नमस्कार, आज पाहुयात विदर्भातील बुलढाणा जिल्ह्यातील मेहकर शहरातील ऐतिहासिक घुमट, अतिशय सुंदर पण सध्या भग्न असलेली सुंदर वास्तु, तसें मेहकर मध्ये अनेक ऐतिहासिक जागा आहेत ज्या वेळोवेळी मी दाखवील्या आहेतच, हा घुमट खूप मोठा असून आत दोन समाध्या आहेत, बाहेर जसे नक्षीकाम केले आहे तसेच आतील सुद्धा सुंदर बांधकाम आहे.

Kanchani mahal, Mehkar-Buldhana
Kanchani Mahal carries several stories and myths and it is believed that the Queen Kanchani used to live here. Kanchani Mahal is an old building. It is a myth that Queen Kanchani is very egoist & desire to see Lamp of Devi (Lonar) from Mehkar. She built up this Mahal but when she went to terrace of Mahal god curse her, she felt down & become a slab of stone. The aforesaid monument is currently in ruins due to lack of attention from the ASI. However, the story connected to Kanchani mahal seems to be a myth.

(Biggest Balaji Idol) Balaji Temple - Mehkar...MAHARASTRA (Pt. 1)
This is very old temple which has biggest Balaji idol.The idol is made in single black stone. Mehkar is located near Lonar Lake. It is nearly 130 km away from Ellora Caves and 21 km from Lonar.It has a temple of the Hindu god Balaji that is more than 120 years old. The documents written on copper found with Balaji's sculpture are now in the British Museum, England. it is the largest sculpture of LORD BALAJI in Asia.
Mehkar also has a wonder place called Haran Tekdi which has a great old temple. It is a myth that Lord Ram had caught hold of one bare [Haran], hence it is named as Haran Tekdi
