Fun at Home, Inside and Out

Set in the tightly held north-eastern suburb of Modbury - one of Adelaide’s best-kept secrets, this three bedroom home offers huge rear entertaining opportunities and great indoor-outdoor living.

The home features two living areas - a formal front lounge for quiet family nights around the Home Theatre or the great rear rumpus room with space for a pool or games table. This opens out on to a raised patio area overlooking the gardens.

Adding to the flexibility, the family room runs off separate meals and a dining area, which are in turn serviced by a kitchen with range-hood and sizeable pantry. The central kitchen also features a sink, gas oven and breakfast bar. The second meals area could easily function as a study or playroom.

In this price range, the home couldn’t be better equipped for both family barbecues and larger get-togethers. There’s room to entertain outdoors and the space to take the party inside on colder days and nights.

The three bedrooms are removed from the living areas, sharing a bathroom with shower and separate bath and vanity. The main bedroom has a built-in-robes. Ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning and cozy gas heating take care of your comfort. Pull down shutters protect the windows from the suns heat and glaze.

The home features parking for two-three cars, a free-standing carport and superb and secure brick Garage/workshop where you can tinker all year round. There is also a handy tool or garden shed. It is located close to natural reserves, parks, shops and public transport connecting to the 0-Bahn system.

An easy-care front garden and plenty of room for the kids to play caps off an outstanding home-buying opportunity for the discerning purchaser on a budget.

Adelaide, Australia - Driving Tour 4K

Adelaide (/ˈædɪleɪd/ (listen) AD-il-ayd; Kaurna: Tarntanya) is the capital city of South Australia, the state's largest city and the fifth-most populous city in Australia. Adelaide may refer to either Greater Adelaide (including the Adelaide Hills) or the Adelaide city centre. The demonym Adelaidean is used to denote the city and the residents of Adelaide. The Traditional Owners of the Adelaide region are the Kaurna people. The area of the city centre and surrounding Park Lands is called Tarndanya in the Kaurna language.

Adelaide is situated on the Adelaide Plains north of the Fleurieu Peninsula, between the Gulf St Vincent in the west and the Mount Lofty Ranges in the east. Its metropolitan area extends 20 km (12 mi) from the coast to the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges, and stretches 96 km (60 mi) from Gawler in the north to Sellicks Beach in the south.

Named in honour of Queen Adelaide, the city was founded in 1836 as the planned capital for the only freely-settled British province in Australia.[16] Colonel William Light, one of Adelaide's founding fathers, designed the city centre and chose its location close to the River Torrens. Light's design, now listed as national heritage, set out the city centre in a grid layout known as Light's Vision, interspaced by wide boulevards and large public squares, and entirely surrounded by park lands.

Early colonial Adelaide was shaped by the diversity and wealth of its free settlers, in contrast to the convict history of other Australian cities. It was Australia's third most populated city until the post-war era. It has been noted for its leading examples of religious freedom and progressive political reforms, and became known as the City of Churches due to its diversity of faiths. Today, Adelaide is known by its many festivals and sporting events, its food and wine, its coastline and hills, and its large defence and manufacturing sectors. Adelaide's quality of life has ranked consistently highly in various measures through the 21st century, at one stage being named Australia's most liveable city.

As South Australia's government and commercial centre, Adelaide is the site of many governmental and financial institutions. Most of these are concentrated in the city centre along the cultural boulevards of North Terrace and King William Street.

Obahn trip to modbury from Adelaide city.

A daytime view of the Adelaide Obahn going to Modbury in the eastern suburbs, the trip takes some 10 mins. and is the fastest way to get out that way. The Obahn has been in Adelaide for years and could be slightly improved by being made electric but seeing Adelaide has not got alot of means to power generators and already has to buy electricity for neighbouring state Victoria during peak usage times, it seems out of reach just yet. Wind farms are popping up and I have heard of a plant that will use heat generated below the earth by (volcanic activity?) to power tubines with steam, it sounds dangerous but I have heard it is safe. Floating bouys with built in generators would be a waste of time but solar generators are going on the roofs of a few homes, making solar cells isn't that clean from information I got off the net. Hydrogen is another option for transport and one better in my opinion is a hydrogen electric hybrid. The Obahn is good and there have been minimal problems with cars trying to go onto the tracks so I don't see it going anywhere, as a matter of fact I recall there being talk of another Obahn being built to go out to the northern suburbs a few years back but there is a deisel train service that go's there. I have also heard that the Adelaide train service will be changed over to electric at some stage, a friend who works with the trains said that it costs 1.2 million dollars per week to fuel the train service here. The buses have a mechanism that stops the bus from getting off the Obahn track, there is a pedestrian/bicycle path along side.
