The Atlantic Road | Road Trips in Norway
The Atlantic Road is one of the most famous scenic drives in Norway. Stretching along the western coast between Kristiansund and Molde, the rough open seas and rocky coastline provides an incredible drive - especially in bad weather! That's exactly what we got, and we loved it.
While the 'famous' bit - the bridges and islands - is only 8km, the entire coastline is worth visiting. Here's my drive from Kristiansund - Bud (close to Molde), via the Atlantic Road.

WALKING TOUR | NAMSOS | NORWAY 2020
This is a continuation of my roadtrip series from August. We had a short walk in Namsos and then head towards North.
Namsos is a town and the administrative center of Namsos municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located on the north side of the mouth of the river Namsen, where it flows into Namsenfjorden. The village of Spillum lies across the river on the south side. Wikipedia

Namsosmartnan 2021/ ´Normal´ celebration after 2 years
Let me show you a bit of our city, Namsos, where we recently had our martna, the equivalent to town fiesta. Well, sort of. I am so happy to show you this year´s martna in Namsos, or what we call Namsosmartnan, because it seems like we are back to “normal”. I say this because for two years there were not too many people in the street buying or eating in restaurants, and no pubbing, of course, but this year, you can see that the streets can be crowded, and people were having fun from morning to evening. Namsos has not 100% fully vaccinated its people yet, as of this writing, but we are getting there. :-)
Oh, martna literally means market or marketplace, because the old tradition is to trade goods from town to town, but when cities use it to celebrate three days of activities for their residents (for ex. Steinkjermartnan, Rorøsmartnan, Martnan i Trondheim), then it is likened to marking its city day or town fest/fiesta. Namsosmartnan 2021 was held from Aug. 19-21, but the video here was only taken on the last day, a Saturday, when, luckily, the weather cooperated. Two days before that were only rain and cloudy.

(EV1/leg 2) The second stage of my cycling tour through Northern Norway goes from Bodo to Trondheim. I follow the low-traffic coastal road (RV17), which takes me 800 km through wild fjord landscapes and over lonely peninsulas. I often have to use ferry boats during this trip. After nine days I stand before Nidaros Cathedral West Front in Trondheim.

Sailing Argo Ep 11 - Sailing to Rock City
Still southbound, this time we are arriving Namsos, which is the most southern point for us this summer. Namsos is a beautiful and unique city in the middle of Norway, with the nickname Rock City. They also have speeders for rent for you to bike on the old railway.
Sailing in Northern Norway is the number one activity for us, Marena and Roger Leivseth. We love our Argo, which is a German built Bavaria 31 Cruiser, 2008. Sailing is giving us rest, peace and energy. In these beautiful surroundings it is always a pleasure to take our beloved sailboat out for a cruise. We live up north in Norway, in Fauske, just north of the Arctic circle close to the Lofoten Islands. We experience the midnight sun during summers and polar nights during the winters. Our sailing season usually starts in the end of March due to the polar nights and temperatures way below freezing during winter. We normally end the sailing season in October for the same reasons.
We are very fortunate to live in these surroundings with the love for sailing. The nearby areas are lovely places to visit, both fjords, archipelagos and islands in open sea.

KRISTIANSUND : é um município na Noruega no distrito de Nordmøre do condado de Møre og Romsdal.
O município tem população de 24.013 habitantes. Historicamente, foi escrito Christianssund. O nome vem do rei danorueguês cristão VI, que fundou a cidade em 1742.
Antes de 1877, o nome era escrito Christianssund, de 1877 a 1888 era escrito Kristianssund, e desde 1889 tem sua ortografia atual, Kristiansund.
GEOGRAFIA
Kristiansund é construído em quatro ilhas principais, com muitas ilhas menores. A ilha de NORDLANDET, é a segunda maior ilha e o local do aeroporto local, o AEROPORTO DE KRISTIANSUND. A menor ilha é INNLANDET.
HISTÓRIA - 8000 AC

Clima
Kristiansund tem um clima oceânico temperado com verões frios a quentes e invernos amenos. ar do Atlântico e a Corrente do Golfo dá a Kristiansund um clima mais quente do que sua latitude indicaria.
NAMSOS
É um município no condado de Trøndelag, Noruega. região de Namdalen. O município com uma população de 15.000.

Cristiano III da Dinamarca, trabalhou na conversão de noruegueses e dinamarqueses à fé evangélica e ajudou a popularizar a versão da bíblia em dinamarquês
O rei Cristiano III da Dinamarca conheceu Martinho Lutero na Dieta de Worms em 1521 e como resultado dessa reunião ele se converteu à religião evangélica.
A Reforma na Noruega teve início em 1537, quando o então rei Cristiano III da Dinamarca e Noruega declarou o luteranismo como a religião oficial da Noruega e Dinamarca
