Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River. It's crossed by hundreds of canals, and also contains large areas of parkland. Near its core, Inner Alster lake is dotted with boats and surrounded by cafes. The city's central Jungfernstieg boulevard connects the Neustadt (new town) with the Altstadt (old town), home to landmarks like 18th-century St. Michael’s Church.

Germany's Most Beautiful City (Hamburg): 10€ Sightseeing Challenge
In this video we're exploring Hamburg, Germany, which is our home town and known by many as the most beautiful city in the world (ok – mainly by people from Hamburg, but it really is a very beautiful city). We've set ourselves the challenge of crafting a sightseeing tour through Hamburg with a budget of only 10€, while still covering nice views, important sights, transportation local food and drinks. Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany and definitely worth a visit if you're planning a trip to Germany!
We forgot to mention this important information: you can visit the Elbphilharmonie Plaza for free if you buy the tickets directly at the ticket counter. If you're going on a weekend the queues can be long though and tickets are limited – that's why we wanted to show you the option of booking your slot online (although it did cost 2€, which may not have been the smartest decision in a budget video ????).

Hallo and greeting from the northern port city of Hamburg, Germany where we we'll explore the top 10 things to do in Hamburg in this travel guide on a tight time constrained 24 hour visit! This is where Sam and I kicked off our recent trip across Germany, and while we only had one full day to explore, we hit the ground running ready to eat, see and do as much as possible. After a solid night's rest, we seemed to have kicked the jet lag, and we spent our day exploring the red-brick warehouses of Speicherstadt, touring the port by boat, eating our fill of pickled herring, taking part in a chocolate-making workshop, and a whole lot more. The following is our Hamburg travel guide and in this video we’re going to be sharing 10 things to do in Hamburg during your visit.

The Neumünster Collegiate church is a collegiate church in Würzburg, Germany. The church dates back to 1065. In 1060 Adalbero of Würzburg built a church with a nave and aisles and two choirs in Romanesque style.
From 1180 to 1250 the church was renovated and its eastern section was expanded. The Romanesque west choir was demolished, and from 1711 to 1716 Josef Greising built the west façade in Baroque style.
From 1725 the interior was redesigned in the baroque style by the brothers Johann Baptist Zimmermann and Dominikus Zimmermann. In the Second World War, the church was damaged. From 1945 to 1952 the interior was restored.

Neumünster is a city in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. With more than 79,000 registered inhabitants, it is the fourth-largest municipality in Schleswig-Holstein (behind Kiel, Lübeck and Flensburg).
The first historic record of the precursor village Wippendorf dates from 1127. The name refers to a new monastery Novum Monasterium built by the bishop Vicelinus. Since 1903 Neumünster is a so-called independent city (Kreisfreie Stadt) as it is not part of a district (Kreis).
The city was protested by the Rural People's Movement as part of a farmers' protest movement in northern Germany from 1928 to 1933, which was the basis for Hans Fallada's novel A Small Circus (Bauern, Bonzen und Bomben). The city's Hans Fallada Prize is named after him.
The Schleswig-Holstein NSDAP was founded in 1925 by Hinrich Lohse and received much support. On Kristallnacht in 1938, all Jewish men were arrested and sent to KZ Sachsenhausen.
During World War 2, Neumünster was bombed multiple times by Allied forces in 1945, partly because of its importance as a railway junction and industrial city. The British took control of the City in May 1945.
In the fall of 1946, the state of Schleswig-Holstein was founded and post-war Neumünster held its first municipal election.
Neumünster used to be a hub for the textile industry, seeing a lot of success in the 1970s. However, the industry eventually left the city and Neumünster's last cloth factory closed in the beginning of the 1990s.
Neumünster station is a major railway junction with lines running in six (formerly seven) directions, including the important Hamburg-Altona–Kiel and Neumünster–Flensburg lines.
Near Neumünster at Ehndorf, there is a high-power medium wave transmission facility for transmitting the programmes of Deutschlandfunk, the Ehndorf transmitter, which is often named incorrectly as Neumünster transmitter.
The city has an airfield and a hospital. The utility company, Stadtwerke Neumünster (SWN), also manages local inter-city bus routes.

