Sossusvlei Dunes and Skeleton Coast Namibia - Low Flying Over Desert & Ocean
Low flying over the ancient red dunes of the Namib Desert at Sossusvlei, Namibia. We took off from the gravel airstrip at Sesriem, flew low over #Sossusvlei then towards the deserted Skeleton coast. Skimming the waves so that you almost feel like you could reach out and touch them is a once in a lifetime experience. Then back again with the late afternoon light illuminating these ancient dunes. If you get the chance I highly recommend this, it's money well spent. Sorry about the quality of the movie, it was a little rough at times.

Katutura is a township of Windhoek, Khomas Region, Namibia. Translation: Katututa is Otjiherero for The place where we do not want to live. Katutura was created in 1961 as an aftermath of the forced removal of Windhoek's black population from the Old Location, which later was developed into the suburb of Hochland Park. Sam Nujoma Stadium, built in 2005, is located within Katutura. Katutura Community Radio, a community-based radio station, also operates from the township as well Katutura State Hospital, one of two State Hospitals in the Windhoek area.
During the 1950s, the Windhoek municipality and the South African colonial administration decided to forcefully move the residents of the Old Location 8 kilometres to the north of the city, prompting the evicted people to give the new location the name Katutura, which means The place where we do not want to live in Herero.
For a number of reasons most residents did not want to move: they had owned land erven in Old Location while in Katutura all land belonged to Windhoek Municipality. The newly allocated erven were also a lot smaller than those in Old Location, effectively forbidding the creation of gardens. Also economically black residents were worse off after the move because they now had to pay rent to the municipality, and they needed a bus to reach their work places in town. In contrary Old Location was in walking distance to Windhoek central.
Following protests and an effective boycott of municipal services by Main Location residents, the police opened fire on the protesters on 10 December 1959, killing 11 and wounding 44 others. This event is known as the Old Location uprising, it is the reason for the declaration of December 10, Human Rights Day, as a Namibian national holiday.
The transfer to the new suburb took several years.

Piąta część filmu z podróży po Namibii. W Namibii spędziliśmy 5 tygodni. Objechaliśmy ją dookoła. Przemieszczaliśmy się samochodem 4X4 z namiotami na dachu. Autko wypożyczyliśmy u Polaka mieszkającego w Namibii, Jurka Mazgaja. Toyota było bardzo dobrze przygotowane. Nie mieliśmy żadnych problemów. Polecam firmę Jurka. Our Initiative to save the Rhinos - Challenge4ACause 2015 | Rhino Africa
Challenge4ACause, an initiative started by Rhino Africa seven years ago, is not just about the pure exhilaration, excitement and sense of achievement that comes along with cycling 350km through the Damaraland desert in Namibia.
Challenege4ACause is all about conservation and protecting Africa's incredible wildlife.
In 2015, Challenge4ACause raised over 1 million Rand for rhino conservation. The three charities supported by this initiative include Wildlife ACT, Save the Rhino Trust and the Good Work Foundation.
In this short video you can see why people undertake this challenge and why it leaves such a lasting impact on all those involved.

Cycle of Life
The Cycle of Life was a 5,000 bicycle expedition in search of conservation projects across Africa. Uniting for the first time two of Prince William's patron charities, Tusk and Centrepoint, with the team led by Barty Pleydell-Bouverie were two young people from the UK's homeless charity Centrepoint.
