Turnhout es una ciudad ubicada en la provincia flamenca de Amberes, en Bélgica. Floreció como fruto de la convergencia de dos rutas comerciales importantes en la antiguedad además de la necesidad de proteger el castillo de caza de los duques de Brabante que yacía en la zona. En el siglo XVI Turnhout se convirtió en un rico centro comercial, aunque posteriormente sufrió una serie de altibajos provocados en su mayor medida por guerras, incendios y epidemias. A finales de la Edad Media fue un importante centro de tejido y comercio de ropa blanca y posteriormente, ya a principios del siglo XIX, estos oficios fueron reemplazados por industrias basadas en el uso del papel. En la actualidad la ciudad conserva gran parte de esta industria y es líder mundial en la industria de naipes.
Los invitamos a recorrer con nosotros no solo la ciudad sino también sus alrededores, a pie y en bicicleta. Visitaremos el beaterio de Turnhout, que está listado como patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO, el castillo de los Duques de Brabante, el molino Grote Bentelmolen y posteriormente daremos un paseo por la reserva natural Turnhouts Vennengebied para terminar nuestro recorrido en el pueblo de Weelde con una hermosa vista de los molinos Rosmolen y Arbeid Adelt. Lanaken is een dorp en een gemeente in de provincie Limburg in België . Het Kasteel Pietersheim en de aanpalende Waterburcht Pietersheim behoren tot de meest bezienswaardige historische gebouwen van de gemeente. Ze liggen in het 80 hectare groot domein Pietersheim, samen met een kinderboerderij. Was te zien in mijn vorige filmpjes, hier ziet u de dorpskern. Oud-Rekem is een dorp in de deelgemeente Rekem (gemeente Lanaken) . Het dorp heeft een van de meest authentiek bewaarde dorpskernen van België. Kijk je mee ?
Lanaken ist ein Ort und eine Gemeinde in der Provinz Limburg in Belgien. Schloss Pietersheim und das angrenzende Wasserschloss Pietersheim gehören zu den interessantesten historischen Bauwerken der Gemeinde. Sie befinden sich in der 80 Hektar großen Domäne Pietersheim, zusammen mit einem Streichelzoo. War in meinen vorherigen Videos zu sehen, hier sieht man das Dorfzentrum. Lanaken is a place and a municipality in the province of Limburg in Belgium. Pietersheim Castle and the adjacent Pietersheim Moated Castle are among the most interesting historical buildings in the municipality. They are located in the 80-hectare domain Pietersheim, together with a petting zoo. Was seen in my previous videos, here you can see the village center. After exiting the motorway we go right across the city center, turn, head back to the city center via an adjacent road, then pass by the railway station to end up on yet another corner of Turnhout.

Te midden één van Vlaanderens mooiste parken is het befaamde Kasteel van Brasschaat gelegen. De indrukwekkende inkomhal met open haard en het zonnige terras met zicht op de parkvijver dompelen u meteen onder in de sfeer van luxe en grandeur uit lang vervlogen tijden. De omgeving met prachtige groenpartijen, vijvers, fonteinen en een unieke rozentuin schept meteen de juiste sfeer. In de 18e eeuw werd de Helhoeve tot een lusthof verbouwd en in 1864 kwam dit in bezit van graaf Auguste Reusens. Diens zoon liet in 1872 de Helhoeve slopen en daarvoor in de plaats kwam een groot kasteel: het Kasteel van Brasschaat. The impressive entrance hall with fireplace and the sunny terrace with a view of the park pond immediately immerse you in the atmosphere of luxury and grandeur from times long past. The environment with beautiful green areas, ponds, fountains and a unique rose garden immediately creates the right atmosphere. In the 18th century, the Helhoeve was converted into a pleasure garden and in 1864 it came into the possession of Count Auguste Reusens. His son had the Helhoeve demolished in 1872 and a large castle was built in its place: the Castle of Brasschaat. Ter ere van de dertigste aflevering maken we met Toerist in Eigen Land een kleine stapje vlak over de Brabantse grens, en wel naar het Belgische Turnhout. Dat is niet van Baarle-Nassau en Baarle-Hertog, waar we eerder al waren. Prima te bereizen voor een dagje uit vanuit Nederland dus. Dion van Alem maakte een wandeling door deze stad in het noorden van België, vond een mooi kasteel, een kermis en vooral veel fietsers. Hij geeft in deze video zijn eerste reactie.
