निवाड़ी जिला मध्यप्रदेश का सबसे नया एवं सबसे छोटा जिला है। निवाड़ी जिले का क्षेत्र टीकमगढ़ जिले का भाग हुआ करता था और 1 अक्टूबर 2018 को इसे अलग कर एक नए जिले में गठित किया गया। यह राज्य का 52वाँ जिला बना। इस जिले के अंतर्गत पृथ्वीपुर तहसील की 56 पंचायतें, निवाड़ी की 54 पंचायतें, ओरछा की 17 पंचायतें शामिल की गई। इस प्रकार यहां कुल 127 ग्राम पंचायतें शामिल की गई हैं। जनसंख्या और क्षेत्रफल दोनों के आधार पर यह मध्य प्रदेश का सबसे छोटा ज़िला है। निवाड़ी जिले के पहले कलेक्टर श्री अक्षयकुमार अधीक्षक मुकेश श्रीवास्तव होंगे। इस जिले से बेतवा नदी होकर गुजरती है,जिसके किनारे ओरछा नगर बसा है। निवाड़ी से राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 39 व राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 44 और राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 539 गुजरता है। निवाडी का एरिया 1318 वग॔ किलोमीटर है। निवाड़ी वर्तमान में मध्य प्रदेश का सबसे छोटा जिला है।बर्तमान में अभी इस जिले का vehicle cod नही आया है।

Barua Sagar Fort, Jarai-ka-Math & Finally Reached Orchha - Raja Ram Ki Nagri

Jarai-ka-Math is a temple dedicated to goddess Amba in Barua sagar near Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, India.
What a lovely flight around what might perhaps be India's most beautiful fort atop a small hill and overlooking a blue lake, with a small village, agricultural fields and big sky country on all side. Truly old world India unspoiled by the trappings of the new India, and urban-ness.
It is a large lake created about 260 years ago by Raja Udit Singh of Orchha, who built the embankment. According to reports in media, the dam is claimed to be built around 1694 A.D. The beautiful temple Jarai-ka-Math, and the historic forts of Bundelkhand are nearby attractions.
The fabulous Barua Sagar fort is situated on the banks of Baruasagar lake. The fort was built by Udit Singh a king of Orchha during 16 Century A.D.It is build on a hillock. It is categorised as Giri Durg .It offers a panoramic view of the lake.
The Orchha Fort complex, which houses a large number of ancient monuments consisting of the fort, palaces, temple, and other edifices, is located in the Orchha town in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The fort and other structures within it were built by the Bundela Rajputs starting from the early 16th century by King Rudra Pratap Singh of the Orchha State and others who followed him.
The fort complex, which is accessed from an arched causeway, leads to a large gateway. This is followed by a large quadrangular open yard surrounded by palaces. These are Raja Mahal or Raja Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, a temple, gardens and pavilions. The battlements of the fort have ornamentation. Notable architectural features in the fort complex are projecting balconies, open flat areas and decorated latticed windows.

Baruasagar Fort of Bundelkhand: Stunning aerial view of Rani Jhansi's Fort in central India
Baruasagar Fort and Lake near Orchha in Madhya Pradesh as seen from the air. Rani Jhanshi fought from the British from here. There is a even a secret passageway for a horse and rider to escape from the upper part of the fort to a lower set of rooms outside, in case of a hopeless capture situation.
Barua or BarwaSagar, situated in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh, is a small village of the Bundelkhand region. It is famous for a large lake, from which it draws its name, Barua Sagar Tal, built by the king of Orchha, Raja Udit Singh. He also built embankments around it. These embankments are built in steps style and are a marvelous piece of public architecture. A fort, now in much ruins, was also built by Raja Udit Singh. The fort commands an excellent view of this lake and surrounding landscapes. Ken-Betwa Link, a project of the Government of India, has this lake as the end point of the proposed canal to bring water from Ken river.
During the fight for supremacy over Bundelkhand between the Marathas and the Bundelas, a battle between the troops of the Peshwas and the Bundelas took place at Barua Sagar in 1744 CE. Being situated very near to Jhansi town, Barua Sagar played an instrumental role in the life and events connected with Rani Lakshmi Bai, the wife of Gangadhar Rao. After the death of Gangadhar Rao, Jhansi sank into an unstable political situation.
Nathe Khan, the prime minister of Orchha, took advantage of this and attacked on Jhansi. He conquered Barua Sagar and besieged the Jhansi fort. However he had to retract back after the pressure from the British. Barua Sagar was recaptured by Rani by employing 4,00 troops under the command of his father, Moropant Tambe.
Barua Sagar also found mention in Vrindavan Lal Verma’s historic novel ‘Jhansi ki Rani’. It was here where decoit Kunwar Sagar Singh submitted with his companions to Rani Lakshmi Bai. The whole gang of Sagar Singh later joined the army of the Rani. During the early days of the Indian Independence, the political workers kept a secret office at Barua Sagar from where hand-written news-bulletins were sent to neighboring princely states of Bundelkhand through special messengers, who distributed papers at night and came back to office in the mornings.
