Top 10 Best Places To Live In New Hampshire

In the northeastern United States of America, right on the Canadian border, you will find New Hampshire.
This beautiful state has it all; bustling and bright cities, national forests galore and snow-capped mountains for good measure.
New Hampshire is filled with great places to call home.

While that commitment to individual liberties continues today, it's also balanced by a strong sense of community.
A lack of income and sales tax make it desirable from a financial standpoint,
but that's just one of several reasons why so many people choose to make their home in the Granite State.

If you're contemplating a move to New England, it won't take long to fall in love with New Hampshire's peaceful atmosphere.
Native residents already know what it is that sets the state apart. Whether you're moving from across town or across the country.
Here are the 10 best places to live in New Hampshire in 2018:
10. Manchester. (affordable place)
9. Concord.
8. Nashua. (best for young professionals)
7. Gorham. (lowest cost of living)
6. Dover. (best for young professionals)
5. Amherst.
4. Bedford. (best suburbs to live)
3. Portsmouth. (best place to retire, find a job)
2. Madbury. (overall)

Newburyport, MA - 10 best things to do

Imagine strolling the boardwalk, browsing in eclectic shops, checking out beautiful historic architecture and enjoying the island life – all in one place! It's a dream made possible in Newburyport.

Located on the Merrimac River just 35 miles north of Boston, Newburyport has a bit of everything to offer visitors and residents alike. Visitors will want to stay in the city’s many charming B&Bs while residents enjoy all the amenities the city has to offer, including top-ranked schools and easy access to Anna Jacques Hospital. Newburyport is also popular for recreational boating and an official Coast Guard city. Just a short 15 minutes cruse down the Merrimac brings you to the Atlantic ocean with some of the best fishing and sailing around.

From its roots as a shipbuilding seaport, Newburyport has grown into a hip urban destination with plenty of idyllic charm. While downtown, you’ll want to join those walking the boardwalk and taking in the breathtaking view of the river. You’ll find a little something for everyone (and even yourself) in the local shops and unique art galleries. You’ll love dining al fresco in the city’s diverse restaurants and taking in the many outdoor concerts and festivals.

Just a mile away you’ll find a beach oasis on Plum Island. The barrier island offers a taste of “island life” within the city limits. Plum Island is perfect for sunbathing in the summer, but also for birdwatching and enjoying nature in every season.

The city’s 480-acre Maudslay State Park and many other trails provide plenty of ways to enjoy nature. All you have to do is step outside your door to enjoy year round outdoor activities, from walking and biking to cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Downtown Newburyport has maintained its charm by preserving the city’s many old buildings and has a state designated cultural district. You’ll feel like you’re walking back in time as you wander the brick-lined neighborhoods, taking in all the Federalist and Victorian architecture.

But Newburyport is a forward-thinking city, too. The industrial park is home to 80 businesses and growing. Companies large and small have found Newburyport to be the perfect place, especially with easy access to major routes like 95 and 495 and a close-proximity to Boston.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect day-trip or for your new home, Newburyport is it.

Desi in New Hampshire ???????????????? || USA Road Trip EP.15

I visited Manchester City in New Hampshire. Manchester is a city on the Merrimack River in southern New Hampshire. The Currier Museum of Art features works by major American and European artists. It also operates the Frank Lloyd Wright–designed Zimmerman House. In an old fabric mill, the Millyard Museum traces how the nearby Amoskeag Falls shaped the city and its textile industry. Trails in sprawling Derryfield Park lead to the 19th-century Weston Observatory.

Why is New Hampshire So Weird???

Few states are as unique as New Hampshire. It's a New England state that had a hand in the American Revolution, but it's different than the other surrounding states, like Massachusetts. In fact, it shares some characteristics of southern states. Despite being one of the smallest states in the country, it has an outsized influence on national politics, for one thing. About the only thing that is similar to other northeastern states is that New Hampshire has a population of educated residents. It's a weird state, ya'll. Join me while I uncover the various reasons why it's such a unique place to live.

New Hampshire Living: The Best Places to Live in New Hampshire // Merrimack

New Hampshire Living: The Best Places to Live in New Hampshire // Merrimack

Want the advantages of city life without its shortcomings? Merrimack, New Hampshire is the place for you! On this episode of Coop Knows New Hampshire, I share with you just how special and awesome living in Merrimack can be.

New Hampshire Living: The Best Places to Live in New Hampshire // Merrimack

Its convenient location makes it easy to be at the Manchester airport in fifteen minutes, an hour from the Boston airport, 45 minutes from the beach, and right in the middle of the two major surrounding towns, Nashua and Manchester. The best part about Merrimack though, is that it offers so much to do, you don’t need to travel the distance!

New Hampshire Living: The Best Places to Live in New Hampshire // Merrimack

One of the best things about Merrimack, is all of the opportunities to be outdoors. More specifically, the hiking trails it has to offer. Twin Bridge Parks tends to be one of the most popular parks in the area and it’s easy to tell why. With beautiful scenic views, a children's playground, and well groomed hiking trails that leads to a quaint pond. This is the perfect place to go to get the kids out of the house, or even your dog! Other trails/hikes close by include, Wildcat Falls, Greater Wood Millepede Loop, Loop Trail, and Maple Trail Loop.

New Hampshire Living: The Best Places to Live in New Hampshire // Merrimack

An important factor when deciding where to live, or where to take a visit is, of course, the food. There’s places like The Village Eatery, Tucker’s, and my personal favorite, Buckley’s. Buckley’s truly has it all. You can stop into their bakery in the morning for coffee and sweets, and then hit them up again for dinner and the best steak of your life! Their wood grilled food mixed with the rustic tavern feel is reason enough to give Merrimack a visit.

New Hampshire Living: The Best Places to Live in New Hampshire // Merrimack

If you’re looking to live in Merrimack there are plenty of housing options. They have beautiful apartments, condos, townhouses, all the way to single family homes. The neighborhoods are safe, scenic, and surrounded by all the fun the area has to offer. If settling down isn’t in your plans yet, definitely come to Merrimack for a visit! This would make for a great weekend getaway with friends, family, or a loved one!

New Hampshire Living: The Best Places to Live in New Hampshire // Merrimack

Some of the activities around include Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour, Greeley Park, and last but certainly not least, the Merrimack Outlets. You can arrive on a Friday evening and get dinner at Buckley’s, head back there Saturday morning for breakfast before heading on a hike in Twin Bridge Park and then spend the rest of the day doing some retail therapy at the outlets which features 100 brand designers. Spend your Sunday relaxing at the brewery sipping on a nice beverage and taking in the scenic views. Sounds like the perfect weekend to me! What are you waiting for?
