical downtown area. We then took the metro (which is one of the most high-tech & organized subways I have seen so far!) and rode to the Jardin - garden- district to see the Octavia Frias de Oliveira Bridge, which is a famous landmark in Sao Paulo.
