Narwar fort is located about 40 km away from Shivpuri, the city of historical monuments. The fort lies at a height of 500 ft above ground level and spread over in a very large area. It is full of many scenic spots including Tal Katora, Chandankhet Palace, Kachahari Palace and many more. The fort also has several magnificent temples including Pasar Devi Mata Mandir. It was part of the administration of Maratha-Scindia rulers in the 18th-19th century.

ऐतिहासिक स्मारकों की नगरी शिवपुरी से करीब 40 किलोमीटर दूर मौजूद है नरवर का विशाल किला। भूतल से 500 फीट ऊंची पहाड़ी पर बना यह किला बहुत बड़े क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है। नरवर किला कई दर्शनीय स्थलों से भरा है, जिनमें ताल कटोरा, चंदनखेत महल, कचहरी महल शामिल हैं। किले में एक ही जगह पर कई कूएं और बावड़ियां हैं। साथ ही यहां कई मंदिर भी मौजूद हैं, जिनमें पसर देवी का प्रसिद्ध मंदिर भी शामिल है। यह किला 18-19वीं शताब्दी में मराठा-सिंधिया शासकों के शासन का हिस्सा भी था।

Narwar Fort Trip on 100cc Bike | Narwar Ka Kila Shivpuri Madhya Pradesh Travel Vlog
Narwar Fort is situated atop a hill, at Narwar in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, about 500 feet above ground level spread over an area of 8 km², which stands on a steep scarp of the Vindhya Range. Kachwaha Rajputs are said to have built (or rebuilt) the fort when they occupied Narwar in the 10th century. Kachwaha, Parihara, and Tomara Rajputs held Narwar successively from 12th century onwards, until its capture by the Mughals in the 16th century. It was conquered by the Maratha chief Scindia in the early 19th century.

ग्वालियर किले के निर्माण की सही अवधि अनिश्चित है। एक स्थानीय किंवदंती के अनुसार, किले का निर्माण 3 ई. में सूरज सेन नामक एक स्थानीय राजा ने करवाया था। वह कुष्ठ से ठीक हो गया था, जब ग्वालीपा नाम के एक ऋषि ने उसे एक पवित्र तालाब से पानी की पेशकश की, जो अब किले के भीतर स्थित है। कृतज्ञ राजा ने एक किले का निर्माण किया, और इसका नाम ऋषि के नाम पर रखा। ऋषि ने राजा को पाल (रक्षक) की उपाधि दी, और उनसे कहा कि जब तक वे इस उपाधि को धारण करेंगे, किला उनके परिवार के कब्जे में रहेगा। सूरज सेन पाल के 83 वंशजों ने किले को नियंत्रित किया, लेकिन तेज करण नाम के 84वें ने इसे खो दिया।
अब जो किला परिसर है उसके भीतर पाए गए शिलालेख और स्मारकों से संकेत मिलता है कि यह 6 ठी शताब्दी की शुरुआत के रूप में अस्तित्व में था। एक ग्वालियर शिलालेख एक सूर्य मंदिर के शासनकाल के दौरान बनाया का वर्णन करता है Huna सम्राट मिहिरकुल 6 वीं शताब्दी में। तेली का मंदिर , अब किले के भीतर स्थित है, द्वारा बनाया गया था गुर्जर-प्रतिहार 9 वीं शताब्दी में।

