Surrounded by Japan and China, Seoul and South Korea sometimes doesn't get all the attention is deserves . Korea is home to a unique culture, cuisine and a fascinating history. If you ever have the chance to visit Seoul, you'll have a great time!
I traveled to Seoul Korea and was able to do all kinds of things, but I've narrowed this list down to twenty five of the best things to do in Seoul - of course there are other things as well but this list is just the beginning and intended to get your ideas and travel imagination flowing!

I stayed in South Korea for just over 2 weeks and was able to complete this entire list of things to do in Seoul.
However, even though there are so many places to see and go, probably my favorite of all is eating and sampling delicious Korean food! Korean food is so good and there are so many restaurants everywhere you look in Seoul that it can truly be considered a foodie's paradise.

We recently visited Malgeumteo Park in Osan City, South Korea. This public park is just a 30-minute drive from Camp Humphreys. In this video, Alicya tours us around and explains why this park is so much fun. We had a great day relaxing and playing in the sun!

Osan Air Base To Gyebangsan: Day Trip Hike To The 5th Highest Peak In South Korea
Hiking Gyebangsan Mountain, South Korea. Gyebangsan is the 5th Highest Peak in South Korea, and is about a 2.5 hour drive from Osan Air Base. It was one of my goals to hike the 5 tallest peaks in South Korea, and I did just that on this hike on my last full weekend in the country. I was able to see some of the best hikes in all of South Korea. Looking for things to do in South Korea? Hiking is some of the best things to do. The country has amazing hiking with steep elevation gains, great challenges, and a hiking culture. I had amazing times traveling the country, and embracing the Korean culture while I was living abroad in South Korea. On this particular hike, I'm joined by my Uzbek, Puerto Rican, and Filipino friends. Much respect for all of the girls for surviving the hike. Shoutout to Khumora for crushing her first hike putting in 5.5 miles up some steep elevation.

Hiking in South Korea - Near Osan Air Base
No need to go far from Songtan/Osan Air Base to hike because they have a good hiking spot FOR FREE!
From the base, you can hire a taxi that will take you to Buraksan Hiking Reserve. Most taxi drivers know this place so getting there shouldn't be a problem. It will only take you less than 20 minutes to get there.
Best time to visit is Autumn because the foliage is just magnificent. Weather was cool, too! Bring your own food and drinks because there's not a lot of food choices at the hiking stop. Don't worry if you don't have a guide, the map is easy to read and the hike trail is easy. They also recommend this place for bikers.
There's a map upon the entrance to guide you plus english signs posted throughout the trail. After the hike, you'll exit to the streets of Songtan. It's best to hike early so it's not too dark when you leave the trail. Transportation going back can be hard so we advise that you bring a car or text a taxi on base to pick you up.
The hike is an easy one so you can finish the trail early. When we headed back we did not have a car or hailed a taxi but we walked our way to the base and even had a tour in the streets of Songtan. We suggest that you explore and enjoy the laid back feel of the city before you head back home.
