It is the Alps that fascinates most of the visitors but also the very well preserved villages. Although Switzerland is quite small, depending on the region, the villages and towns may look very different. In this video, the 10 most beautiful villages from allover the country will be presented in detail. While there may be a few that you might have heard of, there will be quite some surprises. Gruyères is THE place to experience the medieval vibes in Switzerland. The castle, the museums and furthermore the foodie world of Gruyères are really exciting to experience, do not forget to try fondue, Gruyère cheese and double cream! Zermatt is the most popular village on this list. Visit the many panoramas over the Swiss Alps, see the Matterhorn or simply explore the village of Zermatt itself! Discover the many beautiful traditional wooden houses scattered around this Swiss village! Visit what used to be the smallest municipality of Switzerland: Corippo. Stein am Rhein is also a very medieval and cultural village. The old town is perfectly preserved and charms with its many painted houses. Located in Oberlin, 20 miles from Westfield Great Northern Shopping Center, The Hotel at Oberlin provides air-conditioned rooms and a bar. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel features family rooms.
At the hotel, all rooms are equipped with a desk and a flat-screen TV. All guest rooms at The Hotel at Oberlin are equipped with a seating area.
The accommodation also provides a business center and guests can use the fax machine and photocopier at The Hotel at Oberlin.

Oberlin Ohio - It's Closer Than You Think!

Mt Oberlin looks the most prominent from Going-to-the-Sun Road or Highline Trail. It's part of a beautiful cirque formed by Mt Oberlin, Clements, and Cannon, and Oberlin is the most doable among the three. From Logan Pass the hike is only 3.6 miles round-trip and 1,500' elevation gain/loss.
The night before the hike I slept in the Loop, and it was rainy with temperature in the upper 30's. After sunrise, I waited at Logan Pass until the rain was surely gone before heading up at 9:45am. It went smoothly to the saddle between Clements and Oberlin. After the saddle the trail was faint, and I did a couple of solid class 3 scrambles to reach the summit. But your experience may differ depending on route chosen.
At the summit I waited a while for the sky to open up, but I got the opposite instead. Angry dark clouds gathered over my head so I came down quickly. Before I returned to my car it started raining. As soon as I shut the door, the rain turned to sleet.

Over the winter I binge-watched Yellowstone, the popular TV series on Paramount+. Intrigued by the pristine wilderness of the big sky state, I immediately booked the flights for the summer and started working on the itinerary. It's been 17 years since my last visit to Montana. Back in 2006 I did a road trip driving the scenic route from Yellowstone NP to Sturgis (a nod to Yellowstone S3E4). This time I came back just to hike.
On this 11-day road trip, minus flying and driving I had 9 full days of hiking, including 2 in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta and 7 in Glacier National Park in Montana. There's a high concentration of quality trails between the two parks, separated by an artificial and arbitrary line. Despite the uncertain weather, unplanned trail closure, and unexpected injury, this is one of the most efficient trips I've done, measured by time spent hiking divided by time spent driving, quality of scenery divided by distance hiked, and fun divided by money spent.

There's Art Museums, Oberlin Heritage Center, Tappan Square, Martin Luther King Jr Park. and Little Red School House. Oberlin was part of the Underground Railroad. Mt Oberlin climb, Glacier NP
Aug 11, 2021 - This was such a fun way to see the high country of Glacier NP.
I did the climb solo the first time, then took my daughter and family friend back because I knew they would enjoy it. This video combines footage from both trips as it was so windy the 2nd time the audio was useless. Also why I'm using a lot of music in the video.