It is at the junction of lines to Flensburg, Heide, Hamburg-Altona, Kiel, Bad Oldesloe, Kaltenkirchen and until 1985 Ascheberg. It is currently operated by Deutsche Bahn, which classifies it as a category 2 station.
In long-distance traffic ICE, EC and IC run on the roads from Hamburg to Kiel und Flensburg. Services which are no longer offered include ICE services to/from Copenhagen/Berlin Ostbahnhof and CNL services to/from Kopenhagen/Amsterdam.
The station has six tracks that are used in passenger transport. Normally they are used as follows:
Platform track 1: trains to and from Bad Oldesloe.
Platform track 2: trains to and from Kaltenkirchen–Hamburg-Eidelstedt.
Platform tracks 3, 4 and 5: trains to and from Hamburg, Kiel and Flensburg.
Platform track 6: trains operate to and from Heide–Büsum.

РАГУ: Груши, фасоль и бекон.
Северная Германия любит сочетать острое со сладким, как в этом
классическом рагу. Идеальное блюдо для конца лета!
Ингредиенты :
1 луковица
1 ст.л. растительного масла
1,25 л. мясного бульона
350 гр полосатый копченый бекон (одним куском)
750 гр зеленая стручковая фасоль
500 грамм мелкого неразваривающегося картофеля
500 грамм маленьких твердых груш
1 пучок чабера
1/2 пучка петрушки
Соль, перец и свеженатёртый мускатный орех по вкусу
ПРИГОТОВЛЕНИЕ:
1. Очистите и нарежьте кубиками лук.
Разогрейте масло в большой кастрюле и обжарьте нарезанный кубиками лук до прозрачности.
Влить 500 мл мясного бульона, добавить бекон (одним куском) и довести до кипения.
Готовьте бекон на медленном огне 20 минут.
2. Тем временем вымойте фасоль, очистите ее, при необходимости удалите нити и разрежьте пополам.
Картофель очистите и нарежьте некрупными кусочками.
Через 20 минут снимите бекон со сковороды и нарежьте ломтиками без кожуры.
Положите картофель и остаток бульона обратно в кастрюлю и дайте всему покипеть 10 минут.
Тем временем очистите и разрежьте груши на четыре части, вырежьте сердцевину и нарежьте четвертинки груш на дольки.
Добавьте в рагу груши и фасоль и варите еще 10-15 минут.
3.Чабер и петрушку вымыть, обсушить и нарезать листья. Добавьте травы в рагу и прогрейте. Приправить солью, перцем и мускатным орехом.Этот же рецепт на немецком:
Rezept:
Birnen, Bohnen und Speck .
Zutaten
1 Zwiebel
1 EL neutrales Pflanzenöl
1,25 l Fleischbrühe
350 g durchwachsener Räucherspeck
750 g grüne Bohnen
500 g kleine festkochende Kartoffeln
500 g kleine, feste Birnen (Kochbirnen)
1 Bund Bohnenkraut
1/2 Bund Petersilie
Salz Pfeffer frisch geriebene Muskatnuss
Zubereitung
1. Die Zwiebel schälen und würfeln. In einem großen Topf das Öl erhitzen und die Zwiebelwürfel darin glasig dünsten. 500 ml Fleischbrühe dazugießen, den Speck (am Stück) dazugeben und aufkochen. Den Speck 20 Min. bei kleiner Hitze kochen lassen.
2. Inzwischen die Bohnen waschen, putzen, falls nötig entfädeln und halbieren. Die Kartoffeln schälen und in mundgerechte Stücke schneiden. Den Speck nach 20 Min. aus dem Topf nehmen und ohne die Schwarte in Scheiben schneiden. Mit den Kartoffeln und der restlichen Brühe wieder in den Topf geben und alles 10 Min. kochen lassen. Inzwischen Birnen schälen, vierteln, das Kerngehäuse herausschneiden und die Birnenviertel in Spalten schneiden. Birnen und Bohnen zum Eintopf geben und alles weitere 10-15 Min. kochen lassen.
3. Bohnenkraut und Petersilie waschen, trocken schütteln, die Blättchen hacken. Die Kräuter zum Eintopf geben und darin erhitzen. Mit Salz, Pfeffer und Muskatnuss abschmecken.