1398 में, किला तोमरों के नियंत्रण में आ गया । तोमर शासकों में सबसे प्रतिष्ठित मान सिंह थे , जिन्होंने किले के भीतर कई स्मारकों का निर्माण किया था। दिल्ली सुल्तान सिकंदर लोदी 1505 में किले पर कब्जा करने की कोशिश की, लेकिन असफल रहा था। 1516 में उनके बेटे इब्राहिम लोदी द्वारा एक और हमले के परिणामस्वरूप मान सिंह की मृत्यु हो गई। तोमरों ने अंततः एक साल की घेराबंदी के बाद किले को दिल्ली सल्तनत को सौंप दिया ।
एक दशक के भीतर, मुगल सम्राट बाबर ने दिल्ली सल्तनत से किले पर कब्जा कर लिया । मुगलों किले के लिए खो दिया शेरशाह सूरी 1542 में बाद में, किले पर कब्जा कर लिया गया था और के द्वारा प्रयोग किया हेमू , हिंदू , पिछले आम और, बाद में हिन्दू के शासक दिल्ली , उनके कई अभियानों के लिए अपने आधार के रूप में है, लेकिन बाबर के पोते अकबर पुनः कब्जा यह 1558 में। अकबर ने किले को राजनीतिक बंदियों के लिए जेल बना दिया। उदाहरण के लिए, कामरान के बेटे अबुल-कासिम और अकबर के पहले चचेरे भाई को किले में पकड़कर मार डाला गया था। ग्वालियर के अंतिम तोमर राजा,महाराजा रामशाह तंवर , जिन्होंने तब मेवाड़ में शरण ली थी और हल्दीघाटी की लड़ाई में लड़े थे । वह अपने तीन पुत्रों (जिसमें शालिवाहन सिंह तोमर , उत्तराधिकारी भी शामिल थे) के साथ युद्ध में शहीद हो गए थे।
औरंगजेब के भाई, मुराद बख्श और भतीजे सुलेमान शिकोह को भी किले में मार दिया गया था। हत्याएं मान मंदिर पैलेस में हुईं। सिपिहर शिकोह को 1659 से 1675 तक ग्वालियर किले में कैद किया गया था। औरंगजेब के बेटे, मुहम्मद सुल्तान को जनवरी 1661 से दिसंबर 1672 तक किले में कैद किया गया था । औरंगजेब की मृत्यु के बाद, गोहद के राणा सरदारों ने ग्वालियर किले पर कब्जा कर लिया था। मराठों कई गिरावट द्वारा आयोजित प्रदेशों कब्जा कर लिया था मुगल साम्राज्य औरंगजेब की मृत्यु के बाद उत्तरी और मध्य भारत में। उत्तर भारत में मराठा घुसपैठ पेशवा बाजीराव द्वारा छापे गए थे. 1755-1756 में, मराठों ने गोहद के शासक को हराकर ग्वालियर किले पर कब्जा कर लिया। मराठा सामान्य महादजी शिंदे ( सिंधिया ) गोहाद राणा से किला पर कब्जा कर लिया छतरसिंह , लेकिन बाद में यह खो ब्रिटिश ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी । 3 अगस्त 1780 को, कैप्टन पोफम और ब्रूस के नेतृत्व में एक कंपनी बल ने रात के छापे में किले पर कब्जा कर लिया, 12 ग्रेनेडियर्स और 30 सिपाहियों के साथ दीवारों को नापते हुए । दोनों पक्षों को कुल मिलाकर 20 से कम घायल हुए। 1780 में, ब्रिटिश गवर्नर वारेन हेस्टिंग्सगोहद के राणाओं को किले को बहाल किया। चार साल बाद मराठों ने किले पर फिर से कब्जा कर लिया और इस बार अंग्रेजों ने हस्तक्षेप नहीं किया क्योंकि गोहद के राणा उनसे दुश्मनी कर चुके थे। दौलत राव सिंधिया दूसरे आंग्ल-मराठा युद्ध के दौरान अंग्रेजों से किला हार गए ।

