After mercato, I went to visit my friend who lives in Caldonazzo. Caldonazzo Lake is one of the go-to lakes of Trentino as it is quite close to the city center.

I was blessed to spend a number of days in Merano Italy. It is a wonderful scenic town in the South Tyrol of Northern Italy. The drive there from Austria was incredible and undoubtedly a MUST-visit area. Merano has a fabulous layout and is easy to walk around the whole place. Doss Trento, the tomb of Cesare Battisti
The Doss Trento ( Dòs Trent in the local dialect ) is a small hill that rises on the bank right bank of the River Adige in the neighborhood Piedicastello the capital of Trentino .It is a spur that at its highest point reaches 309 m asl , rising over a hundred meters above the valley floor, and is covered by 8 hectares of forest. Together with the Dosso di San Rocco and the Dosso Sant'Agata they form the three teeth of the ancient Roman Tridentum .The Doss Trento was portrayed in 1495 by the painter Albrecht Dürer in the watercolor Trintperg .
On the top of Doss Trento a mausoleum dedicated to the irredentist Cesare Battisti was erected in 1935 , in which the remains are preserved, with a relative photographic exhibition that tells the story. Next to the mausoleum, pointing towards the city of Trento, there are four guns model 105/28 , among the last still in existence, which are part of the so-called Battisti Battery.
