The CFL class 3000 is a class of twenty mixed use 200 km/h Tractis type electric locomotives ordered by the Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) in 1995 as part of a joint order with SNCB of 80 units from Alstom.
The CFL 3000 class have the same mechanical and electrical design as the SNCB 13 locomotives. They were ordered in 1995 to replace electric and diesel locomotives dating from the 1950/60s.
The class were constructed between 1998 and 1999, and entered service from 1998 to 2001. On introduction the class experienced a number of problems relating to electrical/electromagnetic interference with track circuits, signalling systems, and issues with noise introduction onto power supplies.
The locomotives share the work on Brussels - Luxembourg services. They are also used on freight services between Luxembourg and France/Belgium.

Athus (German: Athem, Luxembourgish: Attem, Walloon: Atu) is a part of Aubange city Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Aubange, located in the province of Luxembourg, Belgium.
It is located in the far south of the country, just near the borders with France and Luxembourg. It is a French speaking city, though the traditional language is Luxembourgish. The poet and novelist Hubert Juin (1926–1987) was born in Athus.
The city was famous during the 19th and 20th century because of its steelworks factory which closed in the 1970s.
The city is surrounded by two boundaries: the one with France and the other one with Luxembourg. The city was built around the Messancy river and the river Chiers, both right tributaries to the Meuse. Directly across the border with Luxembourg is the town of Rodange and the town of Pétange is 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) to the east. On the French side, the main neighbouring city is Longwy in Meurthe-et-Moselle, over 5 km to the south west.
Athus is situated at 200 kilometers from Brussels, 25 from Luxembourg City and 15 from Arlon.
Athus has a railway station, which connects it to other stations in the Belgian railway network and to those of Luxembourg and France. It is connected hourly to Luxembourg City and Esch-sur-Alzette for the Luxembourgish part, and also hourly to Arlon, Libramont and Virton on the Belgian routes. This railway route hosts cargo trains as well as passenger trains and has been operating for a number of years.
The city is situated just 10 kilometres south of European highway E 411/E42 between Luxembourg and Brussels.

The Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (Luxembourg National Railway Company, abbreviated CFL) is the national railway company of Luxembourg.
The Luxembourg rail system comprises 275 route-kilometres (170 miles), of which 140 kilometres (87 mi) is double track and 135 kilometres (84 mi) single track. Of the total track length of 617 kilometres (383 mi), 576 kilometres (358 mi) are electrified at 25 kV, 50 Hz.
Luxembourg borders Belgium, France and Germany. Correspondingly, there are cross-border services into these countries. Some are wholly run by CFL, whereas others are run by SNCF, NMBS/SNCB and DB. CFL passenger trains cover most of the network.
CFL operates most of its passenger trains using EMUs and electric locomotives with push-pull stock. The company also has a fleet of diesel locomotives for hauling freight trains and for general shunting purposes.

easy job...a trip to Spain ..part 2 (via the tunnel of Bielsa to Fraga)
part 2 of my trip to Spain .thuesday 10 january 2012 ,the video begin in St Gaudens (f) via the tunnel of Bielsa to my customer near Fraga (Lerida).This is not a realy good road for a loaded truck but it takes only 4h30 for this piece of road....the next time i go by the tunnel of Viehla
But i have enjoyed the very nice landscape over there

Walking Through the Streets of Brussels, Belgium
LA GRAND PLACE
La Grand-Place est la place centrale de la ville belge de Bruxelles. Mondialement renommée pour sa richesse ornementale, elle est bordée par les maisons des corporations, l'hôtel de Ville et la Maison du Roi. Elle est généralement considérée comme l'une des plus belles places du monde
Sur la Grand Place, cette statue représente d'Evrard T'serclaes un héros bruxellois qui joua un grand rôle dans la libération de la ville en 1356. L'oeuvre est de Dillens un sculpteur de talent, mais l'original a dû être enlevé, les milliers de passants la caressant pour obtenir du bonheur ou autre chose aurait fini par l'user complètement. C'est la réplique exacte de l'original réalisé à partir du moule de Dillens.
MANNEKEN PIS
C'est une fontaine de bronze mesurant 50 centimètres située dans le quartier de la Grand Place à Bruxelles. La fontaine représente un garçon qui urine. Elle est un des nombreux symboles de la Belgique. Manneken-Pis vient du néerlandais Manneke Pis qui signifie l'enfant qui pisse.
On ne sait pas exactement pourquoi cette statue a été commandée, mais de nombreuses histoires circulent. Une de celles-ci raconte que, lors de l'invasion de la Belgique par l'Espagne, un petit garçon vit une bombe, mais ne parvenait pas à l'éteindre. Alors, puisqu'il fut pris une forte envie, il urina sur la mèche. Une autre raconte qu'un petit garçon s'était perdu et son père l'avait trouvé dans sa position actuelle

LES GALERIES ROYALES SAINT-HUBERT
Les Galeries royales Saint-Hubert de Bruxelles (en néerlandais: Koninklijke Sint-Hubertusgalerijen) forment un complexe de trois passages commerciaux couverts sur toute leur longueur par un vitrage en arcades. Elles se composent de :
• la Galerie de la Reine (de la rue du Marché aux Herbes à la rue des Bouchers)
• la Galerie du Roi (de la rue des Bouchers à la rue d'Arenberg)
• la Galerie des Princes (de la Galerie du Roi à la rue des Dominicains)

Traveling from Tavira, Portugal to Huelva, Spain.
After a leisurely breakfast we strolled around the Gilao River and explored the Tavira market. Then is was time to board our bus and head to Huelva, Spain. Fortunately we grabbed the last two seats on a bus and about one hour later walked out of the Huelva bus terminal. Some areas we explored:
Plaza de Toros de La Merced – a bullring used for bull fighting since 1902
Santa Iglesia Catedral de la Merced de Huelva - Catholic place of worship built in 1775
The El knot del Puerto was designed by the artist José Noja, and symbolizes the bonds between the Port of Huelva and Huelva society.
Muelle de Riotinto – An inactive 19th-century pier.
Huelva is a city in southwestern Spain in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Huelva is home to Recreativo de Huelva, the oldest football club in Spain.
The people in Spain eat even later than those in Portugal and we had to quickly adjust with resturants closing between 3-4pm after lunch and not opening for dinner until around 8pm.

Randonnée vers la chapelle St Thibaut (Marcourt, Ardenne belge)
Aujourd'hui, promenade vers le superbe site de la chapelle St Thibaut à Marcourt, dans l'Ardenne belge. Tout ne se passe pas comme prévu et je m'emmêle un peu les pinceaux avec les balises, mais on finit par y arriver hein ! En chemin, Je vous raconte l'histoire d'une figure locale devenue célèbre et à la chapelle, figurez-vous que j’ai bien failli trouver l’amour ! Il manquait juste un tour… Peut-être que vous appliquerez mieux que moi le rituel magique... ????

Am iesit prin Malaga, am traversat Sevilia seara, spre orasul Isla Cristina.
Nu am gasit liber si am inoptat intr-un Repsol pina in vama cu Portugalia.
Dimineata dupa cafea, am traversat podul si am intrat in Castro Marim...