1. NAGAUR FORT - It is said that Nagaur fort was initially built by ruler of Nag dynasty in 2nd century and was then rebuilt in the early 12th century. This fort has witnessed several battles and has also been altered multiple times. Being one of the first Mughal strongholds in North-India it is an outstanding example of Rajput-Mughal architecture.
2. LADNUN - Ladnun is an important centre of Jainism and is considered to be the spiritual hub of Ahimsa or compassion. Its temples were built in the 10th century and have a rich history. It also houses Jain Vishva Bharti University – a well-known centre of Jainism, spirituality and purification. It is said that the world famous rastra saint, Acharya Shri Tulsi belonged to Ladnun.
3. KHIMSAR FORT - It is said that the Nagaur fort was initially built by the ruler of the Nag dynasty in 2nd century, and this 500 year old fort, located on the eastern edge of the Thar Desert was built in about 1523. Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb used to stay at this fort. Black deer roam in herds around this fort. The fort has now been furnished with modern facilities and turned into a heritage hotel.
4. KUCHAMAN CITY - Kuchaman city has many sights to offer. The most important is Kuchaman Fort, one of the oldest and most inaccessible fort of Rajasthan situated on top of a straight hill. It possess unique water harvesting system, a beautiful palace and stunning wall paintings. The rulers of Jodhpur used to mint their gold and silver currency here.
5. KHATU - Khatu consists of two villages called Bari Khatu and Chhoti Khatu. Chhoti Khatu has a small fort on its hillock that was built by Prithviraj Chauhan. It also houses an old step-well called Phool Bawadi which is believed to have been built during the Gujara Pratihara period. It is a marvel of artistic architecture.
6. KUCHAMAN FORT
Perched at a height of 300 metres atop a cliff, the Kuchaman fort in Nagaur district of Rajasthan is clearly the biggest attraction in the city of Kuchaman. This fort was constructed back in the 9th century by the Rathore ruler Thakur Zalim Singh. Surrounded by 32 bastions, the fort has ten big gates that allow entrance into the fort from different sides.
7. AHHICHATRAGARH, NAGAUR FORT AND MUSEUM
Ahhichatragarh Fort literally translates into fort of the hooded cobra is situated in Nagaur. Spread over 36 acres, the fort was in a state of neglect till the 1980s. In 1985 the fort was placed in the care of the Mehrangarh Museum Trust. The fort has gradually been restored to its former glory with the support of four grants from the Getty Foundation, two from the UK-based Helen Hamlyn Trust and contributions from the Mehrangarh Museum Trust.
8. PASHUPATI NATH TEMPLE - The Pashupati Nath temple is a popular public attraction located in the Manjhwas village of Nagaur district in Rajasthan. This temple is believed to have been built by Yogi Ganeshnath in the year 1982. The Pashupati Nath temple stands at a distance of 20 kilometres from the Nagaur district headquarters on the Deh route. Dedicated to the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva, this temple has been built along the same lines as the Pashupati Nath temple in Nepal.
9. BADE PEER SAHEB DARGAH - Being a celebrated shrine, Bade Peer Sahab Dargah in Nagaur was also opened as a museum on the 17 th of April, 2008. While the most popular display at the Dargah is a Quran Shareef written in golden ink is said to be written by Hazrat Syed Saiffuddin Abdul Jilani, along with his cane and headdress, the museum is also home to several other items of historical importance. Visitors can look at old Indian coins from 1805, as well as American coins with the image of Abraham Lincoln, among others. Located on Syed Saifuddin Jilani Road, the Dargah is a well-frequented destination amongst people of faith and history buffs alike.

Tapkeshwar Mahadev Mandir Narwar Shivpuri Madhya Pradesh Travel Vlog 2021
Tapkeshwar mahadev mandir is about 12 Km from Narwar on the Shivpuri road. The Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple on the hill amidst the dense forest near Narwar Road under the Madikheda Dam has become the center of people's faith. There is no source of water around on the hill, yet there is always water dripping on the Shivling. There is a second cave inside the cave with a stream of water flowing 7 feet below. Where it flows, it is not even visible around.
Other temples have also been built by the local people in 20 years by renovating this temple. Among them are Rama Lakshmana and Sita, Radhakrishna, Laxminarayana, Shankar-Parvati, Surya Mandir, Mata Mandir and Bhairon Mandir. Along with this, photographs of martyrs of the year 1857 have also been kept. The devotees climb 300 stairs and reach the top.

ऐतिहासिक स्मारकों की नगरी शिवपुरी से करीब 40 किलोमीटर दूर मौजूद है नरवर का विशाल किला। ऊंची पहाड़ी पर बना यह किला बहुत बड़े क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है। नरवर किला कई दर्शनीय स्थलों से भरा है, जिनमें ताल कटोरा, महल, कचहरी महल शामिल हैं। किले में एक ही जगह पर कई कूएं और बावड़ियां हैं। साथ ही यहां कई मंदिर भी मौजूद हैं, जिनमें पसर देवी का प्रसिद्ध मंदिर भी शामिल है। यह किला 18-19वीं शताब्दी में मराठा-सिंधिया शासकों के शासन का हिस्सा भी था।

Madikheda Dam is situated in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, which is also known as Atal Sagar Dam. Madikheda Dam is built on the Sindh River, which is located at a distance of about 35 km from Shivpuri and about 120 km from Gwalior. This dam has 10 gates. The construction of this dam started in 1978 and was opened in 2008. Mohani Dam and Harsi Dam are located near this dam. Madikheda Dam has a power plant from which 60 MW of electricity is generated.
Atal Sagar Dam is also a tourist place. It is very crowded during the rainy season. The Tighra Dam of Gwalior is situated at a distance of about 126 km from this dam. Other tourist places near Atal Sagar Dam like Harsi Dam, Mohani Dam, Tapkeshwar Mahadev Mandir, Narwar Fort, Lodi Mata Mandir are famous.

