Hello from Rio de Janeiro! This was our first stop in Brazil and we were very excited to check out the top attractions, sample Brazilian cuisine, and squeeze in a little bit of beach time. We had an action packed week exploring the different neighbouhoods and trying everything from churrasco to brigadeiro, so we decided to film a city guide along the way. 25 Things to do in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil Travel Guide and Top Attractions Transcript:
First up, we started with the city’s most iconic sight: Christ Redeemer. We boarded the train as soon as the station opened and made our way to the top of Corcovado Mountain. Sometimes the statue can be shielded by fog, but we lucked out with beautiful blue skies and panoramic views of the city as far as the eye could see.
For a bit of colour, we headed over to the Selaron Steps, which is a tiled staircase created by Chilean artist, Jorge Selarón. Initially Selaron would scavenge construction sites looking for tiles, but in later years as his work gained notoriety, travellers began donating tiles.
Since we chose to stay in the neighbourhood of Ipanema, we ended up spending quite a bit of time at Ipanema Beach. We noticed that this beach was really popular for beach football, volleyball, and surfing. And of course, what makes this beach so iconic are its two mountains, known as Dois Irmãos. If you come here on a clear day, you can catch a killer sunset.
No visit to Rio de Janeiro would be complete without heading up Sugarloaf Mountain, so when the skies finally cleared that’s exactly what we did. We paid for our tickets and boarded the cable car for a somewhat unnerving ride up. If you’re scared of heights, this probably isn’t the attraction for you, however, if you manage to make it to the top you get some really cool panoramic views of Rio.
Copacabana Beach is the most famed beach in all of Rio de Janeiro and if you were to visit on a weekend during the summer months you’d find that the place is packed beyond belief. We happened to be here in winter so things were a lot more relaxed, but that didn’t stop visitors from braving the waters.
We did a favela tour to Babilônia and Chapéu Mangueira. On our tour we saw lots of street art, learned about life inside a favela.

MOST BEAUTIFUL city in the world is in BRAZIL! ????????
There is something magical about Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
It's not our favorite city, but to us, it's definitely the most beautiful city that we have ever visited.
It's the perfect mix of city life and nature. You will never run out of things to do in Rio.
You can spend your day parasailing, hiking, chilling at the beach, then go to a samba party at night.
So many beautiful viewpoints all around the city. Some that we visited are: Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, Bonita Rock, Chinese View, and Mirante de Dona Marta. The list goes on and on. Rio is truly beautiful.

Walking in the General Osorio Square ( Praça General Osório ) in Ipanema, with its street market (fera). A different aspect of this amazing neighborhood, well know for the Ipanema Beach, that inspired Vinicius de Moraes and Tom Jobim to compose Garota de Ipanema.
The square is bordered to the north by Rua Visconde de Pirajá, the main commercial street in Ipanema; Rua Jangadeiros to the east; Rua Prudente de Morais to the south, which extends west from the square; and the small Rua Teixeira de Melo to the west.
General Osório Square was designed by José Antônio Moreira Filho, 2nd Baron of Ipanema (1830–1899), founder of Vila Ipanema, the precursor to the present-day neighborhood. The square was formerly called Praça Ferreira Viana, and later Praça Marechal Floriano Peixoto, In 1922 it was renamed in honor of Manuel Luís Osório, Marquis of Erval (1808–1879), a Brazilian military officer during the Paraguayan War. Saracuras Fountain, designed by Valentim da Fonseca e Silva in 1796 at the Convento da Ajuda, was moved to the square in 1911 after the demolition of the convent.
The square was home to a happening titled Flags at General Osório Square (Bandeiras na Praça General Osório) in February 1968. Numerous artists of the period, including Nelson Leirner, Flávio Mota, Carlos Scliar, Hélio Oiticica, and others, decorated the square with textile art on the eve of Carnival. While the happening was not overtly political and attracted little attention from the military police, it closely predated the murder of Edson Luís de Lima Souto in March 1968 and the subsequent March of the One Hundred Thousand against the violence of the military regime. The Sunday Hippie Fair (Feira Hippie de Ipanema) at General Osório Square, a weekly art fair, dates to the same year.
General Osório Station, the terminal station of Line 1 of the Rio de Janeiro Metro, opened in December 2009 northeast of the square.

If you´re planning a trip to Brazil and don´t know where to stay, in this video I´m going to explain the differences between copacabana and ipanema and tell you in my opinion what is better: copacabana or ipanema district. Well, copacabana beach is probably the most famous beach in brazil and there´re many hotel and apartments options to have a pleasure stay in this area. Ipenma is located just next to copacabana and also is a beahc neighborhood! Before choose a hotel in copacabana or a hotel in ipanema to stay, check my video! It will help you to decide what is better for you!

