Morehead City is a seaside town in North Carolina. The long land is made up of bays on both sides, with a sandy beach on one side and a muddy bottom on the other. Sea fishing and crab fishing are available, and you can enjoy kayaking, canoeing and standing paddle boarding. Every morning there are boats leaving for sea fishing, and there are ferries to tourist spots. About 10 miles to the North Carolina Aquarium, Fort Macon State Park and Atlantic Beach. The warmer temperatures of Morehead City make it a destination for retirees from the Northeast to enjoy life in their old age. RV parks and campgrounds are nearby. It's about an hour drive from Jacksonville North Carolina.
