Syracuse NY is a beautiful city located in the heart of central New York. Syracuse has an interesting history, and is well worth the visit. There are many beautiful buildings in Syracuse, and many interesting facts to go with those buildings. Neighborhoods like clinton square, hanover square, and armory square ( a lot of squares!) have been revitalized tremendously, and are in great shape today.

Syracuse is the 5th largest city in New York, and it's the seat of Onondaga County, approximately the 11th largest county in NY. It sits on Onondaga Lake, although the lake is clearly an afterthought, due to its history of pollution. Syracuse is now important for being an important central crossroads, being the intersection of Interstates 90 and 81, and also was a major city on the Erie Canal. Welcome to the Great City of Syracuse, NY! On this spectacular adventure we travel all over the Syracuse, NY area and Onondaga County. We dive into some of Syracuse History by visiting Syracuse University and learning more about its ground breaking achievements. Syracuse is the Salt City, we explore the Onondaga Lake to experience the mystery that turned it into Salt City. On our way to Syracuse, NY, we stop by Downtown Syracuse and tour all the great must see areas. To further experience Syracuse, we travel to the Green Lake NY State Park. One of only a handful of Lakes in the country, the make up of the lake is unique in which the waters are green. And finally, we end our tour with a blast at the 2021 NY State Fair. The NY State Fair is the oldest fair in the country and the big bang to Summers End.
So let's go On Tour to discover the great city of Syracuse, NY, explore Syracuse University, and experience the 2021 NY State Fair.

Franklin Square is scenic and historic! Syracuse NY tourist stop! Old factory buildings
We're a long way from the early twentieth century Industrial Age. Some of these old factory districts have been converted into modern residential and office areas. Franklin Square in the Lakefront neighborhood of Syracuse is an example of how this type of conversion can be successful.
Today we're touring the central focus of Franklin Square- the park at the heat of the area. A Benjamin Franklin statue watches over the beautiful landscape. A magnificent fountain splashes on the other end.
The Franklin Square fountain is a gem. Many wedding photographers have captured memories for newlyweds at this fountain and we can see why.
The O. M. Edwards Building stands nearby. This 1906 construction is on the corner of Plum and Solar and is a architectural representation of manufacturing in the early 20th century.
