Today we visited Ere Esie, I shared three myth stories about how the human turning into stone story came about and also shared the igbomina history...
I did some research...

Some highlights:
-1775 was when it was first discovered...
-Cultural myth/believe:They Consulted ifa who said they were humans turned to stone
-Archeologists different school of thoughts says they were carved and are and were not humans.
-They are over 1500-1700 soap stones
-Federal Government took over it in 1975
-Oba Yakubu Babalola, Egunjobi (the second) the present king said they won’t worship after 10years
-The king can’t come here, It is a taboo because there can’t be two kings in a particular place or location,He could visit before he becomes king but not as a king.
-Discovered some 2008 & 2010
-They weigh 105kg per images on an average.
-Modern hairstyle (both male and female) were seen, shukù, galaxy etc