नरवर दुर्ग (Narwar Fort) भारत के मध्य प्रदेश राज्य के शिवपुरी ज़िले के नरवर नगर में स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक दुर्ग है। यह विंध्य पर्वतमाला की एक पहाड़ी पर 500 फुट की ऊँचाई पर खड़ा है और 8 वर्ग किमी के क्षेत्रफल पर फैला है। कहा जाता है कि यहाँ एक पुराना सैन्य निर्माण था जिसका 10वीं शताब्दी में कछवाहा राजपूतों ने इस क्षेत्र पर अपना अधिकार होने के बाद पुनर्निर्माण करा |
पहले इस दुर्ग का निर्माण या पुनर्निर्माण दांगी कछवाहा राजपूतों ने करा। कछवाहों के बाद यहाँ परिहार और फ़िर तोमर राजपूतों का आधिपत्य रहा और अन्ततः यह 16वीं शताब्दी में मुगलों के अधीन आ गया, किंतु इस पर से राजपूत शासन चले जाने के कारण आस पास के राजपूत सरदारों और जमींदारों ने स्वयं को स्वतंत्र घोषित कर दिया। जो राजपूत सरदार पहले से ही स्वतंत्र शासन कर रहे थे, वे भी शक्तिशाली थे। उनमे एक बड़ी और शक्तिशाली जमींदारी रायपुर रही जिसपर पवैया चौहान राजपूतों का अधिकार था। उस समय नरवर से मालवा की और जाने का यहां से एक प्रमुख मार्ग था जो की चौहानों के अधिकार में होने के कारण मुघलों के लिये अच्छा नहीं था। मुघलों के अनेक प्रयासों के वाद भी वे कुछ ना कर सके और मुघल चौहानों तथा अन्य शक्तिशाली राजपूत सरदारों के कारण कमजोर हो रहे थे। नरवर राजपूतों का राज्य रहा इसलिये राजपूत सरदार पुनः उसपर राजपूत शासन चाहते थे। रायपुर के चौहान निरंतर अपनी सीमाओं का विकास कर रहे थे और शक्ति में वृद्धि कर रहे थे। और संभवतः चौहान जल्द ही नरवर पर अधिकार कर लेते किंतु कालान्तर में १९वीं शताब्दी के आरम्भ में यहां मराठा सरदार सिन्धिया ने अधिकार किया और चौहानों से रक्षित करने का प्रयास किया किंतु लोक कथाओं से पता चलता हे की चौहानों ने मराठों को भी कभी कर नहीं दिया और मराठे भी यहां राजपूतों के प्रभाव के कारण मुघलों को यहां से परास्त और उनका पूर्णतः शासन समाप्त करने के वाद भी राजपूतों के ठिकानों पर अधिकार नहीं कर पाये। आल्हा कााव्यं मे नरवर गढ़ को मोहरम गढ भी कहा गया हे।जहा के राजा मोतीमल बघेल का नाम का राजा का जिक्र हे। यहाँ पर दांगी राजपूत शासक नेपाल सिंह दांगी नेे राज्य किया 1150 से के बाद यह किला छोड़ दिया |
Narwar Fort is a historical fort located in Narwar town of Shivpuri district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It stands at a height of 500 ft on a hill in the Vindhya range and is spread over an area of 8 sq km. It is said that there was an old military construction here, which was rebuilt in the 10th century after the Kachwaha Rajputs took over the area.
Earlier this fort was built or rebuilt by Dangi Kachwaha Rajputs. After the Kachwahas, it was dominated by the Parihars and then by the Tomar Rajputs, and finally it came under the Mughals in the 16th century, but due to the withdrawal of Rajput rule from it, the surrounding Rajput chieftains and landlords declared themselves independent. The Rajput chieftains who were already ruling independently were also powerful. Raipur was a big and powerful zamindari among them, which was ruled by Pawaiya Chauhan Rajputs. At that time, there was a major route from Narwar to Malwa, which was not good for the Mughals due to being under the authority of the Chauhans. Despite many efforts of the Mughals, they could not do anything and the Mughals were getting weak due to the Chauhans and other powerful Rajput chieftains. Narwar remained the kingdom of Rajputs, so Rajput Sardar wanted Rajput rule over it again.
The Chauhans of Raipur were continuously expanding their boundaries and increasing their power. And possibly the Chauhans would soon take over Narwar, but later in the beginning of the 19th century, the Maratha Sardar Scindia took control here and tried to protect it from the Chauhans, but folk tales show that the Chauhans never taxed even the Marathas. And because of the influence of the Rajputs here, the Marathas also could not take control of the places of the Rajputs even after defeating the Mughals from here and ending their rule completely. Narwar Garh has also been called Moharam Garh in Alha Kavyam, where there is mention of a king named Motimal Baghel. Here Dangi Rajput ruler Nepal Singh Dangi ruled from 1150 onwards and left this fort.
