A Modern Mother discovers the French Ardennes

Come with A Modern Mother as she discovers what to do in the French Ardennes with families.

She visits Charleville-Meziers, the puppet capital of the world, and goes canoeing, cycling on the Trans-Ardennes cycle path, and zip lining on the Fantasticable at Terraltitude. Then she discovers Sedan, and the largest castle fortress in Europe, and stays the night in a castle. She also visits artisan brewery Ardwen.

Disclosure: I was on a press trip with the Ardennes Tourist Board. All opinions are my own.

Montmorillon, Vienne, France an introduction.

Welcome to Montmorillon in the Vienne department of France. My new home town and base for exploring regional France and all the fabulous things it has to offer. In this video I will show you an introduction to this fabulous place. You will find out about two of its most famous residents as well as information about the region itself. Come explore Montmorillon in this first of many videos of the town.

It's been months since I put out a video. So much has changed in the world due to the Covid19 Pandemic. But some parts of life are always changing so now I'm back and have changed Travelling Fabulously. We will now be exploring Regional France together with an emphasis on my new home town of Montmorillon in the Vienne region of France.

Is there any better way to travel then fabulously, I don't think so, that's why fabulous is my motto. My name is Andrew Prior and in 2013 I was a contestant on MasterChef Australia.

After leaving the show I set up Queenie's Food Tours in Melbourne which became the premier walking food tour company for four years. Then I moved to France in 2016 to do Paris tours and a Le Cordon Bleu cooking course.

Combined with some interesting facts, fun, crazy eye movements and a big belly we will explore, taste and discover things through my eye's, crazy yes but fun surely. Regional France has never been explored so fabulously then with me on Travelling Fabulously of course.

Places to see in ( Beziers - France ) Villeneuve les Beziers

Places to see in ( Beziers - France ) Villeneuve les Beziers

Whether you are in a boat, on a bicycle or in your car, Villeneuve les Beziers is an essential step on the course of the Canal du Midi. Stop by and discover the homeland of the Occitan poet Jean Lauris.

Villeneuve les Beziers was originally a Roman settlement, but its true identity begins at the time of Charlemagne. Destroyed by fire in the Middle Ages, it was known as the Crémade Villeneuve until 1631, when it took its current name. A chateau was once home to the family members of the local feudal lord. It was destroyed in 1925 and now lays in ruins, although one of its towers has recently been renovated.

You will also find a Romanesque church from the eleventh century, whose apse and bell tower house two bells named Bernadette and Roseline which are listed historical monuments. The Canal du Midi (World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO) and the eighteenth century canal lock are part of the heritage of the town.

( Beziers - France ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Beziers . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Beziers - France

Vienne, France

First, a look at the Lyon Gare Perrache, a fine train station, and much nicer than Part-Dieu. Then it's on to the old Roman town of Vienne to the south, where we explore the various Roman ruins, a cloister, and of course the fantastic amphitheatre.

France 2019 part 6

After parting ways with Sally ( temporary ) in Tours, we drive down through Chatellerault to our friend's ( Michael & Barbara ) house in Tournon-Saint- Martin for 5 amazing days with them. Toured around many of the nearby villages.

Ruffec (Charente) To Beynac (Dordogne) - September 2022

We've had a few days off from filming and editing (and we are also having WiFi problems). In this episode of Escapades in France, we move on with our caravan (The Beast) from our campsite near Ruffec to another one we have been on several times in Beynac, Dordogne. We get an excellent pitch with stunning views of Beynac castle and eventually get our awning and gazebo up. Dave pigs out on baked goods and Jean struggles with pan and zoom as well as trying to do voiceovers on a campsite.

Bikepacking France North to South Day 9:Bourgogne, Malay to Villefranche -sur-Saône

Hi and welcome to this new series where I'll attempt to ride from the North east of France to the Spanish border in the south. In this ninth episode I'll be riding from Malay to Villefranche-sur-Saône, a little bit north of Lyon.
So today a visit Cluny, ride through a tunnel, have a great lunch and talk way too much. Sorry about that...
In this episode some more stunning Bourgogne landscapes , so hope you enjoy !
The general plan is to go to the Champagne region and then head south towards the Bourgogne and onwards. I'm using my gravel bike, the Rondo Ruut ST for this trip as it has many luggage options and nice fat tyres. This one is really a trip down memory lane for me, trying to connect many places i've been before in the past. Hope you like it and as always, enjoy your rides and stay safe out there !
Next Up: well that remains to be seen :-)
* If you like the music, unless listed below, it is on epidemic sounds:

* Additional music: Vesoul by Jacques Brel
* Details on the route can be found here:
