Lyytikkälä ist ein Bauernhof im Südosten Finnlands, genauer gesagt in der kleinen Gemeinde Suomenniemi, die in der Region Mikkeli liegt.
Der Bauernhof war fast 200 Jahre in Familienbesitz und die Gebäude und Einrichtung sind nahezu unverändert geblieben.
Deshalb ist der Bauernhof ein kostbares Beispiel für die volkstümliche Lebensweise und der agrar geprägten Arbeitswelt vergangener Zeiten in Finnland.
Die Geschichte von Lyytikkälä konnte bis ins 18. Jahrhundert zurückverfolgt werden.
Damals diente der Hof einem Sattelgut als Hilfsgehöft, das sich durch seine Abgaben an den durch Reiterdienste verursachten Kosten beteiligte. Der Aufstieg von Lyytikkälä zu einem grossen Gut vollzog sich unter dem Hausherren Filip Lyytikäinen von den 50er Jahren des 19. Jahrhunderts bis zum Beginn des letzten Jahrhunderts.
