Driving Inside Akure Nigeria - Ondo State Nigeria

Akure, town, capital of Ondo state, southwestern Nigeria. It lies in the southern part of the forested Yoruba Hills and at the intersection of roads from Ondo, Ilesha, Ado-Ekiti, and Owo. Akure is an agricultural trade centre for cassava, corn (maize), bananas, rice, palm oil and kernels, okra, rubber, coffee, and pumpkins. Although cocoa is by far the most important local commercial crop, cotton, teak, and palm produce are also cultivated for export. The town’s industries include electronics manufacturing, soft drink bottling, weaving, and pottery making. Akure is the site of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (founded in 1981), and the Federal College of Agriculture (1957). Pop. (2016 est.) urban agglom., 575,000.

Idanre Hill Nigeria

The hill of Idanre is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Nigeria. It includes such cultural sites as Owa's Palace, Shrines, Old Court, Belfry, Agbooogun footprint, thunder water (Omi Apaara) and burial mounds and grounds. It resides 3000 ft above sea level and houses a unique ecosystem upon which the cultural landscape has integrated. On getting to the entrance of the hill you will see a great tree at the entrance of the ancient city of Idanre called the IRAYE TREE, then you can now get prepared to take the steps to the great city beyond the hills of Idanre.

A visit to UNILORIN Dam Lake Resort Kwara state Nigeria

Unilorin lake resort or Unilorin dam as it is fondly called by most people is a tourist attraction located on the main campus of the university of ilorin kwara state Nigeria. It is an artificial lake with a dam created to give visitors that feel good look of a waterfront and also to provide an irrigation source for the university's extensive agricultural plantations. Admitance to the resort is free for sight seeing and a canoe ride costs 100 naira per individual.
