Village Life in Nicaragua’s Poorest Region: Northern Autonomous Zone
I wanted to explore a very remote village in the middle of nowhere in Nicaragua. My plan was to head to a small village that I saw on Google Maps called El Toro. The villages in the center of Nicaragua are far off the tourist trail so this was undiscovered territory.
What was life like? How much did they make? What interesting relics could I find?
I started out my journey in a city called Rio Blanco, which is right in the center of the country. Then took a chicken bus to the rural countryside where I brought my foot down into El Toro. I walked around a bit and met a family who showed me around....the hospitality of Nicaraguans.
Reserva natural Aguas Agrias
En hoteles y lugares turísticos de Nicaragua te presentamos La Reserva Natural de Aguas Agrias, ubicada en Nandaime Nicaragua en el kilómetro 60.5 Carretera granada- Nandaime, gira al este en la comarca monte verde y recorre 12 kilómetros es un destino turístico imprescindible para los amantes de la naturaleza y los viajeros que buscan explorar la belleza natural de Centroamérica. La reserva cuenta con una gran variedad de flora y fauna, incluyendo especies en peligro de extinción como el mono aullador.
Los visitantes pueden disfrutar de un refrescante baño en las piscinas naturales de aguas cristalinas que dan nombre a la reserva, y también pueden explorar los senderos naturales que conducen a cascadas y miradores panorámicos.
Es importante tener en cuenta que la carretera hacia la reserva es de tierra y puede ser difícil de transitar en épocas de lluvia. CARRETERA MASAYA, AUTOPISTA que atraviesa MANAGUA
Hoy vamos a recorrer parte de la carretera que va hacia Masaya, iniciamos aquí por el sector del semáforo del antiguo hospital militar, buscando el este, nos encontramos El paso a desnivel de Tiscapa fue el primer paso a desnivel construido en Managua bajo la administración del alcalde Samuel Santos en 1980, para esa época, poco trafico circulaba en Managua.
En esta pista pasamos por el estadio nuevo, contiguo están unas oficinas del centro de atención de la alcaldía para los respectivos pagos de impuesto y el sticker de rodamientos, del semáforo hacia al este, llegamos a la catedral de Managua y detrás la DGI.
Llegamos a la rotonda Rubén Darío, próximamente se construirá paso desnivel y será parte de la ampliación a ocho carriles, con un carril en cada dirección también reservado para el transporte público, para reducir la congestión. Por esta carretera circulan grandes cantidades de vehículos a diario, por ser la principal arteria de la ciudad, nos conecta a los principales puntos económico, industrias, bancos, mercados, residenciales y barrios de la capital.
Desde el centro comercial metro centro, pasamos, por hoteles, bancos, venta de comida rápida, supermercados. Embajadas etc. En esta intercepción al este, es la pista cardenal miguel Obando, nos lleva al residencial los robles, Altamira y parte del distrito uno y distrito 5 como también el mercado Carlos Roberto humbes.
Estamos llegando a La Rotonda Roberto Terán conocida como La Rotonda Centroamérica, al oeste vamos buscando carretera panamericana sur, y al este la panamericano norte, pasamos por el centro comercial camino de orientes aquí hay mucha historia que se las vamos a contar en otro video, algo rápido aquí estaba el lobo Jack y los cinemas.
Aquí en el kilómetro 7 ubicamos a Galerías Santo Domingo informalmente llamado como Galerías, es considerado como el centro comercial más exclusivo y más grande de la capital, Está localizado en el kilómetro 7 Carretera a Masaya cerca de la rotonda Jean Paul Genie.
Ya en esta parte se nota que hay una gran cantidad de espacio para publicidad, Hace algún tiempo cuando se viajaba de Masaya a Managua, el ingreso a la ciudad capital era agradable por el paisaje que incluía ver el Horizonte del Lago solo xolotlan.
Los residenciales en Carretera a Masaya ofrecen amplios modelos de viviendas en zonas seguras y de gran plus valía para invertir en compra de viviendas, la Carretera Masaya agrupa más de 43 proyectos residenciales, condominios y villas de lujo en la zona de mayor crecimiento comercial e inmobiliario de Managua.
En cada via de esta carretera, era de dos carriles, pero el alto porcentaje de urbanizaciones privadas, creció el tráfico y se tuvo que ampliar la pista de dos a tres carriles en cada dirección a lo largo de 12 kilómetros, para descongestionar el tráfico de vehículos.
Aquí por la primer entrada del residencial las colinas podemos llegar al reparto shick, algunos barrios del distrito 5 y 7, y más adelante en el kilómetro 11.5 está La vía que une a la carretera a Masaya con Managua , que va desde el Country Club hasta Sabana Grande, hasta llegar a tipitapa y panamericana norte.
Esta vía une a Managua con las ciudades de Masaya, Granada, Rivas y sus municipios, tres de los principales destinos del Pacífico de Nicaragua y que albergan, entre otros, el Gran Lago o Lago Cocibolca con sus isletas, la isla de Ometepe, el balneario de San Juan del Sur y otras playas.