This was the most exciting place to get lost in Rio! ????????
Most tourists stay only in Rio's South Zone (Copacabana, Ipanema, or Leblon).
But our friend, a local Brazilian took us to Rio de Janeiro's suburb neighborhood called Madureira.

Olá Caminhantes!
Hoje o Urbanista Caminhante te convida a conhecer um pouco do centro histórico da cidade de Pelotas.
Vamos explorar a Praça Coronel Pedro Osório e seu entorno, que é composto por lindos casarões cheios de história e que fazem parte de um conjunto tombado pelo IPHAN.
Começamos nossa caminhada pelo Clube Caixeiral, que surgiu a partir da mobilização de caixeiros viajantes e foi fundado em 25 de dezembro de 1879. Sua sede foi construída em 1904 por Caetano Casaretto.
Entramos na praça e encontramos alguns de seus vários monumentos, que ajudam a contar a história da cidade. Entre eles, estão os bustos de Dr. Brusque Filho, Dr. Francisco de Paula Amarante e Dr. Miguel Barcellos. Podemos sentar um pouquinho pra descansar ao lado do célebre escritor pelotense, João Simões Lopes Neto. A escultura, datada de 2016 é de autoria de Léo Santana, responsável por obras como a estátua de Carlos Drummond de Andrade, situada em um banco do calçadão de Copacabana, no Rio de Janeiro.
Passamos pelo Teatro Sete de Abril, o mais antigo teatro do Rio Grande do Sul e conhecemos Coronel Pedro Osório, personalidade que nomeia a praça e foi homenageada com um monumento de autoria de Antônio Caringi.
No bem no centro da praça, encontramos o Chafariz Fonte das Nereidas importado da França pela Companhia Hidráulica Pelotense em 1873 para ornamentar a cidade e abastecer a população do entorno com água potável. Uma curiosidade é que na cidade de Edimburgo, na Escócia, há um chafariz idêntico à Fonte das Nereidas.
Passamos pela antiga casa número 59, onde hoje resta apenas a fachada, e que pertenceu ao militar e político gaúcho, Manuel Luís Osório, o General Osório; pelas casas geminadas nº 1 e nº 3, que foram construídas pelo Comendador Joaquim Assumpção - o Barão de Jarau; pelos prédios Prédios nº 2, 6 e 8, que formam um conjunto arquitetônico eclético tombado pelo IPHAN e onde funcionam um centro cultural e o Museu do Doce e finalmente chegamos ao Teatro Guarany, inaugurado na noite de 30 de abril de 1921, quando a Companhia Lyrica Italiana Marranti estreou com a ópera O Guarani, de Carlos Gomes.

PELOTAS RS: O QUE FAZER NA BELA E HISTÓRICA PRINCESA DO SUL | EP 13 | ROCA NO MUNDO
Passamos 22 dias na belissíma cidade de Pelotas e nesse vídeo mostramos o que fazer nessa cidade que nos surpreendeu muito.
Saímos de São Miguel das Missões e rodamos pouco mais de 550km até chegar em Pelotas, onde a princípio não ficaríamos muito tempo, isso até percebermos que havia muito o que fazer na cidade.
A história de Pelotas está intimamente ligada ao charque entretanto hoje a estrela certamente são os doces. Pelotas é conhecida mundialmente pelo seus doces e isso é assunto sério na cidade, tanto que é palco da fenadoce (Capital Nacional do Doce). Isso certamente estará em qualquer roteiro sobre o que fazer em Pelotas.
Ao redor da Praça General Osório no centro de Pelotas estão vários edifícios históricos que atualmente são tombados e é uma boa pedida sobre o que fazer na cidade.
Bem próximo ainda está o mercado central com decoração importada da europa, a Igreja cabeluda e a Catedral Metropolitana São Francisco de Paula, essa um pouco mais distante, mas que rende o que fazer.
Saíndo do centro histórico de Pelotas fomos até a Praia do Laranjal passear na orla e andar no trapiche que fica na Lagoa (Laguna) dos Patos, outro lugar que também rende o que fazer em Pelotas.
Se o seu roteiro começar pela manhã, como o nosso, uma sugestão sobre o que fazer em Pelotas é tomar o café da manhã no Café Aquárius, um point famoso na cidade.
Falamos ainda sobre a história da charqueada com belissimos voos de drone sobre o rio Pelotas.
Finalizamos o vídeo nos jardins do Museu da Baronesa e convidando você a acompanhar nosso próximo vídeo.
