Este pequeño pueblo medieval se encuentra rodeado por los Pirineos. Es un lugar en donde mucha gente viene a hospedarse para luego ir a las montañas a esquiar.
Pero también es un lugar religioso muy importante. Además, tiene muchos edificios religiosos para tan pocos habitantes.
En esta ciudad se come muy bien y se disfruta de un agradable clima.
El barrio más visitado es el barrio medieval, lugar en donde se ubica una catedral medieval que aún se mantiene en pie.

Saint-Paul-de-Vence can be seen from afar, with its medieval appearance surrounded by ramparts, at the top of a hill between the Mediterranean and the Grasse Pre-Alps.
Many artists stayed there after the Second World War and brought an international reputation to the village.Today, the Maeght Foundation maintains the artistic vocation of the place.
It is certainly the most visited village in the hinterland of Nice and even one of the most touristic in France.
Located between Eze and Monaco, the town of Eze extends over three cornices with a drop of almost 700 m.
Eze Bord de Mer with its beach shaded by a maritime pine forest is home to many paths that wind between the Belle Epoque villas.
The narrow streets of Eze-Village are lined with old stately homes occupied by artists' or craftsmen's workshops and shops.
From the exotic garden, set in the ruins of a medieval fortress at the top of the village, the panorama extends beyond the Esterel massif. In winter, on a clear day, you can make out the Corsican mountains.
The Grande Corniche is a virgin space between sea and mountain. From this Mediterranean maquis, the gaze embraces the 360° landscape with, in winter, the snowy Mercantour, Italy and Saint-Tropez.
History:
The oldest traces of land use in the town date back to the Iron Age (around 400 BC) at Mont Bastide. Then the destiny of Eze is linked to that of Nice. In 1388, Eze was attached to the House of Savoy and was occupied by Turkish troops from Barbarossa for a few days in 1543. During the War of the Spanish Succession, the armies of Louis XIV destroyed the castle. Eze is attached to France in 1860.
During the Belle Epoque and then during the interwar period, tourists began to visit or stay in Eze. George Sand describes its tormented landscapes, Friedrich Nietzsche finishes his work “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” there, Prince William of Sweden takes up residence at Château Eza from 1923 to 1953.
Today personalities from the artistic world regularly reside in the town. Bono of the group U2, Julian Lennon are among the best known.

The Cathedral of Saint Mary of Bayonne or the Cathedral of Our Lady of Bayonne (French: Cathédrale Sainte-Marie de Bayonne or Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Bayonne; Basque: Santa Maria katedrala or Andre Maria katedrala), commonly known as Bayonne Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic church in the town of Bayonne, France. It is the seat of the former Bishops of Bayonne, now the Bishops of Bayonne, Lescar, and Oloron. The cathedral is in the Gothic architectural tradition.
The site was previously occupied by a Romanesque cathedral that was destroyed by two fires in 1258 and 1310. Construction of the present cathedral began in the 13th century and was completed at the beginning of the 17th, except for the two spires which were not finished until the 19th century.
The structure has been much restored and refurbished, notably by Émile Boeswildwald, architect to the French government in the 19th century, and a pupil of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc. The cathedral stands on the Pilgrimage Way of Santiago de Compostela.

WITNESS the MASCARET TIDAL WAVE on the River Garonne
Time for the second instalment of our Spain to UK video diary.
As we set off from Jaca and into France we warp through the Somport Tunnel into stunning countryside and quaint French villages. We arrive at our first French parkup in the village of Oloron Sainte Marie and are greeted by some old friends and a very well kept Aire service area which was a lovely place to stay for the night. However, the next day and evening certainly did not go to plan as we suddenly realised we were in a dangerous location and had to pack up camp and run for higher, safer ground.
Finally, to finish this video diary we decided after the previous worrying experience to take some well deserved rest and relaxation so we checked in to our first paid parkup in a wonderful campsite called Camping du Futur.

On our way from Bayonne to Toulouse we decided to visit the little village of Navarrenx. A village that has some very important ties as it turns out. We spent an interesting couple of hours here. So much in fact, that we didn't really have time to stop off any place else and got to Toulouse later than expected.
