Hike through dense forests, see the world from an amazing view, and then set up camp for the night with your tour group. Rest up: you’ll need it for the upcoming stops! Nashville and Memphis are vibrant cities, home of country music, friendly locals, and, of course, moonshine.

Finally, arrive in New Orleans. This storied city is a place people dream of visiting their whole lives, so make sure to take advantage of everything it has to offer! ABOUT US.

We’re the Lockwoods: a family with 3 kids, 5 careers, and endless passion for adventure. Two years ago, we decided it was time for Phil's ad agency to abandon the in-person, 5-day workweek. So they 86’d the office and work hours, allowing our own family to start traveling almost constantly. We now work, school, and explore in a different place every week—from our own mountain and beach homes to exotic villas, resorts, and yachts around the world. As we experience and support diverse cultures, we hope to inspire more families to design a life of freedom and adventure.

Because there’s a new American Dream. It’s one that’s void of templated expectations, templated career paths, templated education, templated families, templated homes, and templated lives. Freedom is no longer an American tagline—it’s just the new, global way of life.

Every day that you spend doing something that doesn’t fulfill you to your core, you’re living your life on pause. You’re deferring genuine family time with no guarantee that there will be a tomorrow or a someday. Some people follow that mentality their entire lives. We’ve chosen to never live that way again.

We appreciate you following our journey. The more our channel grows, the more time we can spend traveling to more locations, contributing to these cultures, highlighting local businesses, and sharing inspiring stories from these communities. So please consider liking, commenting, and subscribing so that you can stick with us for the long haul.

Troy is a city in the U.S. state of New York and the seat of Rensselaer County. The city is located on the western edge of Rensselaer County and on the eastern bank of the Hudson River. Troy has close ties to the nearby cities of Albany and Schenectady, forming a region popularly called the Capital District. The city is one of the three major centers for the Albany Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which has a population of 1,170,483. At the 2010 census, the population of Troy was 50,129.

Today, Troy is home to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the oldest private engineering and technical university in the US, founded in 1824. Due to the confluence of major waterways and a geography that supported water power, the American industrial revolution took hold in this area, making Troy reputedly the fourth wealthiest city in America around the turn of the 20th century. Troy, therefore, is noted for a wealth of Victorian architecture downtown and elaborate private homes in various neighborhoods. Several churches have a concentrated collection of stained glass windows by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Troy is also home to the world renowned Troy Music Hall, officially the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, dating from the 1870s, which is said to have superb acoustics in a combination of restored and well preserved performance space.

Just a short slide show I made of my home town: Lindenhurst, New York. If you are a fan of the beach then you'll love Lindenhurst.

Fair Harbor Fire Island NY ???????? walking tour to Atlantic Ocean ???? from Great South Bay New York USA

Fair Harbor Fire Island NY ???????? walking tour to Atlantic Ocean ???? from Great South Bay New York USA ????????

The gorgeous harbor at the center of town is where residents gather for “Sixish” on the dock at sunset, enjoy a top notch dinner at Le Dock, grocery shop at Pioneer Market and cool off with an ice cream cone at Unfreindly’s. The bay front swim area and playground are always filled with happy noise and sandy kids.

A “Barefoot Community”, Fair Harbor is a laid back, informal, bustling community. The architecture is as varied as its residents, from humble 1940’s cottages to spacious modern homes. Many of New York’s professionals flock to this lovely, lively town. Whether with children or single, the residents are here for relaxation and fun.

The magnificent harbor view from the dock is the best on the island. Everyone gathers here in the evening for “Sixish” to toast the setting sun. Kids sell their wares while adults mingle and share a glass of wine. Fair Harbor is the perfect town for single professionals to meet and for families with kids who all like to run free.

It is easy to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle here. The lifeguarded bay beach is a gathering place for parents to relax and chat while the kids swim out to the raft or climb in the newly renovated playground.

Unfriendly’s ice cream store is nearby for refreshments when the going gets tough.

The Lifeguard-patrolled ocean beach is wide, sandy and clean. A pair of shoes is rarely spotted in this town.

The center of town is on the bay front with the Pioneer gourmet market, Unfriendly’s ice cream stand, Corliss General store, the Loading Dock liquor store, post office, and fire house. Events are held frequently at the fire house.

Le Dock restaurant on the bay front has a spectacular view and fine dining. Be sure to make reservations well ahead of time.

The first-rate volunteer fire department services Fair Harbor, Dunewood and Lonelyville, its close neighbors.

Although there are almost 400 homes, it is a closely knit community, with a strong and active membership in the Fair Harbor Community Association. They oversee the town services, including choosing the doctor, lifeguards, and maintaining the marina.

They sponsor the Annual Pine Walk Crafts Fair on the dock and bay front 4th of July weekend, which has grown into a major showcase for local artists.

Hurricane Sandy was referred to as “Superstore Sandy because it had lost some of the traits needed to call it a hurricane. Sandy developed as an ordinary hurricane in the Caribbean, but as it moved up the East Coast and encountered cooler air and water, it began to loose its tropical characteristics. Hurricane Sandy was no longer a hurricane when it made land fall on Fire Island which is why it is also called Superstorm Sandy. The October 2012 storm generated the highest storm tide ever recorded in New York, reaching to nearly 14 feet in height, about 9 feet of which was from storm surge.

Point o' Woods Fire Island NY ???????? walking tour from the Great South Bay New York USA 2021 4K video

Point O' Woods is a hamlet that consists of a private vacation retreat on Fire Island, New York, in Suffolk County. Although it resembles a village or small town, with services such as a ferry port, a general store, church and fire department, the private community is open exclusively to members and their guests, who are the only persons allowed in through the hamlet's gate, or allowed to use the private ferry that runs to Point O' Woods from Bay Shore on Long Island.

Point O Woods feels like another century, and residents here guard their privacy. This stunning community borders Ocean Bay Park on the west and a stretch of open National Seashore to the east. Ferries leave from Bay Shore

While it was a Category 2 hurricane off the coast of the Northeastern United States, the storm became the largest Atlantic hurricane on record as measured by diameter, with tropical-storm-force winds spanning 1,150 miles (1,850 km).

Hurricane Sandy was referred to as “Superstore Sandy because it had lost some of the traits needed to call it a hurricane.
