Siliguri is a city in the northeast Indian state of West Bengal. It sits in the foothills of the Himalayas, surrounded by tea gardens. It’s home to the North Bengal Science Centre, with its digital planetarium and model T. rex.
To the east is leafy Surya Sen Park, named after an independence activist, and the huge, white-domed ISKCON Temple. Farther north, the Salugara Monastery is a colorful Buddhist shrine.

Mirik is a small town of Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. The way to Mirik is very beautiful. This is probably the most scenic road in the whole of North Bengal. Beautiful tea garden on the slope of the hill and spiral smooth road beside it .
Mirik has become a tourist destination for its climate, natural beauty and easy accessibility. The centre of all attraction is Sumendu Lake, surrounded by a garden named Savitri Pushpaudyan (after Savitri Thapa, a martyr soldier of INA) on one side and pine trees on the other, linked together by an arching footbridge called Indreni Pool (named after Indreni Thapa, a martyr soldier of INA).

Known as Queen of Himalayas, Darjeeling is among the best hill stations in India. It is spread in Himalayan foothills, surrounded by green tea garden, monasteries, the wonderful Toy Train and towered over by the majestic Khangchendzonga, However, for a fun getaway to this magical town, we brought to you the best places to visit in the town that you might not want to miss on your trip.
1. Batasia Loop: The Batasia Loop is a 100-year-old circular train track encircled by a spectacular mountain vista. This is the most picturesque stretch of the toy train route. Located on Hill Cart, the Batasia Loop lies about 5 kilometres outside of Darjeeling and is definitely worth the walk or drive. The loop is renowned for its distinctive design which allows the train to circumscribe itself, exposing riders to a 360-degree view of the rippling hills and sky-high peaks, including the stupendous peak of Kanchenjunga.
2. Tiger Hill: One of the best tourist places in Darjeeling, Tiger Hills is best place to see sunrise view of Kangchenjunga peak. On a clear day one can see even mount Everest from here. It is located 11 Kms from the Darjeeling town. One has to leave very early in the morning from the town to the see the beautiful sunrise. The place is generally crowded.
3. Darjeeling Toy Train: Among the other top tourist places in Darjeeling is the toy train that starts from Siliguri and terminates at Darjeeling. A UNESCO World heritage site, this Darjeeling Railway has been used for filming several documentaries and movies like Barfi. It also offers Joy Rides. Darjeeling Joy Ride is a 2-hours ride in the famous Darjeeling Toy Train. It is a round trip journey from Darjeeling to Ghum covering a distance of 14 km.
4. Peace Pagoda: Peace Pagoda reflects four avatars of Lord Buddha and is located adjacent to Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple. It attracts people from all religion and offers spiritual serenity and love to all.
5. Darjeeling Zoo: Also known as Padmaja Naidu Zoological, Darjeeling Zoo is home to the largest population of snow leopards in India and is one of the best places to visit in Darjeeling. You can also see some rare animals like Red Pandas, Tibetan Wolf and lot more.
6. Tea Garden: Your trip to Darjeeling will be incomplete without visiting one of the tea estates that are the pride of this hill station! Happy Valley tea estate is one of the oldest in the town and adds to its beauty! With an entry fee of rupee 100 Make a visit to the garden, understand the process of tea making and buy some tea.
7. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: Located inside the Darjeeling Zoo, HNI is named in honor of Tenzing Norgay, the first Indian to climb on Mount Everest. Ambitious mountaineers and amateurs come to this place to take training and get themselves fit for the mountains as it is recognized as one of the best mountaineering institutes in India.
8. Ghoom Monastery: Also known as Yiga Choeling Monastery, this popular destination among the tourist places in Darjeeling is located downslope of Ghoom Railway station. This monastery is one of the oldest in the region and reflects the ancient glory of Buddhist culture.
9. Mahakal Temple: The main Mahakal temple is devoted to Shiva and it witness devotees from all sections of society and religions most visiting the temple for both leisure or pilgrimage. Bells and hundreds of colorful prayer flags line the up-hill walk and the shrine. Mahakal Temple is located behind the Chowrasta and encircled by the Mall Road on the ridge of Darjeeling town. The approach is an uphill narrow road about 100 yards from the Mall and is accessible by foot only.
10. Mall Road: Darjeeling’s Mall Road is located at the heart of Darjeeling and is 1 kilometer away from the Darjeeling Himalaya Railway Station and is one of the best places to visit in Darjeeling for shopping and otherwise.

???? A total of 7 of my school colleagues visited Mirik on December 10th. Our trip was for one day. We left Siliguri early in the morning via Dudhia-Mirik road. The way to Mirik is very beautiful. This is probably the most scenic road in the whole of North Bengal. Beautiful tea garden on the slope of the hill and spiral smooth road beside it . Uuff what a view that was! The sky was clear and blue. It took us about 2 hours to reach Mirik. Arriving there, we done our lunch and went for a walk. First we went to Mirik Lake. We were fascinated by the beauty of this beautiful lake. We spent three hours in Mirik Lake and then went out to visit Swiss Cottage. Honestly, after coming here, it didn't feel like we were in India. You must come to this place when you visit Mirik. We all captured a lot of pictures and videos there. After that we got in the car to return home in the evening. Such a beautiful day trip it was will be remembered for a lifetime.

