I visited the MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN NIGERIA! OBUDU CATTLE RANCH CALABAR IN 2021
A while back, at the beginning of the year (2021) i and a few friends decide to visit the famous Obudu cattle ranch also known as Obudu mountain resort. This is by far the most beautiful place i have ever been to, the landscape there is so amazing! the view from the mountain top is nothing like i had ever seen. Words cannot explain just how beautiful this place is. Little wonder why Obudu mountain resort won the award for the best resort in Nigeria in past years. This resort is located in Cross river state (south south part of Nigeria) The capital of cross river state is Calabar and the resort is located in a community known as Obudu. There are lots of attractions at this resort and here is a list of them and the prices per person

These are the available attractions and how much the resort charges, although from my visit there, there isn't any known existing structure to ensure that this payment is made, and when we made the payment, there wasn't any receipt issued. So we found ourselves having to pay again at each point, the best approach would be to first talk to the locals there who are always excited to welcome visitors and help them around. For a little tip, they will go all out to ensure you enjoy your stay.
The road up the mountain is quite steep and so if you are driving there, be sure to go with a car that is in proper shape. Or you have the option of parking at the bottom of the mountain and mounting one of the many motorcycles that ferry people up and down the mountain. I would advice to do everything in your power to get your car up the mountain, because it will make your visits to the different attractions easier and more comfortable.

Obudu Cattle Ranch now known as Obudu Mountain Resort is a resort on the Obudu Plateau in Cross River State, Nigeria. A Scotsman developed a ranch and diary farm in 1951 on the Plateau. Later the government took over management of the property.
There several outdoor activities that can be done at Obudu Mountain resort from hiking to bird watching , cycling , visiting waterfalls and lots more. In 2005 a cable car was added to the amenities on the ranch, starting from the base to the Plateau it gives visitors a scenic view of the mountain range
Due to road network is about a six to eight drive from Calabar, the Cross River State capital. Always remember to say that you are going to the ranch as town itself is called Obudu

Obudu Cattle ranch A Hidden Paradise
We have one week to travel across 3 states in southern Nigeria.
We'll take off from Aba to Umuahia (Abia State) where we'll witness a Para Badminton game and then to Uyo (Akwa Ibom State) where we'll try to find one of the best soup in the state and we'll move down to Calabar (Cross River State) where we'll take off a 12hrs journey to Obudu cattle ranch.

OBUDU MOUNTAIN RESORT : A dreamy getaway in Nigeria
SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL: Visiting Obudu Mountain Resort had been on my to-do list for the past few years and when an opportunity to visit came up, I couldn’t pass upon it. Being from one of the busiest cities on the continent this trip was essential and it took me from the hustle and bustle to a place of serene. There were so many activities like the canopy walk, fern grove, bird watching. I visited the holy mountain, saw waterfalls and got to take a dip in a natural spring. I left the Obudu cattle ranch Calabar with my mind feeling refreshed and raring to create this travel film. You should visit the Obudu Mountain resort someday.

Obudu Mountain Resort is found on the Obudu Plateau, close to the Cameroon border in the northeastern part of Cross River State, approximately 110 kilometers (68 mi) east of the town of Ogoja and 65 kilometers (40 mi) from the town of Obudu in Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State. It is about 30 minutes drive from Obudu town and is about a 332 kilometers (206 mi) drive from Calabar, the Cross River State capital
