Mangatarem derived its name from the combination of the Ilocano word “Manga ken Tirem” which means “mango and oyster”. According to old tales, the name “Mangatarem” was attributed to woodcutters who happened to meet each other in a forested area which is now the present site of the town. One of them had a mango as his viand while the other one had oysters. When both of them saw this, they exclaimed “Manga ken Tirem”, thus, the name Mangatirem or Mangatarem.

Mapandan is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Pangasinan.
The municipality has a land area of 21.01 square kilometers or 8.11 square miles which constitutes 0.39% of Pangasinan's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 38,058. This represented 1.20% of the total population of Pangasinan province, or 0.72% of the overall population of the Ilocos Region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 1,811 inhabitants per square kilometer or 4,693 inhabitants per square mile.

Hi, everyone this is our Market in my hometown in Mapandan, Pangasinan with bunch of foods ,vegetables and more fruits .And outside the market infront also have barbecues, street foods and a small cafe .And more like burger ,pizza seven eleven.