TOUR ITINERARY:
DAY 1: NJP/BAGDOGRA TO GANGTOK
Our representative will Meet and Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra and transfer to Gangtok (5,480 ft.) 124 km (77 mi). The drive will take you through a bank of river Tista with a beautiful view of mountains and river. On arrival Check-in to hotel and rest. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
DAY 2: TSOMGO LAKE & BABA MANDIR (Optional Nathula Pass)
After Breakfast will have a Full day Excursion OF Tsomgo Lake. The water in this lake has been accumulated from the melting snow on the mountains located nearby. Post covering Tsomgo Laje we will proceed to Baba Mandir, which is a distinguished sightseeing place of Sikkim. This “mandir” or shrine is dedicated to “Baba” Harbhajan Singh, who was a soldier of the Indian Army.
Optional: Nathula Pass on direct payment basis (3500-5000) depending on the permit.
DAY 3: GANGTOK SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast will have a sightseeing of Gangtok which includes Tashi viewpoint, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, Bakhtang Waterfall, Enchey Monastery, Flower exhibition centre, handicraft centre(closed on Sunday), Chorten Stupa, Institute of Tibetology, Ropeway Overnight at Gangtok.
DAY 4: GANGTOK TO DARJEELING
After having breakfast move towards Darjeeling which is a beautiful hill town set in West Bengal which is known for its tea plantations. The place makes one experience the most breath-taking views of the Himalayas. on the way visit to Triveni viewpoint. After reaching Darjeeling, check-in to the hotel and after fresh up can have a Toy Train ride (BY OWN) free to roam Darjeeling market in the evening.
DAY 5: TIGER HILL & DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING
Early Morning at 3:45 am will move towards tiger hill. It is famous for its panoramic view of Mount Everest and MT Kanchenjunga together and early morning sunrise. On the way back to hotel visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast will have sightseeing which includes, Japanese temple, Peace pagoda, Ava art gallery, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (Closed on Sunday).
DAY 6: KURSEONG VISIT & DROP TO BAGDOGRA
After having breakfast will move towards Airport/NJP via Kurseong.

Darjeeling is the best tourist place in West bengal and one of the best in India. There is no other beautiful hill station in West Bengal than Darjeeling. Darjeeling is called the Queen of Hills. It is a town located in the state of west bengal. Once it was built by the British and soon it became famous for tea cultivation. Darjeeling tea is the best in the world. Darjeeling is located at an average elevation of 2042m. Distance between Siliguri and Darjeeling is nearly 61km. One can go there by car, share jeep or bus. It will take 2:30 hours to reach Darjeeling from NJP or siliguri.

নমস্কার বন্ধুরা, অচেনা ভারতের আরেক নতুন পর্বে তোমাদের সবাইকে স্বাগত।
আজ আমি এসেছি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের আরও একটি অপূর্ব সুন্দর শৈল শহর মিরিকের ট্যুর প্ল্যান নিয়ে। অত্যন্ত কম বাজেটে দুদিনের জন্য পাহাড় ভ্রমণের মজা উপভোগ করতে চাইলে অনায়াসেই তোমরা চলে আসতে পারো সারি সারি পাইন গাছ এবং চা বাগানে ঘেরা শান্ত নিরিবিলি পর্যটনকেন্দ্র এই মিরিকে। কিছুদিন আগে পর্যন্ত মিরিক কে একটি অফ বিট প্লেস হিসেবেই ধরা হতো। কিন্তু ধীরে ধীরে এই জায়গাটির সৌন্দর্য পর্যটকদের চোখে ধরা পড়তেই প্রচুর সংখ্যক পর্যটক প্রতি বছরই এখানে ঘুরতে আসছেন।
যে সমস্ত পর্যটক বন্ধুরা একটু নিরিবিলি এবং কম ভিড়ভাট্টা পছন্দ করো বিশেষ করে এই গরমে যখন সিকিম অথবা দার্জিলিং এর মত জনপ্রিয় পর্যটন কেন্দ্রগুলিতে পা ফেলার জায়গা নেই। তখন মিরিকের মত একটু কম পরিচিতি পাওয়া অথচ প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যে ভরপুর জায়গাটি কম খরচে একবার হলেও ঘুরে আসা যেতেই পারে। আর যদি নেহাতই দার্জিলিং ভ্রমণের ইচ্ছে থেকেই থাকে তবে আরো একটা দিন হাতে সময় নিয়ে এই জায়গাটাও কিন্তু তোমরা ঘুরে যেতে পারো। আজকের ভিডিওতে মিরিক সম্পর্কে সবকিছুই আলোচনা করলাম।

Mirik is a small town and a Notified Area of Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal in India. It is the headquarters of the Mirik subdivision. The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning (place burnt by fire).Mirik has become a popular tourist destination for its climate & natural beauty and easy accessibility. The centre of all attraction is the Sumendu lake which surrounded by a garden on one side and pine trees on the other and linked together by an arching footbridge called Indreni Pull (Rainbow Bridge).At around 20 °C the temperature is just apt for sightseeing and the place looks heavenly. This is the time when the tourists flock the place in large numbers. The Festivals are celebrated with great zeal in Mirik.
