Epupa Falls is situated in the Kaokoland area, about 200 km north of Opuwo on the border with Angola. The river plunges to a height of 60 m and is surrounded by fantastic environment, wild figs and the Makalani palm trees that creates a stunning landscape.

Northern Namibia - Travel Destination
Strikingly set on the Andoni plains, one kilometre from Etosha National Park’s King Nehale gate is Etosha King Nehale. The lodge effortlessly portrays the shape of an Nguni cattle head, with chalets stunningly furrowed to the north and south, from the central area like a bull’s horns. Upon walking into the reception and curio shop, boma and dining areas, the Oshiwambo ethos is intriguingly evident from colours, fabrics, cutlery, chandelier, table engravings with impactful proverbs and other embellishments.
The chalets are spacious and stylishly adorned with a touch of Oshiwambo cultural ornaments, and each has its own plunge pool, allowing guests to behold boundless horizons of the Andoni plains. – Fit for a king and queen. The lodge hosts 40 rooms and pays homage to the rich cultural heritage of the area.
There is one detail that puts this lodge over the top: It is its private access to a secluded waterhole, Ontalelo Outpost, which is set in the Etosha National Park. This waterhole is reserved for Etosha King Nehale guests allowing them to immerse themselves in the tranquillity of nature and observe the rich diversity of the animal world in this corner of paradise.
To the north, the conservancy is surrounded by the pulsating life of the communal areas of the Oshikoto, Oshana, Ohangwena and Omusati regions. This new Gondwana lodge gives guests the opportunity to combine the natural wonders of Etosha with the cultural vibrancy of the Aawambo people.
Average income in Namibia and the SADC countries is significantly lower than in Europe or North America. Swakopmund is located in the Namib Desert and boasts to be an adventure centre of Namibia. The town also has plenty of places of interest and sights in and near it as well as offers a lot of tours and adventure activities run by local tour operators.
Swakopmund is a beach resort and an example of German colonial architecture. It was founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South West Africa. As of the 1970s, German influences remained evident, including German street names, a German daily newspaper, and the German language being spoken by some residents, prompting The New York Times to describe it as more German than Germany. A 2008 New York Times article describes the town as having the dislocating feel of a Baltic Sea resort set in the tropics.
Prominent colonial-time vintage buildings in Swakopmund include the Altes Gefängnis, a prison designed by Heinrich Bause in 1909. The Woermann Haus, built in 1906 with a prominent tower (Damara tower), is now a public library, Kaserne, Prinzessin Rupprecht Residenz - now a small B&B establishment, Hohenzollern House, Swakopmund Hotel (1900s-built railway station), 1905 Hansa Hotel, 1899 Fachwerk Biergarten, Villa Wille, German school, Otavi Bahnhof building, a Lutheran Church and many other fine buildings.
Other attractions in Swakopmund include a Swakopmund Museum, the National Marine Aquarium, Crystal Gallery, and spectacular sand dunes near Langstrand south of the Swakop River. Outside the city, the Rossmund Desert Golf Course is one of only five all-grass desert golf courses in the world. Nearby is a farm that offers camel rides to tourists and the Martin Luther steam locomotive, dating from 1896 and abandoned in the desert due to breakdown.

However, an increasing number of indigenous people are starting to take fate into their own hands by getting actively involved in the tourism industry. WINDHOEK HOSEA KUTAKO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN NAMIBIA SOUTHERN AFRICA
Windhoek Hosea Kutako International airport is located 42 km from Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.
Hosea Kutako International airport was built in 1964.
There is a shuttle service available after every flight arrival with a sedan vehicles or microbuses.
There are several versions why the airport was built so far from the capital. The first and most obvious is that large flat area suitable for international airport was only available 40 km from Windhoek. According to another strong winds in Windhoek during winter time can be dangerous for aircrafts.
Windhoek International airport has the following facilities: cafe, VIP lounge, two bureau de change, several car rental desks, airport information desk, passenger services desk, cellular phones rental desk, public telephones, customs offices, large recently renovated parking area with new clear road markings and signs, cargo depot, petrol station. The new hall underwent renovations in 2001.
According to survey conducted amongst several airports in Africa, Windhoek International airport has been acknowledged as the cleanest and safest in Africa, ahead of Johannesburg International airport (leaking roof seen by the author of this site does not qualify Johannesburg airport as the best in Africa). Convenient accommodation option is Valley Kappsfarm.
