The BEST Place in ZANZIBAR - NUNGWI (Tanzania)
This is Nungwi in Zanzibar! an incredible spot by the Indian Ocean. It has some of the bluest water I have seen and is comparable to the Caribbean and the Quintana Roo coast of Mexico. I had only seen this type of water in places like Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum and Cancun when I was in Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula. But this place had not let me down! I started my journey in Stone Town further down the island of Zanzibar in Tanzania and then went up to Kendwa and finally Nungwi. You will see some drone shots of the beach and also 2 different resorts close to the beach.

Hotels in Zanzibar Near the Beach Nungwi to Kendwa, Tanzania
This video you will see the hotels in Zanzibar near the beach at Nungwi all the way to Kendwa Rocks.
North Nungwi,
This is the lovely quiet side of Nungwi Beach where you have the Turtle Aquarium at the end on the south. Double Tree by Hilton is in this area is one of the best hotels in Nungwi. Other Hotels include Flame Tree Cottages and Smiles Beach Hotel.Smiles Beach Hotel. The beach has a more local feel with fishermen and ladies and the traditional Dhow boats early in the morning. I would say this is the nicest beach in Nungwi and fairly quiet. However it does have a bit of seaweed on the sand.
Nungwi Village
You can’t go to Nungwi without visiting the village. Just walk around and see real life in Nungwi. It astonishes me that its literally 2 minutes walk behind these hotels. You can almost get anything you want there, but you might take a while trying to find it. A real African village to explore, with a lot of character and you can meet some wonderful friendly people. Hotels near the vilage include Ebony and Ivory, Union Bungalows, Paradise Beach Bungalows, Amaan Bungalows and Z Hotel.
South Nungwi
This area gets more crowded, especially around the Z Hotel area and there are a lot of tour touts offering to sell you boat trips to islands. They are friendly but after the tenth time it can get a bit annoying. Amaan Hotel is also around here which is an affordable hotel is recommended. There are a more restaurants and bars around here and its one of the best places to eat seafood near Paradise Bungalows in the evening. As you move south it gets more quieter with large resorts like Bao Bab Hotel and Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort.
Kendwa
The beach starts to get bigger and quieter again. There are mostly international tourists around this area. Reaching Kendwa, more hotels, noticeably Hotel La Gemma dell’ Est is a large Resort that is popular with foreigners in this area. Kendwa Rocks Hotel is the mecca of Kendwa. It has local and foreign tourists, so it’s a great mix.

ZANZIBAR, TANZANIA: Guide to PARADISE! The MOST Beautiful Beaches in Africa!
Zanzibar is a tropical island off the coast of Tanzania. The island has the most beautiful white beaches and sights in all of Africa. In this adventurous video, we take a trip as a family to this dream destination. First we fly from Tanzania to Zanzibar, then rent a car and visit the absolute highlights in this video: Nungwi Beach, Paye, Stone Town, Kendwa Beach, Jambiani, Mtende and Eden Rock. Before this you saw us in Asia and after Zanzibar we will cross over to the mainland to go on Safari. We go by jeep past all the animals through the most beautiful nature and also rent a camper to drive through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. We also visit Mauritius and Reunion by plane!
We make our journey through Africa during a world trip of one and a half years. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines . Zanzibar and Tanzania are already destination number 21 on the big trip. We have also been away from home for a year. Follow us on this world tour, first in Tanzania, from Zanzibar to the safari parks on the mainland and then to many more beautiful destinations in Africa!
