Canal des Pangalanes, 2 day boat trip, Madagascar
On vacation in Madagascar we took 2day boat trip on the Canal des Pangalanes. We started in Mahanoro and sailed to Nosy Varika to stay the night. The next day we took of and sailed to mananjary. We visited some villages on this very nice boat trip.

Miary est un village situé à moins de 10km de Tuléar, dans le Sud de la Grande île. Vous pourrez découvrir des champs de cultures tels que le manioc, la canne a sucre, le coton, les patates douces... Vous croiserez beaucoup de charrettes à zébus sur votre route, et si vous êtes accompagnés d'une personne locale, elle pourra même négocier pour vous un petit tour dans une de ces charrettes.
Si on me posait la question, que voir à Madagascar ? Alors c'est sûr que mentionnerai une petite excursion au village de Miary car elle permet de comprendre plein de choses sur le peuple malgache : ses croyances, ses origines, son mode de vie, ses coutumes, les tenues traditionnelles, les coiffures, le quotidien de chacun...
Ainsi, si votre destination est Tuléar et que vous vous posez encore la question : que voir à Madagascar, alors n'oubliez pas de faire une petite escale dans le village de Miary !

Après un bref arrêt a Ambositra me voila donc sur la cote est, Manakara qui pour moi seras un coup de coeur ! Ville de pêcheur très paisible, j'aurais la chance de parcourir un canal en pirogue avec un guide, qui me montreras pas mal de chose, un village de pêcheur, un labo d'huiles essentielles, une plantation de vanille mais encore des pêcheurs en action... Ensuite direction Ranomafana, il y a la bas un parc national avec beaucoup de végétation en autre une foret tropical ! J'ai eu la chance de voir mes premiers lémuriens mais aussi pas mal d'autre animaux ou insectes...
Désolé mais pour Ranomafana j'avais complètement zapper de vidé la carte mémoire de ma caméra, du coup obliger de filmer au téléphone...`

Since there were no direct roads between Mananjary and Ambohitsara we did as the locals, took the ferry on the waterways parallel to the coastline of Madagascar, the Pangalanes Channel. No long hours on the motorbikes today. Neverteless it turned out to be a great adventure ride and a great opportunity to watch the life along the waterways.
Ambohitsara is the only place in Madagascar where you can see an elephant. To add to the mystery the legend says it comes from Mecca.
