Muszyna to uzdrowisko w województwie małopolskim położone w dolinie rzeki Poprad. Historia miasteczka związana jest między innymi z biegnącym dawnym „węgierskim” szlakiem handlowym. Muszyna otrzymała od Kazimierza Wielkiego prawa miejskie w 1356 roku a do czasu rozbiorów obszar ten był samodzielną jednostką administracyjną Państwo Muszyńskie. W latach 20. XX w. Muszyna zyskała miano uzdrowiska a w roku 1932 wykonano dwa odwierty pierwszych źródeł mineralnych. II wojna światowa skutkowała niemalże całkowitym zniszczeniem miasta co sprawiło, że uzdrowisko zaczeło fukncjonować dopiero w 1958 roku. Uzdrowiskowe wody mineralne, zawierają niezbędne minerały, takie jak: magnez, wapń, sód, potas, żelazo, selen czy lit. Muszyna spełnia warunki prowadzenia leczenia uzdrowiskowego chorób układu oddechowego i przewodu pokarmowego. Na terenie miasta znajdują się pijalnie wód mineralnych o doskonałych właściwościach leczniczych m.in Pijalnia Antoni, Milusia czy Cechini oraz kilka ciekawych zabbytków m.in: ruiny zamku starostów Państwa Muszyńskiego, podzamkowy zespół dworski, dwór starostów, zajazd z XIX w. Państwa Muszyńskiego, barokowy kościół obronny, zabytkowy zespół domów mieszczańskich.
Muszyna is a health resort in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship located in the valley of the Poprad River. The history of the town is connected, among other things, with the former Hungarian trade route. Muszyna received city rights from Casimir the Great in 1356, and until the partitions, this area was an independent administrative unit Muszyna State. In the 1920s Muszyna became a health resort, and in 1932 two boreholes were drilled for the first mineral springs. World War II resulted in the almost complete destruction of the city, which meant that the spa started to function in 1958. Spa mineral waters contain essential minerals such as: magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, iron, selenium and lithium. Muszyna meets the conditions for spa treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases. In the city there are pump rooms of mineral waters with excellent healing properties, such as Pijalnia Antoni, Milusia or Cechini, and several interesting buildings, including: the ruins of the castle of the Starosts of the Muszyna State, the courtyard complex, the starosts' manor, the 19th-century inn of the Muszyna State, a baroque defensive church, a historic group of burgher houses.

Zamek na górze Baszta strzegł granic między Polską a Węgrami; jego załoga czuwała nad bezpieczeństwem szlaku handlowego biegnącego wzdłuż Popradu na Węgry. Przez długi czas stanowił rezydencję starostów tzw. Państwa Muszyńskiego (zwanego także kluczem muszyńskim lub kresem muszyńskim), samodzielnej jednostki administracyjnej z własną administracją, wojskiem i sądownictwem, pozostającej we władaniu biskupów krakowskich do rozbiorów Polski. W XVII wieku, za panowania Jana Kazimierza, zamek w dalszym ciągu pełnił funkcje obronne; został opuszczony w drugiej połowie XVIII wieku i popadł w ruinę.

How I show REAL POLAND to my family
In this video I show you how I showed more of Poland. The real Poland and Polish experiences to my Dutch family. In January many of them visited me in Poland. Besides spending time in beautiful Kraków, I also all took them to different other places in our wonderful country.
Tarnów: here I took my father and bonus mother. We took the train and walked around this stunning old city that is as beautiful as Kraków but without tourists. You can see in the video how much they enjoyed this!
Muszyna: I knew I had to take my mother on one of the most beautiful train rides in Poland. Extra special was that she was with her best friend. They've been friends for 40 years. So showing them this beautiful Polish town in the south was truly amazing. Such rich moments. Everything this day was perfect. We will never forget it...
Zakopane / Tatra mountains: my sister has been dreaming about going to the Polish mountains since I had shown her on photos and videos. Oprócz spędzenia czasu w pięknym Krakowie, zabrałem ich także do różnych innych miejsc w naszym wspaniałym kraju.
Tarnów: tutaj zabrałam mojego ojca i mamę. Pojechaliśmy pociągiem i spacerowaliśmy po tym wspaniałym starym mieście, które jest równie piękne jak Kraków, ale bez turystów. Na filmie widać, jak bardzo im się podobało!
Muszyna: Wiedziałam, że muszę zabrać moją mamę na jedną z najpiękniejszych przejażdżek pociągiem w Polsce. Wyjątkowe było to, że była ze swoją najlepszą przyjaciółką. Są przyjaciółkami od 40 lat. Więc pokazanie im tego pięknego polskiego miasta na południu było naprawdę niesamowite. Tak bogate chwile. Wszystko tego dnia było idealne. Nigdy go nie zapomnimy...
Zakopane / Tatry: moja siostra marzyła o wyjeździe w polskie góry, odkąd pokazałam jej je na zdjęciach i filmach. Zabraliśmy również naszą kuzynkę Fleur i dla niej był to pierwszy raz w życiu, kiedy zobaczyła góry! Poświęciliśmy trochę czasu, aby to wszystko wchłonąć i odpocząć. Oboje byli pod ogromnym wrażeniem i za nic nie chcieliby tego przegapić.
Częstochowa: moja najlepsza przyjaciółka z Holandii była moim ostatnim gościem i zainspirowało mnie to do zabrania jej tutaj. Doświadczyła czegoś naprawdę wyjątkowego i duchowego w tym świętym miejscu w Polsce. Z klasztorem i Czarną Madonną... i prawdziwie bogatą polską mszą. Nie mogłyśmy przestać o tym rozmawiać i o tym, co czułyśmy...
