Cape Town The Best Of South Africa Most Beautiful City In The World
South Africa's most beautiful city in the world Cape Town is not only a popular international tourist destination in South Africa but Africa as a whole. This is due to its mild climate, natural setting, and well-developed infrastructure. The city has several well-known natural features that attract tourists, most notably Table Mountain, which forms a large part of the Table Mountain National Park and is the back end of the City Bowl. Reaching the top of the mountain can be achieved either by hiking up or by taking the Table Mountain Cableway. Cape Point is recognized as the dramatic headland at the end of the Cape Peninsula. Many tourists also drive along Chapman's Peak Drive, a narrow road that links Noordhoek with Hout Bay, for the views of the Atlantic Ocean and nearby mountains. It is possible to either drive or hike up Signal Hill for closer views of the City Bowl and Table Mountain.
Many tourists also visit Cape Town's beaches, which are popular with local residents. Due to the city's unique geography, it is possible to visit several different beaches on the same day, each with a different setting and atmosphere. Though the Cape's water ranges from cold to mild, the difference between the two sides of the city is dramatic. While the Atlantic Seaboard averages annual water temperatures barely above that of coastal California around 13 °C (55 °F), the False Bay coast is much warmer, averaging between 16 and 17 °C (61 and 63 °F) annually. This is similar to water temperatures in much of the Northern Mediterranean (for example Nice). In summer, False Bay water averages slightly over 20 °C (68 °F), with 22 °C (72 °F) a common high. Beaches located on the Atlantic Coast tend to have very cold water due to the Benguela current which originates from the Southern Ocean, whilst the water at False Bay beaches may be warmer by up to 10 °C (18 °F) at the same moment due to the influence of the warm Agulhas current.[failed verification] It is a common misconception that False Bay is part of the Indian Ocean, with Cape Point being both the meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and the southernmost tip of Africa. The oceans in fact meet at the actual southernmost tip, Cape Agulhas, which lies approximately 150 kilometers (93 miles) to the southeast. The misconception is fuelled by the relative warmth of the False Bay water to the Atlantic Seaboard water, and the many confusing instances of Two Oceans in names synonymous with Cape Town, such as the Two Oceans Marathon, the Two Oceans Aquarium, and places such as Two Oceans wine farm.
Both coasts are equally popular, although the beaches in affluent Clifton and elsewhere on the Atlantic Coast are better developed with restaurants and cafés, with a strip of restaurants and bars accessible to the beach at Camps Bay. The Atlantic seaboard, known as Cape Town's Riviera, is regarded as one of the most scenic routes in South Africa, along the slopes of the Twelve Apostles to the boulders and white sand beaches of Llandudno, which the route ending in Hout Bay, a diverse bustling suburb with a harbor and a seal island. This fishing village is flanked by the Constantia valley and the picturesque Chapman's Peak drive. Boulders Beach near Simon's Town is known for its colony of African penguins. Surfing is popular and the city hosts the Red Bull Big Wave Africa surfing competition every year.
The city has several notable cultural attractions. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, built on top of part of the docks of the Port of Cape Town, is the city's most visited tourist attraction. It is also one of the city's most popular shopping venues, with several hundred shops and the Two Oceans Aquarium. The V&A also hosts the Nelson Mandela Gateway, through which ferries depart for Robben Island. It is possible to take a ferry from the V&A to Hout Bay, Simon's Town, and the Cape fur seal colonies on Seal and Duiker Islands. Several companies offer tours of the Cape Flats, a mostly Coloured township, and Khayelitsha, a mostly black township.
The most popular areas for visitors to stay in include Camps Bay, Sea Point, the V&A Waterfront, the City Bowl, Hout Bay, Constantia, Rondebosch, Newlands, and Somerset West.
In November 2013, Cape Town was voted the best global city in The Daily Telegraph's annual Travel Awards.