Volcán Momotombo, La Paz Centro, León
Tras la ribera del lago Xolotlán se encuentra el Puerto Momotombo y a unos cuantos metros de ahí se encuentra una de los volcanes más joven del país, el Volcán Momotombo, situado en el departamento de León.
Hoy en día este volcán es uno de los principales destinos turísticos para los que buscan aventura extrema, el reto es subir la cumbre desnuda del volcán, y como recompensa tendrán una vista panorámica. Desde la cumbre se puede observar el Océano Pacífico, el complejo volcánico de Masaya, el Lago Cocibolca, la Isla de Ometepe y sus dos volcanes.

Our recent destination was one of Central America’s newest and most exclusive resorts, Nekupe. Its name means “heaven” in an indigenous language, which sets expectations rather high, as does the stratospheric price.
On its 1,580 acres, Nekupe has created an extraordinarily luxurious summer camp with unusually attentive service. Each accommodation comes with a private ATV and a “ranger,” who functions as a butler, guide and driver.
Inside our villa, we discovered a stylishly appointed retreat with sublime views of Mombacho Volcano. We never tired of watching its changing face from the two daybed-like chairs on our broad terrace.
For the active traveler who also appreciates luxury, Central America has few better resorts than Nekupe. Harper rating: 97.

Los invito a dar un paseo por Nicaragua, hoy, los llevaré hasta las comarcas Las Cortezas en Masaya en tan sólo diez minutos.
Las Cortezas es una Comarca del departamento y municipio de Masaya, ubicada a unos 42 kilómetros de Managua la capital de Nicaragua, a unos 45 minutos de viaje en vehículo propio, pero en bus, a unos 90 minutos, mientras viajamos podemos disfrutar del paisaje.
Actualmente, el costo del viaje es de C$20. Córdobas, C$40. Córdobas ida y regreso; pero, C$45. Córdobas desde Managua y C$95. Córdobas ida y regreso desde Managua.
Los habitantes de estás comarcas son bien trabajadores y productivos, pero necesitan el apoyo de las autoridades de Nicaragua.
La comarca Las Cortezas está un poco abandonada por las autoridades municipales, departamentales y gobierno central.
No hay Centro de Salud, delegación de Policía Nacional ni del Ejército de Nicaragua.
No hay Instituto de Educación Secundaria, hospital, parque de diversión para niños y niñas.
Los pobladores necesitan un mejor servicio de agua potable, porque el que hay sólo echan el agua por las noches como que los usuarios fuesen vampiros.
Los estudiantes necesitan un instituto de educación secundaria, biblioteca.
Todos necesitan un mejor servicio de comunicación telefónica, internet, porque aquí no hay antenas. La gente necesita comunicarse.
Necesitan una mejor estructura vial, mejores condiciones, una carretera digna. Los estudiantes exponen sus vidas, porque en invierno el camino es el cauce de una corriente fuerte que se inunda.
Hago un llamado a las Autoridades de Nicaragua: municipales, departamentales y gobierno central para que tomen en cuenta a los habitantes de Las Cortezas y les ayuden.

El sabor, las tradiciones y la cultura del departamento de Granada visitó la Ciudad de Dos Pisos, Boaco, durante dos días, animando a los pobladores de ese municipio, donde se ofertó lo mejor de la artesanía, la gastronomía, los bailes y los mitos y leyenda de los municipios de Diriá, Diriomo, Nandaime y Granada, a través del programa Por amor a Nicaragua, orgullo de mi Municipio.
Los boaqueños disfrutaron del delicioso y tradicional vigorón, así como el “consumido”, un platillo típico propio de Nandaime, elaborado a base de maíz y cabeza de chancho, de exquisito sabor, que se ofertó a los pobladores, quienes lo consumieron hasta dejar vacío el recipiente en que lo llevaron.
