The Wouri is a river in Cameroon. Cameroon has two major rivers, the Sanaga, the longest at about 525 km long and the Wouri, the largest. The Wouri forms at the confluence of the rivers Nkam and Makombé, 32 km northeast of the city of Yabassi. Portuguese explorers led by Fernando Pô were the first Europeans to arrive the coast of Cameroon. They reached Douala through the Wouri River. They named it Rio dos Camarões (the River of Prawns), which later resulted to the name of the country.

Hiya fam, sharing my experiences from my time back home in Cameroon after 5 years. I stayed in Douala - the economic capital and most populated city in Cameroon. It also has the largest port in Central Africa and the most vibrant nightlife in Cameroon. Had a great time connecting with old friends, my mom and also enjoying the little things a.k.a traditional organic Cameroonian food, street food and the vibrant nightlife.