We started the day at the ever vibrant Oranjezicht City Farm Market and what a awesome experience this was, from fantastic views, vibrant atmosphere, to the most delicious food you can think of. Here Kelby tried the best Koeksista in Cape Town and this was vouched for by our lovely host, Kelby's sister Natasha. Thanks Tash.
Oranjezicht city farm market has a great variety, from delicious food to awesome flowers and lets not forget the little trinkets that are available, along with getting yourself kitted out in some great shoes and clothing, with views of the sea that are an added highlight....so cool.
Next stop was the ever popular Neighbourgoods market, but more commonly known as The Old Biscuit Mill market, which is located in Woodstock Cape Town. This market has everything you want, from an ice cold beer, to live music and fantastic food. This is where we spent most of our afternoon, having a nice cold beverage, whilst we listened to the awesome sounds from the live band.
Before we left The Old Biscuit Mill market, we ventured into the retail side of the market, looking at all the stunning clothing, sunglasses and everything it has to offer, before finishing up at the 'wishing well'. We both through our coins in the well and made our wishes and guess what??? One has already come true...YAY. We will let you know which one in an upcoming video.

Explore Newlands | Cape Town, South Africa
Nestled on the eastern foothills of Table Mountain's Newland Forest, lies the picturesque suburb of Newlands, one of South Africa's oldest and most highly valued neighbourhoods. Known as Cape Town's most leafy suburb, it is home to magnificent oak-lined avenues, the green Liesbeek Parkway corridor and world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
For many years, Newlands was host to a long history of international rugby and cricket matches, for this reason, its name has been rung throughout the world.
First named De Nieuwe Land under the Dutch rule of the early 1700's, the fertile soil and abundant water supplied by mountain streams, provided the perfect ground to grow and supply vegetables for passing ships. The area remained the property of the Dutch East India Company and included a gracious residence for high-ranking company until officials. In 1826 Newlands expanded and began to develop into the popular suburb that it is today.
The area is also home to Newlands Brewery. As the oldest commercial brewery in South Africa, its story began on the banks of the Liesbeek River where Pieter Visagie was granted the first brewing license in 1658.
Today, Newlands is arguably one of the most beautiful suburbs in Cape Town. It includes only the best homes, schools and sporting facilities. Its quiet, tree-lined streets have given it a quaint, village feeling, while the mountain and forest add a magical touch to the diverse and charming neighbourhood.
Well-known restaurants and historic pubs, namely the popular Barristers in the historic Cardiff Castle Building and Foresters Arms are famous for fun-filled gatherings after work or sporting events.
It should come as no surprise then, that residential properties in the Newlands area are highly sought-after by locals, South Africans from other cities, and discerning international buyers too. Our weekend trip to Cape town visiting our friends.
Our friends took us on an outing to Newlands Forest for a day hike and we were energized with the beautiful variety of trees and plants in the forest.
This was a perfect hike for a casual weekend outing
Newlands Forest is situated on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, it is a favorite among (dog) walkers, trail runners, leisurely strollers and nature lovers looking to get into nature without having to venture to far from the city center.
We would highly recommend visiting Newlands Forest whenever you are in Cape Town.
How to get there
The easiest way to access Newlands Forest is along the M3 highway just before the University of Cape Town Upper Campus (direction Cape Town CBD).
Look out for the Wildfire Services and Reservoir turnoff to the left. After turning left off the M3 turn immediately right and park in the large parking area.

A Walk in Newlands Forest in Cape Town
Walking and hiking in Newlands Forest, in Cape Town, is a very popular activity. There are numerous trails to explore. The area is patrolled by both the Park Rangers and SA Police (road routes), and it is heavily used so you are usually not alone, and there is ample free and safe parking.
There are a number of geocaches also hidden along the various trails, so if that is your thing, be sure to plan ahead for this. This particular route takes about 45 minutes and has no steps. Be sure though to take water with you, and always inform someone where you intend to walk and when you expect to be back. There is cellphone coverage along the whole route.
The base itself also has a helipad landing area where the helicopters land while doing fire fighting duties on the mountain.

AMAZING Newlands Forest Hike & Rose Picking at Ludwig's Roses | Things to do in Capetown
Hello lovely people!
We had a beautiful day last weekend hiking an almost 10K hike at the Newlands Forest and we finished it up with freshly made scones and flat whites at Ludwig's Rose Gardens.
As always, my aim for making this vlog is more of my memories sake but also, I want to share how amazing the views are here in Capetown. Most of our weekend activities cost almost close to nothing. No entrance fees, just the means of going there and sometimes we like to enjoy little bit of gastronomical experience.
