Are you just moving to the United States or relocating within the country? There are many reasons for such relocation. What if your reason for relocation has something to do with the economy? In that case, you should be interested in affordability. We’ve taken our time to research for you the most affordable places in each US state. We rely heavily but not exclusively on data from the Census Bureau regarding each state and the amount of their household income that is being spent on housing. This is the first of the two-part video that unravels the most affordable places in each US state. We have listed the states in alphabetical order to allow you follow them easily and orderly.

Alabama: Moores Mill
The most affordable place in Alabama is Moores Mill, which is part of Madison County and Huntsville. It is home to several aerospace companies and 86.9 percent of homes in this town are occupied by owners. The home median value is 175,200 dollars. About 90.60 percent of homes here are affordable.

Alaska: Sterling
The next state is Alaska. The most affordable place here is the small town of Sterling which is located near Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Sterling is a perfect town for those who love the outdoors. It’s filled with plenty of campsites, rivers, and trails as well as fishing and wildlife. About 79.73 percent of homes in Sterling are affordable.
Arizona: Tuba City
Arizona is the next state. We found Tuba City as the most affordable there. The city of around 8,600 people occupying an area of 8.9 square miles, all land, is part of a large Navajo Reservation. About 87.57 percent of homes in Tuba City are affordable.

Arkansas: White Hall
In Arkansas, the most affordable place is White Hall. White Hall is a small town with a little over 5,000 residents. The cost of living in White Hall is about 25.8 percent lower than the national average. With decent home prices, some 83.17 percent of its homes are affordable.

California: Hilmar-Irwin
Hilmar-Irwin is a census-designated place (CDP) with over 5,700 residents in central California. This most affordable place in the state is located in Merced County. Some 64.6 percent of homes in this town are occupied by owners the median value is 284,300 dollars. About 78.75 percent of homes there are affordable.
Colorado: Battlement Mesa
Now to Colorado where we find Battlement Mesa as the most affordable. Battlement Mesa is a small town located along the Colorado River. Great for folks who enjoy outdoor activities, you can walk along some of the trails or join its Golf Club to play the 18-hole. About 84.56 percent of homes here are affordable.

Connecticut: Kensington
Kensington, a town in Connecticut, is located in the southern part of Hartford County with 8,000 residents. The cost of living in this small town is low and it’s a good place for raising families. It’s been ranked as the 25th-best suburb in the county. About 75.14 percent of homes here are affordable.
Delaware: Pike Creek
In Delaware, Pike Creek in New Castle County is the cheapest place to live. It is close to several family-friendly attractions such as local farmer’s markets and the Hagley Museum. Not far from Carousel Farm Park and Equestrian Center, anyone can learn how to ride. Here, 79.96 percent of homes are affordable.
